IAX2->SIP->meetme = ZOMBIE
Hi all,
I'm experiencing a problem with SIP channels going ZOmBIE after the
following sequence of events:
- IAX2 client calls SIP client
- SIP client consultive transfers (using sip REFER) the call to a MeetMe
extension, and hangs up.
At this point, the IAX2 client will indeed be in the meetme room, but a
'show channels' at the * CLI reveals that the SIP channels that were

Uniden UIP200 and Asterisk v1.2.4: problem not registering
Hello
We recently moved to Asterisk 1.2.4 (from 1.0.x) and our 10 Uniden UIP200
have stopped working ever since.
We can make a call with the UIP200 to any other extensions, but it can not
receive a call. In fact the UIP200 always appears offline:
It does show up in asterisk a few seconds after the UIP200 reboot:

Asterisk Versions
Hi all,
Assuming 1.0.7 is the latest stable version, how/where can I find out
the different CVS revisions available and a description of what has
been patched/updated in each CVS revision so I can decide whether to
leave my 1.0.7 installation as is, or if I need (or think I need) to
patch it with a CVS version?
Thanks,
Waldo

UIP200
Hi,
We've recently deployed 6 Uniden UIP200 phones (running firmware 4.54).
We've been having some serious problems:
1) All the phones randomly reboot themselves. Typically when trying to
answer or initiate a call.
2) All the phones will disconnect from a calls with the PSTN after 2-3
minutes.
3) The phones are unable to interact with a remote IVR (digit presses

Overriding Caller ID
Hello list,
We have some kind of a problem with our Asterisk installation. We
want to be able to publish different caller id when placing outbound
calls through the PSTN. We have Asterisk with TE410P and T1 from FDN
Communications. The problem is that all our outbound calls show our
main number, regardless of what we set with SetCallerID, even using

Uniden uip200
I got a Uniden UIP200 and started to configure it and I am lost....
I have a tftp server setup on my * server and have the files unidencom.txt
and uniden<mac>.txt there. But it doesn't quite work yet. It registers as
a sip phone (sip show peers), but I cann't dial it and the display shows #1
disconnected all the time. It has firmware version BS4.59a in it.
I have no idea if I

Uniden UIP200 -- configured, but not working?
Hi, all. I've got my Uniden UIP200 configured via TFTP (had to get DHCP
3.0.1 -- Debian's latest is 2.0.x!), and all seems well... except for the
minor detail that it doesn't work. It registers fine with Asterisk, but
when I copied my Grandstream's sip.conf info and plugged in the Uniden
stuff, no dice. Any ideas?
Thanks...

4+ Port FXS Analog Device
I'm looking for an inexpensive way to connect 20 analog phones to
asterisk. I could get a bunch of Linksys or Sipura boxes but was
wondering if there is a more cost effective way? I came across the
Mediatrix 1104 and even the Mediatrix 1124 but that comes out to be
almost $100/port. I might as well buy inexpensive IP phone. Does
anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks,

Uniden UIP200 Opinions
Hi,
I've read through the archives, and wanted to get an updated opinion on the
Uniden UIP200 phone. Seems like there were a lot of opinions that it was a
good phone, but there were a few items that people were waiting for firmware
updates for, but that was in 2004.
I'm going to be using them in an office, 12 phones, on a LAN connected to an
asterisk box.
Thanks for any advice or

Asterisk Queues and Strategies
I was playing today with the different queueing strategies in
queues.conf when I noticed the following behavior.
I have 4 agents defined in a queue in queues.conf. These agents login
using AgentCallbackLogin. The strategy in the queue is set to
leastrecent. I place four calls into the queue and * sends only one
call to the least recently used agent. If that agent does not pick
up, the

Uniden UIP200 configuration -- manual MIA?
Hi, all. Got my Uniden UIP200 today (ordered from thetwistergroup.com),
and was very excited to set it up... until I came to the realization
that there were no docs with it whatsoever. There was, however, a sheet
of paper with the stock warnings (don't use the phone in the tub, etc.),
AND a URL -- for documentation. Score!
Well, no.
The URL it gave me, bcs.uniden.com, does indeed have

STUN vs NAT Helper
I'm wondering if anyone can recommend one over the other. I'm mostly
interested in running open source solutions, so I would prefer if
your recommendations are within the open source arena.
Basically, I contemplated the idea of using SER as a NAT Helper and
possibly as a SIP server for a portion of our user base. We prefer to
have Asterisk in the mix because of the additional

Uniden UIP200 firmware v4.63
I just spent the last hour or so trying to get this firmware to work across
a NAT with no success. I have a GS BT101 working through the same NAT, so I
don't think it's the NAT itself.
I have a STUN setup in * and pointed the UIP200 to it and I tryed several
combinations of nat= in the sip.conf and in the config files for this phone.
No luck(yes, I did a reload now with each change in

Uniden consult transfer
Hi all,
I curious to know if other UIP200 users have this same issue:
You flash (XFER button) to consult-transfer a caller to another extension. If
the transfer target party is unavailable (ie: voicemail), there appears to be
no way to get the original caller back.
If it's a known limitation, has anyone come up with a functional work around?
Thank

Multitenant Call Center Setup
Hi list (again),
I have another question which I have not been able to resolve from
neither the wiki nor Google.
I've been able to configure a multi-tenant setup of asterisk for 2
small call centers with no problem, by simply playing with contexts
(which I guess is how everyone else is doing it).
The problem I have is that I've only been able to configure one

Asterisk on NetBSD
I was reading on the wiki that Asterisk runs very solid on NetBSD.
Can anyone comment? What is the definition of solid? Who is running
Asterisk on NetBSD and which version of Asterisk are you running?
Also, I know there is limited support for Digium cards on NetBSD, but
is there any support at all? Would a TE410P work in NetBSD? I want to
build a very simple VoIP to TDM gateway. My idea

Asterisk in Production
I was reading on the wiki different possibilities of automatically
restarting asterisk every so often. In some places, people mention
they restart it once a day other on shorter or longer intervals. I
believe the main reason people are doing this is because of possible
memory leaks.
I'm running a system for IVR services. It's not a heavily loaded box,
but there is almost always

Uniden UIP 200 and Asterisk.
Hi, I'm new to asterisk, and have a uniden UIP 200 that I got off of ebay.
I'm having trouble getting the phone to register with asterisk. I've tried
a few different settings. I'd be extremely grateful if someone with a
similar setting could give me the sip.conf block for the UIP and the
settings you're using in uniden.txt.
Here's what I have currently:
