You'll also need zaptel and libpri. You can download these from the Asterisk site (http://www.asterisk.org), or as most people do - get the

ISDN phones & Asterisk, ASDI and then some
Hello all, New to the list, Asterisk and this wonderful world of convergence. From reading the docs, list and websites I hopefully correctly understand that I can use a plain cheap isdn4linux supported ISDN (passive) TA to hook up the PC to the ISDN line from the telco (FXO card?). Next in the PC I also need a FXS card like a Digium TDM10B or PhoneJack so I can hook up an analog phone to it. In

regarding the new tdm?0b cards (another newbie question)
hi everybody and thanks for replying to my previous posts! i have some questions about the new cards announced on digium's website: these cards are 1-4 fxs interfaces, meaning i can take 4 analog phone handsets w/standard rj11's and plug them in to dial via *, right? not until fxo is implemented (is it going to be? when?) can i plug analog phone lines in? if the ports are made fxo/fxs

Asterisk hardware configuration and cost?
Hi there, our old pbx contract will expire soon and we have now 2 pbx companies trying hard to sell us a new VoIP one. I am usually a friend of open source software and read about the Asterisk poject, but I can not assess if Asterisk fulfills all our requirements. It would be great to receive some input from experienced users to be able to convince our management. My question is if the

* fax reliability between ISDN PRI and FXS ports
Hi, I am building for a customer an * solution that will use 2 Digium cards. 1 x TE110P (T1 ISDN PRI) 1 x TDM40B (4 analog ports, 2 for faxes, 2 for extensions) The system will be connected to the PSTN through the T1 ISDN PRI interface. All customer extensions will be SIP phones except 2 fax machines that will use the analog FXS ports on the TDM40B card. I have been investigating on this

Eicon DIVA PCI ISDN cards (not server) work withasterisk!
Hello Marc, Could you post the install details for the Diva PCI? I have a Diva Pro PCI 3.0 and I am looking to get it working... I am running Debian Testing. So far it appears there are a few things floating around but I am not certain which direction to go. I know I need to load the firmware first. I did manage to load the modules ok. Thanks, Greg -----Original Message----- From:

ISDN and routers...
Hello! Sorry for not being able to phrase the problem in one line. My phone situation is this: The calls go over analog line (or NGN/vip) I don't really get to see it. I have got a router with a lot of jacks. One or two of them are for ISDN phones or other ISDN capable devices. Can I use chan_misdn and my good old ISDN card with this setup. Or do I have to get a card, that can handle

Information setting up asterisk with an ISDN NT
Hi Folks, First of all, I've been reading a lot and a lot about asterisk and ISDN-BRI, but is really a complicated world, not like PRI or Analog. I have 2 offices with 2 NT boxes and I want to connect them with Asterisk to route outgoing from one office two the other. At the end I want them to look like this Office2 will have only VoIP phones (not ISDN phones connected to a card in asterisk)

Hardware to connect analog and ISDN fax devices
Hi all, I've read a lot of problems with faxing over asterisk. Most of them referred to Fax over Internet, but I want to connect analog and ISDN fax devices to asterisk to send and receive faxes over PRI: +-----+ +----------+ +------------+ | | | |----| ISDN Fax | | PRI |-----| Asterisk | +------------+ | | | |----| Analog Fax | +-----+

Echo problems on ISDN. (mainly incoming calls)

Digium Hardware Question from Newbie
Hello folks, I'm very interested in the Digium/Asterisk combination but need some clarification. I would like to setup a SOHO for business and home use. Scenario One: I have one analog line, 4 analog telephones. Do I need a TDM400P + 4 FXS modules (Green) + X100P? Scenario Two: 2 analog lines, 1 selective ring number for fax, 8 analog phones. Is this what I need? 2 TDM400Ps and 8 FXS

Echo problems on ISDN. (mainly incoming call s)
what happens when you drop your gains? use /etc/asterisk/zaptel.conf and fiddle with tx and rx values. [Asterisk-Dev] Severe ISDN signal distortion in CVS-HEAD with octoBRI
BUG/SYMPTOMS: 1.Under certain circumstances, octoBRI (and most likely quadBRI) ISDN cards (Junghanns/CologneChip) severely distort certain ISDN payload. 2.Although these claims relate to the bristuff patch, the problem might not be limited to bristuff and in fact be rather asterisk/zaptel/libpri related. 3.Signal distortion is limited to the use of the CVS version of the Bristuff patch for

Which hardware for this solution?
Hello, we are a firm who wants to develop some VOIP solutions. The first infrastucture we choose for development is: - an Asterisk machine connected to a traditional PBX (s0). In this way people is not (yet) obligated to migrate its extisting PBX (and analog phones) to VoIP. - The PBX will be then configured to redirect specific outgoing calls (i.e. a remote branch office) to Asterisk, that

dtmf tone clamping in calls to external ivr
Hello, I'm having trouble working out how to send DTMF tones to an external IVR. My system has an analog phone connected to a TDM400P card, a SIP software phone (Zultys LIPZ4) and is connected to a BRI in Australia with a NETjet-S card. I'm using ISDN4Linux and a 2.4.25 kernel patched with the ISDN audio patch from Traverse (which allows the card to do voice). DTMF works fine between

ISDN, BRI, PRI, voice over IP, and more...
Hi, I am thinking of starting a project at Work to pilot to use of Astrisk and VOIP, and would like to tie in several projects together. Currently we are looking at purchasing an ISDN and H.323 based video conferencing system from Polycom. It suggests the use of 3-4 BRI lines (ie 6-8 B channels, but in the form of individual BRIs). We need ISDN for the video conferencing to communicate with
