The only downside is that once you initiate a transfer, there is no way to cancel out of it and get your caller back (ie: the person you are transferring to is unavailable). Unidien is looking into implementing this in a future firmware. Of course, the more people that buy the phone and request the feature from support, the more heat their marketing will put on dev to get it done ;-)> 2) can i buy the phones in europe, especially in germany? > > thanks in advance, > jan goericke > _______________________________________________ > Asterisk-Users mailing list > Asterisk-Users@lists.digium.com > http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-users > To UNSUBSCRIBE or update options visit: > http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-users-- .................................. hello, yesterday the uniden uip200 phone was recommended to someone. i am looking for an alternative to grandstream bt-100 because i can not do a supervised tranfer with it. here my questions: 1) does the uip200 support supervised transfers? 2) can i buy the phones in europe, especially in germany? thanks in advance, jan goericke
1- I don't have it right now, but I've heard that the supervised transfer in uniden has some down-sides and doesn't work that good you may expect. but this product has a responsive support team whose are working on new features. the sound quality of uniden is compared with Cisco ip phones. 2- this is my problem too. I couldn't find a reseller which could send me one in a reasonable time. - shabanip ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jan Goericke" <asterisk@kugelbauchadmin.de> To: <asterisk-users@lists.digium.com> Sent: Friday, July 16, 2004 1:32 PM Subject: [Asterisk-Users] some questions on uniden uip200> hello, > > yesterday the uniden uip200 phone was recommended to someone. i am looking > for an alternative to grandstream bt-100 because i can not do a supervised > tranfer with it. here my questions: > > 1) does the uip200 support supervised transfers? > 2) can i buy the phones in europe, especially in germany? > > thanks in advance, > jan goericke > _______________________________________________ > Asterisk-Users mailing list > Asterisk-Users@lists.digium.com > http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-users > To UNSUBSCRIBE or update options visit: > http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-users >

Regarding the UIP200, I couldn't find any distributors for it in Australia, and even in the US it seems to be very hard to find, at least on the net.
