Re: SpanDSP TXFax and multipage faxes problems (aditional info)
Thanks for the information Lee !
Still, something is still strange to me, since this two Panasonic Fax
machines are receiving at least 20 multi-paged faxes a day (they are in same
office as both Asterisk boxes, and me :) ). Beside that, POTS lines in those
two faxes
are from same PSTN switch as line in X100P in one of Asterisk boxes, and the
ISDN PRI lines in other Asterisk box is from same PSTN

Re: SpanDSP TXFax and multipage faxes problems
Hi !
Does anyone managed to send multipage faxes (in single TIFF file) with
app_txfax from spandsp package (i'm using 0.0.2pre18, libtiff 3.7.1)?
If so, I'm interested in format of TIFF file that has been sent sent
succesfully (tiffinfo <fax-filename>).
I'm having problems with app_txfax, sending first page successfuly 99 % of
the time, but never managed to send second or

spandsp txfax multi page problem
Dear All,
I'm having problem with spandsp/txfax,
I'm not able to send a multi paged tiff file,
the fax machine receives the first page of the document and
complains about communication problem.
The file what I'm trying to send has 2 pages and

Searched in the archives, but found no solution.

Max concurrent faxes with txfax/spandsp?
Hi,
I tried to use txfax to send several faxes at the
same time.
It seams, that one can't send more than 3 faxes at once,
or one risks to get 50% and more aborted faxes due to
errors.
The CPU usage is below 97%.
I tried with Opteron and IntelP4: same result.
Ok, I know, that faxing via a digital line is complicate,
and I shouldn't complain, but I would like to know, whether
these are

Installation on Mac Problem
I''m not exactly sure what the root of this problem is. I followed the
following tutuorial on installing Ruby on Rails on Mac OS X:
http://www.hivelogic.com/articles/2005/12/01/ruby_rails_lighttpd_mysql_tiger
Everything is working fine but when I navigate to :

serve with RoR I get the following errors in

txfax not working with spandsp
the attached log with verbose=6 and debug=6 refers.
we've got a sangoma A104 (no hwec) with PRI ports 1 & 3 loopbacked to each
other. we're trying to have txfax send out on one of those pri ports with
rxfax listening on the other side, hence having asterisk send a fax to
itself. we however have bad, and i mean really bad (<10%) success rates.

SoftFAX/spandsp - release 0.0.1i - txfax fin dings
Hi,
We have no problems sending to HP and Panasonic fax machines in the office.
We do have problems when we try to send faxes to services supporting
fax, i.e. J2 or our UC platform. The receiving side doesn't recognize fax.
To send a fax we drop into /var/spool/asterisk/outgoing:
Channel: Zap/g1/<fax number>
MaxRetries: 0
WaitTime: 20
Context: webley_txfax
Extension: txfax_ext

SoftFAX/spandsp - txfax
Hi Steve and all,
1. Faxing from asterisk back to the same asterisk (from one Zap channel to
another)
doesn't work for us. Txfax called with the 'caller' parameter issues
CED, while the
receiving side needs CNG in order to switch to fax extension with
rxfax.
2. This is probably the reason why J2 and our UC don't recognize incoming
fax.
Thank you.

SpanDSP/TxFAX FAX Status
Hi List,
I wonder that how I can check that FAX is delivered successfully or not,
in my dialplan while using TxFAX.
Which variable contain fax status? as PHASEESTATUS and PHASEESTRING in
Callweaver.

Softfax/spandsp Makefile.patch rxfax/txfax
I followed the instructions at http://www.opencall.org/instructions.html
and
http://lists.digium.com/pipermail/asterisk-users/2003-October/025094.html
I was able to compile spandsp (./configure ; make ; make install),
"manually" patched asterisk apps/Makefile (/usr/src/asterisk/apps), as the
supplied patch does not fit the actual CVS apps/Makefile
After make clean ; make install, I

TXFax/RXFax/AGX-Addons/SpanDSP Crashing
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1
Hi all,
anyone else seen RX/TXFax crashing Asterisk on latest Asterisk SVN?
I've now seen it on two machines I tried to set up - one it seems
because the tiff file was malformed, but the other is doing:
tiff -> tx fax -> zaptel -> pstn -> ddi -> zaptel -> rx fax -> tiff
The above crashes every time.

txfax spandsp
I've been using spandsp and rxfax to receive faxes for a while now and over
the past few days I've looked into the other side of things - txfax. I
can't seem to get it working properly. I've included debug logs below of
both the tx and rx side of things. I've tried three different servers,
asterisk v1.0.6, 1.0.9 and CVS, FC2 and FC4, libtiff 3.5.7 and 3.7.1, TE405P

Squished faxes with txfax
Hello,
I have been getting squished faxes very reliably when sending through Asterisk
using txfax. It looks as if all horizontal white space has been removed.
Interestingly it is perfectly repeatable, which seems to rule out timing
related issues.
My configuration is:
Asterisk SVN-branch-1.2-r7337M
spandsp-0.0.2pre21 ( though I have tried a 0.0.3 snapshot as well as
0.0.2pre25 )
libtiff

panel.abline() and trellis.focus() on multipage plots
Hi,
I'm recently working on a multipage bwplot() using the lattice package. In
this context I was trying to use the panel.abline() function individually on
certain panels but not all. After some research I found the trellis.focus()
and trellis.unfocus() functions which enabled me to do something like:
trellis.focus("panel", 1, 3)
do.call("panel.abline", list

Sweave and multipage lattice
Dear R-Listeners,
as the Sweave faq says:
http://www.ci.tuwien.ac.at/~leisch/Sweave/FAQ.html
creating several figures from one figure chunk does not work, and for
standard graphics, a workaround is given. Now I have a multipage trellis
plot with an a-priori unknown number of pages, and I don't see an elegant
way of dividing it up into multiple pdf-files.
I noted there is a "page"

Return code of txfax
Hi,
I have asterisk 1.0.7 and spandsp-0.0.2_pre18.
txfax return a non-zero return code only if the
fax file is not found.
Unfortunately I can't get any information, whether
the fax was transmitted completely or not.
Will an update to a newer version change this?
Thanks for telling me your experience!
Roger.

Problem with the function plot and multipage
Hello,
I want to print graphs after running a gam function (gam needs the package
mgcv)
I want to print the results of the function in a .jpg or in a .png. I would
like to print it in many files (because in one file the graphs is too small
and can't be read)
For the moment, I run this script :
mymodel<-gam(species~var...)
jpeg(file="my_file.jpeg")
plot(mymodel,pages=2)
dev.off()
