The agenda for Astricon Europe in Madrid June 15-17 is now coming
together. It will be an international conference, with speakers from

participating in the first Astricon - the Astricon where Mark released
Asterisk 1.0 on the conference floor, during his keynote!
Many active members of the Asterisk community talks at the conference,

RE: [Asterisk-biz] Asterisk training and certification :: AstriconTraining
I feel this is a slap in the face for those of us that have been here and I
don't feel I should HAVE to pay to be certified... I think me and MANY
others are about to walk out of the project over this. I have already
spoken with many people that are close to the project. You're hurting US
and our ability to make money. I still know the code better than most of
the people that will be

Who is going to AstriCon (TheAsteriskConference)?
Well I'm stunned no one has suggested a webcast option.
I mean we aren't talking a bunch of people unable to grasp the concepts
of chat/voice/vision sessions with a log in/remote display capability.
If you think this is an option let me know I have someone who has some
software they wouldn't mind stress testing as a trial.
Cheers,
Dean

CVS-HEAD and Caller ID -- Pulling my hair out!
I have looked into this callerid problem now for a few hours.
1) Caller id on a sipura-2000 now shows:
cidname
2000
Where cidname is the new outputted formate from the cid_rewrite agi script
and 2000 is the exten number.
In looking at the Dial() application,
option "o"
'o' -- Original (inbound) Caller*ID should be placed on the outbound

Bugfix for CVS-HEAD-06/26/04-21:56:45
Hiya,
I sent this bugfix to the asterisk-dev mailing list, and modified it as I
noticed side effects, but now it appears to be finished. Nobody seemed to
notice it there, so I thought I'd post here, as it seems to be something
that will be needed as people update to the latest CVS version. So...read
on :)

CVS HEAD won't compile for me
I checked out CVS HEAD today and tried to compile it with no luck, so
then I checked out the stable version and compiled it successfully. I'm
99% sure that I'm not missing anything and that I'm following the
instructions correctly (I'm no guru, but I've compiled lots of programs
successfully).
My question is this: is it fairly common that the CVS HEAD version
won't

*** Asterisk Sunday (hrrm) News: Moving ahead at CVS Warp 5
Sunday news is today published on a monday. Yesterday was fourth of
july, and I used that as an excuse for being off line yesterday.
(Sweden's national day is June 6th - and it's not yet a public holiday,
btw). Most of my Asterisk time lately have been used for producing
the registration site for Astricon and tracking down speakers that
haven't sent in their material for the conference

*** Asterisk Summer News: Forget numbers, dial by domain!
Welcome to a new issue of Asterisk Summer News!
The holiday season is coming to an end here in Sweden, people are
getting back to work and the kids will start going to school next week.
Life is slowly adopting to normal and I have to start dressing more
towards a businessman than a beach bum. Guess I have to start going
to the gym again as well. Anyway, back to the topic. Asterisk and
VoIP.

CVS HEAD h323 no longer builds?
Attempts to perform a "make all" in /usr/src/asterisk/channels/h323
fails with countless errors of the form:
/usr/src/pwlib/include/ptlib/ptime.h:152: macro or `#include' recursion
too deep
In file included
A "make all" using the stable branch builds with the same pwlib code but
of course the h323 code in the stable branch doesn't work.
So it seems those of us who

SIPit 26 in Sweden - organized by Edvina
Friends,
SIPit is the main interoperability event for all things SIP. It's organized by the SIP Forum and creates good
feedback to the IETF. Asterisk has been participating in SIPit during many years and in many variants
- videocaps, Marc Blanchet's IPv6 branch and the standard Digium releases.
All these tests has lead to a large amount of improvements for Asterisk and have helped us

OT: ManxPower 2005 European Tour
