Broadvoice outage times?
Has anyone been watching and logging when broadvoice becomes unstable? Is it only peak hours, or is it random? If its somewhat consistant, I'd like to enforce some time of day routing in my dialplan. Otherwise I may just close the account altogether. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:

Last guy to get BV working outbound?
I have tried everything to get BV working outbound. All worked fine until the BV change last week. I called BV and they changed me to sip gen with a new password. I stripped my Asterisk server to one phone on Zap/1 until I get this working. The same BV account works fine with a SPA-3000 so I don't suspect a firewall problem. Symptoms: Asterisk registers with BV Ok Incoming calls work

Lost in AAH Setup
Hi folks. Thanks for having patience with a newbie... I am going through the setup exercise at http://chayden.net/Asterisk/SeUpAsteriskAtHome.htm I am trying to do it all on BroadVoice since this is just experimental, and the 100 minutes of outgoing from them should be enough for now. So I set up BroadVoice for both inbound and outbound, using a combination of the instructions referenced

Today, We have added INVITE Authentication. This seems to bring a large amount of problems to people in the way since they can't make outbound calls. Here's what needs to be done. You need to add three variables to your peers or friends, username, authuser, and secret. username=<phonenumber> authuser=<phonenumber> secret=<registration password> Dan

Every time I try to dial out, I get a 404 "Not Found" error. Here are the relevant sections from my configs. sip.conf: context=broadvoice-in register =>

Asterisk@Home, AMP, and Broadvoice
Egad, not again with Broadvoice! Anyhow, I recently installed AAH and configured my TDM11B and got that and some SIP phones working. I still have some issues to work out, etc, but my current problem is Broadvoice. I have checked out all of the online resources, including the recent list exchange about the recent changes made by Broadvoice. However, the one thing I have found to be consitent in

Workaround for BroadVoice and possibly others...
I have an idea, tell me if this wouldn't work... I know it's really ugly, but it might help some people until we can get round robin DNS checks for peers... Since * does not do GetHostByName() again until you reload your config, and BroadVoice and I'm sure other sip providers are using round robin DNS, why not create 2 [<your server here>-out] contexts in sip.conf, and then in
