BT101 new firmware problem (1.0.6.3)
Hello,
We found out that after upgrading the firmware in our GrandStream
BudgeTone phones, that we were not able to transfer calls anymore. We
use the BT's own tranfering mechanisme. We can dial the phone where the
call should be tranfered to. But after that, the original caller stays
in music on hold on the server and there's no way to get the calling
channel back again (not to the

Call Transfer using SIP clients
Hello all,
First of all, let me apologize about the length of this message, but I suppose
it was necessary to include the details.
I've spent quite some time already trying to get the call transfer function to
work on my Asterisk installation. Let me first describe the general situation
of the setup I am using, so you might be able to pinpoint the cause of the
problem.

How to map zap channels to ISDN extensions on queues?
I need to determine the state of extensions/port based on active
channels on my asterisk. For SIP and AIX extensions this is not a real
problem because the channel names they create relate to the SIP/AIX
extensions (just strip the '-' sign and anything after). For ISDN
extensions addressed by Zap, it turned out problematic. As I figured out
there'se no direct relation between a

snom190 and SUBSCRIBE failures with 407
Hi,
I have searched and searched, but cannot identify what is happening here...
I have several snom190 phones, and all of them have the 5th function
key set to call "asterisk" by using the "destination" option. This
automatically causes the phone to SUBSCRIBE for NOTIFY messages for
the "asterisk" destimation.
Asterisk does not seem to like the SUBSCRIBE requests.

OT: Zap channels intermittently bridging with SNOM190
Hi guys/girls,
We are running a TDM04B card with Asterisk in a Linux box that has 15 GrandStream102 extensions and 1 SNOM190 phone which we are using as an operator console. The FXO ports in the TDM04B are plugged directly into our telecoms provider's analogue lines.
Something I've picked up with the SNOM is that sometimes when there are two active incoming calls via Zap channels they end

Snom190 intercom
Hi All...
I'm trying to get the intercom feature working on some snom 190 phones
but having no luck...
As you can see from the SIP trace below (from the called phone),
intercom=true is being appended
to the To: header as per requirements. I've email'd snom a few days ago
but have yet to
get a response.
On my 190s, im running snom190-SIP 3.57v.
I am pulling the config for the

[Asterisk-Dev] Severe ISDN signal distortion in CVS-HEAD with octoBRI
BUG/SYMPTOMS:
1.Under certain circumstances, octoBRI (and most likely quadBRI) ISDN
cards (Junghanns/CologneChip) severely distort certain ISDN payload.
2.Although these claims relate to the bristuff patch, the problem might
not be limited to bristuff and in fact be rather asterisk/zaptel/libpri
related.
3.Signal distortion is limited to the use of the CVS version of the
Bristuff patch for

Snom phone hint exten question
Hi,
I am sorry to be asking this but the wiki is down and has been for a
couple of days and I need to get this working before Monday to get my
live system setup.
Trying to get the Snom 190's and soon to arrive 3com 3102's to use the
function keys and for the life of me I can't work it out from the
conversations on the archive what I am going exactly wrong here?

BRIstuff/QuadBRI problem: Ring requested on unconfigured channel 255/255 span 5
Hi all,
I'm running a stable Asterisk on a HP DL380G2 1.4Ghz 0,5GB RAM
equipped with 1x TE410P and 2xJunghanns QuadBRI running in NT-mode.
Connected to the BRI-Ports are 12 Fax-Modems (Elsa MicroLink ISDN/TL V.34)
which are only operating in dial out analog mode to deliver fax messages.
After a while of running fine (50-200 dial out connections)
on some S0 spans the following message occurs

Pushing new firmware to Snom 190
Anyone know how I can push a firmware update to a Snom 190 without using
DHCP? In the web interface, I specify a path to the Snom firmware, and it
works, except I have to physically press OK to get the update to download. I
need to do it remotely...

Grandstream and Transfers
Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone's come across this issue, and what might be a fix for it:
We've got several BT-101's deployed, and upgraded to firmware v.1.0.5.16. The
phone can do proper supervised transfer, but _only_ once. If the user attempts
to transfer a second time, it won't work.
any suggestions/hints/tips are welcome..

Success story
Hi all,
Just a little note for the records and archives. We see many small
glitches / troubles in the mailing-list but rarely success stories ...
Here's one :
Asterisk is running perfectly fine in our setup :
Debian 3.0 stable / Athlon 1.8, 256 MB Ram / Digium E-100P / Swisscom
PRI isdn
We have 6 companies (more to come) sharing the system in the building
with a total of about 20

Vmail & Snom 190s
Hi all,
I got a couple of Snom 190's through this week and after some initial
foolishness I have them both setup no problems.
But here comes the except.
When there is voicemail waiting the softbutton appears but the phone
always dials its own extension. No matter what I put into the "mailbox"
parameter on the line settings. (Phone registers correctly with * and

Slightly OT - Snom 190 function keys via subscribed config
Hi All,
I realise this is off topic, but its likely the best place to ask!
I sent an email to snom support a few days ago but have yet to recieve a
response..
Perhaps some one has found a solution to this problem already? I've searched
the mailing lists and google and found nothing useful. I've also read
Snom's mass deployment
documentation but thats no real help in this case.

hints lost after reload
We are running * 1.0 and have 6 snom 200's and one snom 220. the line
hints work until I issue a reload command and then the snom hints stop
working. I can re-create this scenario on 2 systems and with snom 190's
also. is there a way to fix this? the only solution I can come up with
is to reboot the phones.
Thanks in advance,

Some echo?
I have a 12 channel PRI with SNOM 190's and asterisk CVS from January.
Most calls are fine, all incoming calls are fine, but I am getting
echo on a significant number of outgoing calls.
The person on the other side hears a perfect call, but the SIPphone
side gets to hear themselves.
It happens 100% of the time to some numbers (outgoing only), and only
sporadically to others.
Has anyone
