Grandstream GXP-2000
FYI, spoke with Grandstream this morning, the GXP-2000 release has been delayed again. Looking like April now before these hit the street. -- Cory Andrews Senior Partner VOIPSupply.com +++++++++++++ V: 800.398.VOIP X22 F: 716.630.1548 E: Cory@VOIPSupply.com

GXP-21XX
Anyone used the new Grandstream GXP-21XX series phones. We have been testing these phones and like what we see. We are looking for a greater cross section of testing before we roll them to production. Any feed back would be appreciated. We are talking with Grandstream engineering and they are looking for feed back as well. Any input is appreciated. Thanks Bryant -------------- next part

GXP-2000 Volume Issue
Is anyone else having an issue with GXP-2000s and transmit gain? All my other phones are fine on my TDM400P with txgain set at 0, but the GXP-2000 caps at about a third of the scale in ztmonitor. I'm getting people complaining they can't hear me on my GXP-2000s, whereas my Snom 320 and Polycom 301 are great, and my Budgetones are overmodulating. Is there any conceivable fix on the

GXP-2000 Wiki update..
I've finally got a chance to play with 1.0.1.9, and the wiki has been updated. At the moment, I don't know of _any_ bugs with it. I'm yet to play with complex things like early dial, and will update the wiki as I find information. http://aussievoip.com.au/wiki-GXP-2000 I've just been given official permission to offer the firmware as a download, so if you visit

Problems if GXP-2000 phones and Asterisk are not on the same network
Hi, I have a lot of GXP-2000 phones not registering with Asterisk server. After two days of attempts, it seems that problem is due to the fact that phones and server are not on the sme network. Do you know if this is known issue? -- Domenico Viggiani

Factor to continuous
Hi I am really struggling with changing my factors into continuous variables. There is plenty of information on changing continuous to a factor which is the opposite of what i need to do. I would be soooooo grateful for any help Thanks Joe -- View this message in context: http://www.nabble.com/Factor-to-continuous-tp23020769p23020769.html Sent from the R help mailing list archive at

GXP-2000 and Shared Line Appearances
I have a client with 20 GXP-2000s. Everything seems to be working fine. However, after a couple of weeks of use, the client is having a hard time adjusting to the new IP based phone systems and only misses one feature from their old Lucent system. That is, they had 8 analog lines before and all their old Lucent phones showed a button for each line. So, it was easy for anyone to say,

GXP-2000
I'm using a few GXP-2000 with firmware 1.0.2.13 and everything seems to be working fine. However, there are a couple of issues I'd like to know if are possible: 1) Even though the phone has 4 line appearances, if I am speaking on a line, the phone can no longer receive phone calls. I can manually select another line and make calls, but when Asterisk tries to send a call to it, I

Grandstream GXP-2000 Poor sound Quality
I have upgraded the GXP-2000 to the newest firmware 1.0.1.12<http://1.0.1.12>and the phone is much more usable However, I still have two slight sound quality issues: 1) There is static on the line at all times. It is not that noticable to me, but when I make calls out the PSTN the person on the other end hears it. If I use a Cisco ATA with an analog phone and call the same person again

Provisioning GXP 2000
I've done some googling and searched voip-info but I'm not able to find a good answer about how to provision the GXP 2000. Based on questions I've asked before it seems like a lot of people are using the grandstream phones so I figure provisioning can't be that hard. Is everyone using the web interface for *every* phone? Or is there a better, more automatic, way? TIA!!! Thanks,

Feedback on Linksys SPA-921 and GrandStream GXP-2000
Hello I'm about to order a GrandStream GXP-2000 and a Linksys SPA-921 I'd like to have some user feedback about how those phones perform, and whether their LCD screen displays both the caller ID name and number (The GrandStream BT-100 only displays numbers, which isn't very helpful). Thank you.

How to do Automatic Daylight Saving on Grandstream GXP-2000
Hi, I'd set the daylight saving option to yes on all the GXP-2000 phones, but apparantly it doesn't move it an hour back on last sunday of October. So now I am stuck will all the phones showing the wrong time. Isn't there an option so that it'll automatically update daylight savings? GXP-2000 phones stop registering
I have about 30 GXP-2000 phones running 1.0.1.9 which have all been configured using the provisioning feature so the configuration is all identical. The problem I am having is that they randomly seem to stop registering with asterisk. When they stop registering they can still make calls but oviously asterisk cannot ring the phone so all incoming calls go to voicemail. Has anyone else had similar

Codec order sent wrong from Asterisk
I'm communicating a softphone (SJPhone) to a Grandstream phone GXP-2000. The codec order on each one is the next: SJPhone: GSM - iLBC - PCMA - PCMU GXP2000: G729 - GSM - PCMA - PCMU (I have a G729 license, so there's no problem with transcoding G729) In my sip.conf, I've defined the following codec order: disallow=all allow=g729 allow=gsm allow=g726 allow=alaw allow=ulaw And my

GXP-2000 1.1.0.13 Issues
I have had 2 GXP-2000 for a while now and been slowly following the firmware releases made by Grandstream and am now up to 1.1.0.13. This version works really well on these 2 original phones (MAC's 00:0B:82:06:xx:xx), so I went ahead and ordered another 2 phones (MAC's 00:0B:82:09:xx:xx). One of these I upgraded to 1.1.0.13 (it came with 1.1.0.5) and pressed it into use. The Speaker

Annoying Asterisk Realtime Limitation
Well, this is a major pain in the ass. I got realtime static working for sip.conf. 'Great!' I thought. That was until I realised I couldn't use it. Our Asterisk systems are using OSPF and listen on interface lo:1. Asterisk doesn't like to use an interface name for it's bindaddr setting, so you have to put the IP address of lo:1 in there. If you put in 0.0.0.0, it seems to

GXP-2000 fw 1.0.1.13 and NTP
Hi all Slightly OT but I know a lot of GS experts hang out here - I just upgraded a GXP-2000 to firmware 1.0.1.13 to try out the BLF functionality with Asterisk (which so far works as expected), but as a side-effect the phone won't sync with an NTP server - I've tried different server names (time.nist.gov and pool.ntp.org) and IPs in the config, but it refuses to update the time on
