GSM Hunting
Hi,
Need to implement hunting (create a hunt group so my
subscribers can have a single GSM number for access to
me)of GSM SIMs on a GSM bank independent of the Telco
for the SIMs.
Anyone got an EXACT idea how to do this?
Thanks,
Latex.

Limiting call minutes on a GSM SIM
Hi!
I'm considering to buy a GSM bridge to save on GSM calls. Right now they
are offering subscriptions with 200 minutes each month for almost nothing,
however the 400 minutes subscriptions are considerably more expensive.
Most GSM bridges can cater for 2 SIM cards, is there a way for Asterisk to
run the first SIM card to it's max and then switch to the second? (If one
call would

GSM to GSM call with callerid passthrough
Hi All,
I have a GSM to VoIP gateway (specifically yeaster TG400) which I am trying
to use for kind of a call intercept between two GSM users. Call comes
through one SIM and goes out through another Sim with our Asterisk in
between to log the call. This works fine but we need the original callerid
to pass-through through the outgoing SIM.
I have tried every possible configuration on Asterisk that

Issue between Asterisk Queue and GSM gateway when trying to use call waiting feature
Hi masters,
I?m not an expert on this my friends, but I?m trying to understand which the expected behaviour is from Asterisk side when you deal with the following scenario:
Caller ?> GSM Gateway with SIM card A ?> Asterisk queue ?> extension 1000
GSM gateway with call waiting activated on SIM A
Queue with ?skip busy agent? disabled and ringall strategy.
SIP extension 1000 with call

GSM / 3g channel bank
More than 60% of our outbound calls are now to mobiles, so the time has
come to whack in a gsm channel bank.
Does anyone have any preference of bank ? Do you use a PRI or VOIP
connection from the bank to asterisk ? Real-world experiences are sooooo
much better than marketing blurb ;)
We currently have a TE412P with a free socket, so we have a choice
either way. I am looking for up to 30

VoIP-GSM gateway problem
I bought a MV-372 for 2 SIM cards as the one channel model seems to work
well (see
http://www.voip-info.org/wiki/view/Setup+MV-370+GSM+Gateway+with+Asterisk).
The setup is such:
--------- Inet --> VoIP provider ---> POTS
|
|
(iax2, NAT)
|
asterisk
(on abox with iptables fw)
|
(SIP, LAN)
|----------> SNOM190 phones

asterisk gsm gateway hardware recommendation?
Hello,
I would like to implement a home GSM gateway using asterisk. What
would you recommend me as a low-cost hardware for creating a gsm
channel? I found 2n gsm gateway, that supports sip and chan_blue for
bluetooth connections. Any recommendations?
Basically, I want to end calls to some GSM number in my sip
telephone and for some prefixes dial out using that same sip
telephone. Also

*My apologies if this message is posted 3 times, I was trying to sent it to

Sales support of my telco have no idea what I am trying to do. They asked

Connecting 1-2 GSM ports to asterisk?
Hi, List,
I am looking for a cheapest (and therefore most funny) way to attach
GSM card to my asterisk home box.
Needed features:
Calls+SMS in/out
one or two SIM cards (ports)
Should I try looking for a GSM PCI card that is compatible with
linux/asterisk, or GSM USB card, or modern full-blown SIP GSM gateway
(with ethernet)? Maybe an ordinary cell phone with USB interface and
mangling with

opencall.org is changing to soft-switch.org
Hi,
Anyone using my spandsp or unicall software please note that
opencall.org is shifting to soft-switch.org. HP have a line of telephony
products called Opencall, which were very obscure in 1999, when I
registered opencall.org. A search for "opencall" on Google back then
returned only references to theatrical agents. opencall.com and
opencll.net were theatrical sites. Now a search

GSM and SS7 Questions
I have two questions for the group.
#1 - I'm looking to use some GSM SIM cards with my Asterisk PBX. Can
anyone recommend a gateway? I need about 10-15 SIM slots.
#2 - I'm also looking to connect Asterisk to an SS7 signaled DS1 (24
channels) for inbound and outbound voice calls. Can anyone offer any
suggestions for cards to use there?

[OT]: Require suggestions - GSM Gateway <-> Asterisk
Hello,
I am looking for ideas and suggestions. I want to use a 16 port GSM gateway as a trunk for outbound/inbound. I will also have two PSTN phone lines coming into the Asterisk server. All calls will go to an IVR on the Asterisk PBX. Outbound from extensions will route to GSM-GW when the dialed number matches a pattern set in the GSM-GW trunk. And accordingly for the PSTN trunks. But that's

Need opinion about GSM codec for Internet
Dear all, I have implemented an Asterisk SIP server for a WAN VPN over
Internet. We have users distributed along all my country (Argentina) that
register to my Asterisk in order to talk among them.
I'll plan to have voice and voicemail with GSM codec, because we can't
afford the payment for the G.729 licenses (it's an administrative problem of
our company, not an echonomical problem).
