Phantom (ghost) Calls with Wildcard TDM400P
We have a client that has a single Wildcard TDM400P with 3 FXO ports on Asterisk 1.0.7. Occasionally the system seems to loose its mind and starts originating calls from that Zap channels that don't exist. The receptionist picks up the phone and nobody is there. This can happen repeatedly over and over again within a few minutes. As far as we can tell these are definitely not real calls as

Interrupting voicemail with "*", dropping to "a" extension. Does it work?
I've played around with the lightly documented Asterisk voicemail feature whereby a caller can press "*" during the playback of the OGM and be returned to the "a" extension in the context of the voicemail box. No matter what, Asterisk does nothing when you press "*". It does not interrupt the OGM and it certainly does not return to the "a" context.

This is turning a bit into a hate-thread against Airtime. Personally, I am not much of a hater (although sometimes I make exceptions, depending on how my day is), but I will say that Airtime is a pain-to-maintain on your server. It's pretty bloated as well; correct me if I'm wrong (this dates back to when I tried it with version 1.5 and 1.6 and 2.0 was in the works) - Zend PHP framework

A new snapshot
Hi, I have released a new snapshot of GnuPG, I hope this is one of the last ones before 1.0.2 ;-) This is still a BETA VERSION and not intended for general use. ftp://ftp.gnupg.org/pub/gcrypt/devel/gnupg-1.0.1e.tar.gz (1600k) The usual diff file is also available, but this time there is only a detached signature for this diff file, because I noticed to late that the --not-dash-escaped option

Current bitrate equivalents for quality modes?
Hello, While tweaking the stream configuration interface in the Airtime broadcast automation tool (http://www.sourcefabric.org/en/airtime/) we noticed that Liquidsoap uses the zero to one scale for Vorbis quality, rather than the more familiar zero to ten scale used by oggenc. It seems I'm not the only person confused by this: http://ffmpeg.org/pipermail/ffmpeg-devel/2009-January/067964.html

dying network drive connections with Windows 2000 Pro/Samba 3.0.7
Hi I'm experiencing trouble with a Samba 3.0.7 installation and Windows 2000 Professional clients that lose their network drives after some time. The Samba server is acting as a Domain Controller for a single subnet with about 10 clients (W2k Pro with Service Pack 2-4). At some (random) time after the login the clients all have the same problem: the network drive mappings die (sometimes a

GPG 1.0.3 doesn't detect modifications to files with multiple signatures
Hi! Jim is right. There is a bug in all GnuPG versions up to 1.0.3: If you have more than one cleartext signature in a file (or pipe that to gpg), gpg does not compare each signature but flags each document as good or bad depending on the first document in the file. This is a very serious bug in gpg's verification function. I have made a snapshot version which corrects this bug available

Packages of icecast 2.4-beta?
Hi Thomas, > Do you have the infrastructure to stay current and rebuild e.g. on > dependency changes? Yes, we use pbuilder-dist for this. We are providing backports of related packages including liquidsoap, silan (a new silence detector application), and libopus0, as well as Airtime itself. > Actually I now wonder if using OBS could make this task easier. PRI/T1 data rate...
Hi all, First, this is not my first PRI/T1 Asterisk deployement. Did several with Bell, Telus, AllStream, Rogers but this is my first with Videotron. Just spoke with the person taking the order and on top of the standard settings (switch, coding,...) she asked me about data rate (56k or 64k). Since I have never been asked this question before and can find anything relevant in the

CentOS AutoDJ Problem
Hello, ?here are my personal suggestions on the matter. I will stick to the Icecast and streaming part of it, as other questions in your message regard the difference between Linux distributions in general (CentOS is one flavor of Linux, different from Ubuntu or Debian). Note that there are many other solutions available. 2014-03-03 15:07 GMT+01:00 Jo se <kulturu01 at gmail.com>: >
