Driving direction sent to callers mobile phone via text/sms ?
Hi, I'm wondering firstly if somebody already did this and what the best way might be to go about it. Basically I want to have a context in * which could just be a regular extension that you can transfer an incoming caller to. This extension could then do several things, the one bit I need advise on is sending a sms to the callers cell/mobile phone with driving directions. 1) Firstly it

Asterisk Google API applications - $4500 bounties available
In conjunction with my last post on Tellme I want to write another suggestion for an application I had. I don't know if you guys have come across Google Gas http://www.ahding.com/cheapgas But basically it is an application that this guy has developed using the Google API to search an online database on gas prices in your area. One of my strong beliefs about how Asterisk is going

New SMS gateway command
I thought it might be of interest to the group to pass on information about a replacement SMS command we have developed for sending text messages from Asterisk. The FASTSMS command will route text messages to mobile phones in 154 countries. Applications include voicemail notifications, missed call alerts, automated text receipts for callers (e.g. call reference number), system alerts, etc, etc.

FW: TellMe pay-as-you-go? - UPDATE
As some of you know I've been trying to facilitate an involvement with www.tellme.com <http://www.tellme.com/> speech recognition tools and Asterisk. See www.studio.tellme.com <http://www.studio.tellme.com/> There have been a number of people who are already integrating the two and utilizing Tellme as an ASP to deliver speech recognition to their asterisk applications.

FW: Microsoft buys Tellme
http://deancollinsblog.blogspot.com/2007/03/microsoft-buys-tellme.html I thought I would email this post I made on my blog from yesterday as a way of stimulating discussion on this. It looks like the Asterisk community is no closer to getting a Pre-Paid 'Offboard Speech Recognition Processing' SIP gateway than ever. I've left the

Greetings, I''m reporting on what I found after trying to use mechanize on a site like www.tellme.com. With mechanize versions 0.6.5, 0.6.4, 0.6.3, I was able to use mechanize without any problems on www.tellme.com. However, when I upgraded to 0.6.6 or 0.6.7, mechanize simply ground to a halt after a while. I''m not sure where the problem lies, but after looking at the

TellMe Voice Recognition in Asterisk working..
A couple of weekends ago I decided to see if I could get Asterisk to play nice with TellMe's VoiceXML studio. They provide the VoiceXML studio for free, and you can access it through SIP, so I thought this would be a fun and cheap way to integrate voice recognition into my IVR. I have posted a brief tutorial with code and examples on the voip-info.org wiki (

Running a script after evalScripts has completed
Hello, (I originally posted this on the Prototype-Core group by mistake, sorry) I am running a request via Ajax.Updater with evalScripts = true and an onComplete function. I find that my onComplete function executes before the script content has been evaluated. Looking through prototype.js (v. 1.5.1) this seems to be caused by the scripts being executed as part of this line (1352):

Occasional SMS problem
Hi, I am using asterisk's SMS functionality for sending messages. Most of the time it works without problems (as in situation 1) but sometimes something seems to go wrong with the transmission (as in situation 2). I am using "Deutsche Telekom", Germany's main TELCO, so I suppose the problem must be on my end. Can anybody tell me what is going on or how I could narrow down

Asterisk SMS configuration
Hi, I've been trying to setup SMS on asterisk - would be useful to have for things like server outages, email from important customers, etc. I can send SMS with no issues, although I have to send it over the Zap line.. none of the VOIP providers will route the call. It arrives on my mobile phone a couple of minutes later (usually.. had to wait half an hour for one). Incoming however just

Hello; I need two scenarios: 1) If someone sent SMS message, then we need to query information from the database based on information sent by the SMS (like the name or the mobile number), after querying from the database, we need to reply by the SMS. Can asterisk do this? To which level? 2) I have vtiger CRM, and it is possible to send SMS (there is a button: send SMS), the question is: what is
