Help with Cisco 7905G corrupted image!!
Hi,
I recently purchased from a friend 2 Cisco 7905G for testing them with
Asterisk.
I was able to upgrade one of them with the SIP image, the other hang up
during the upgrade process and now it won't boot again.
When powered up, the red and green lights keep on and the screen is blank.
Does any one know a procedure to fix this ? I do not have a contract with
Cisco, I have even call a

mini atx and asterisk (EPIA and the like)
Hi, haven't found anything in google's, i wonder if there is a
comparative page of what to expect from running * on motherboards like
the EPIA and similar ones.
Since i have not used *ever* such kind of mini atx form factor boards,
I have no clue about their performance.

Same output in NUT as from APC tools?
Hello,
Since I have now nearly all stuff running on my LH7A404 and now I am
working on my DS80C411, I like to know, whether NUT show the APC UPS
stats like the APC tools.
Currently I do not know, HOW NUT triber the USB-Poert to get out the
infos of the UPS. In theory I do send out only arround 5-60 lines of
data which then NUT or any other programs must parse or something

SV: Epia C3 Linux
Hello
AstLinux seems quite suited for my use.
Can you configure more incoming port via a web interface?
I'd like to install it to a "normal" hdd. Can that cause any problems?

Kind of OT: Question about power button
Hi,
Sorry to go off topic, but I'm not sure where exactly to ask.
I'm booting off the network via pxelinux (running on one of those VIA EPIA boards). Sometimes, the computer just *stalls* ... it doesn't respond to the keyboard, you can't telnet in, etc. I can't even reset or turn of the computer via the ATX buttons. I don't think I have any funny ACPI or power management

ISOLINUX fails at boot on Award BIOS v6.00PG
Hello,
I don't know if it's ISOLINUX or a broken BIOS,
this is the first time ever seeing this error.
"Extremely broken BIOS" on a EPIA -M10 BIOS Rev 2.07 (latest ver
available)
EDEN VIA mini-ITX mobo.
ISOLINUX on RH8 ver 1.75, RH9 ver 2.00 and Yarrow ver 2.06 all produce
the same type of error.
RH 7.3 and Lindows boot and build without any problem but I don't think

Weekend Puzzle: computer posing as an UPS
Follow-up:
* Powering the Raspberry Pi5 from an USB-C port wired on the motherboard
was much more promising, it survived over 8 hours building NUT in a loop
(in a tmpfs). And in the morning I found it turned off (red light on the
Pi).
* Per

That, or use a low current source such as the fan header to control a 5v switch feeding the pi from a different source. Same net result, and no excess loads on your mobo. (Might be able to work this into the case using a spare power supply connector to feed it . . .)
Still have not figured out why though, but that's not relevant to what you are trying to accomplish.

Epia C3 Linux
Anyone know a good distro for an Epia Mobo with the C3 chip?
I have been trying to get Debian and Gentoo installed (new to me) and so
far having little luck.
Does anyone know a good install for this processor/mobo combo?
Thanks

Weekend Puzzle: computer posing as an UPS
I guess I should scratch the idea about fan sockets as the power source:
they are rated typically at 0.2A each, so fan headers should be expected 1A
max (3A in some vendors/models), well under the 5A that the RPi5 wants.

recommends on CentOS + Via Epia CN10000EG
I'm considering building a network gateway using a Via EpiaCN10000EG
motherboard like seen here:
http://www.logicsupply.com/product_info.php/cPath/79/products_id/444
I've heard that this is a pretty recent mobo and drivers for it are in
Ubuntu but that a 2.6.9.x CentOS kernel might have troubles with it.
Anyone have any opinions on this mobo?
Thanks

Problems loading CentOS 4.4 on ASUS M2N-MX mobo
I have a brand new ASUS MB model M2N-MX which is giving me issues when
installing Centos 4.4 64 bit
I initially had problems with finding the SATA drives but I resolved that
issue by simply selecting the NVIDIA SATA (sata_nv)driver from the list of
drivers during the initial install.
The install seemed to go fine after that as the installer uses the Generic
VESA video driver during the install,

tftp problems with VIA EPIA-M board
I'm trying to boot linux on a VIA EPIA-M board (a Nehemiah-based
M10000), and I'm having some trouble with it. I'm watching the network
transactions with ethereal, and I'm seeing a failure at what appears
to be the tftp stage.
The M10000 picks up its IP address from the dhcp server (ISC
DHCP3), and reports it correctly on the screen. Then the tftp session
starts, and I get the

Prefered Method for UPS?
Hello,
since I had delayed the programming of the UPS Device part, now it is
time to continue...
My Device is "24 V DC modular ATX PSU" which replace the standard ATX
Power Supply in PCs and use 15-43 V Input Voltage. The microcontroller
is a TI LM3S5T36 Cortex M3 and I get the "UPS" infos using up to 4 Maxim
DS1780 and some I?C current sensors. The ATX PSU has 4

Finally cracked the mystery of motherboards with Vt-d support
After contacting Asus, MSI and Gigabyte, this is what I got back.
Only motherboards with the QXX chipsets and certified with the Intel
VPro support the Vt-d virtualization technology.
I''m not sure about MSI though, because this is what I got from their
support: "Almost board could support. Please refer to our website,
http://www.msi.com/product/mb/."
The problem is that
