Cisco 7960 & v7.4
I have recently upgraded my firmware from v6.3 to v7.4. Now when the phone is booted or rebooted, the initial screen "Initializing Vlan" takes forever to initialize before it initializes IP. Any ideas/Thoughts? (Trying not to Revert back to v6.3). -C -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:

Cisco ATA 186 with *70
Has anyone come across the Cisco ata 186 not passing *70? When I press *70, the ata just goes back to a dial tone. The strange thing is, its only *70 and not the reset of the 70's. *71, *72, etc all go through fine. I've tried removing the the dialplan all together from the ata to try and let it pass, but no go??? If I setup an IP phone to its extension, *70 goes through fine, so i know

Cisco ATA 186 and Asterisk
Anyone have call waiting working on the ATA-186 connected to Asterisk? Other VoIP phones seem to work, but I can not get the ATAs to allow call waiting. Christopher M Iarocci Network Admin JD Posillico 631-249-1872 X244

making * more like a normal pbx (cisco ata-186)
I've done something similar at home, but made my dialplan such that I can dial either 10 or 11 digits locally. I don't use a "throw away" digit at all. Any 7, 10, or 11 digit call will be appropriately mangled and sent out the PSTN / VoIP provider. ________________________________ From: asterisk-users-admin@lists.digium.com [mailto:asterisk-users-admin@lists.digium.com] On

Cisco ATA-188 w/502 Error on CallWaiting
I have a Cisco ATA-188 with two POTS phones and latest stable cvs. In any situations with call waiting (existing connection and calling again) the second call cause both calls to drop. This is the same for "internal" extensions and from external (ZAP and SIP). It seems to be a "502 - The transaction could not be executed, because the endpoint does not have sufficient

Cisco ATA and a PayPhone
I have an interesting problem. I am attempting to install a payphone utilizing a Cisco ATA-188. The payphone actually works, but there are some timing issues. What happens is you pick up the payphone and the ATA grabs a line and goes offhook. While you monkey with putting money in and dialing the number, you are eating up the time before you get the offhook reorder tones (or howler tones

Cisco ATA 186 / FXO card problem
Hello, I've got a Cisco ATA 186 from Vonage plugged into my Asterisk box with a X100P card. This works great for the most part, but I'm having a disconnect supervision problem. I suspect the Cisco device doesn't provide any sort of analog disconnect supervision when it gets a SIP BYE message indicating the far-end has hung up. This causes Asterisk to leave the channel up

Working: TFTPd for NAT'd Cisco 7960 and ATA-186
For anyone who is interested, I have a working tftpd (modified wvtftpd) capable of serving configuration, dialplans, and ringtones to Cisco 7960/7940 and ATA-186 devices that are located behind NAT firewalls. As TFTP is not a very firewall/NAT friendly protocol, I had to break some rules to get it to work with these cisco devices. It might cause problems for other TFTP clients, but it works with

sip ata's
Hello. I have a linux and two sip-ata's, a sipura 2002 and a GS ht-386. I also have three sipphone numbers. I can connect the atas to the sipphone accounts and I get a dial tone and I can call my house and it says, "Thank you for using SipPhone..." Using asterisk, I have the ata's registering to my computer and I register two sipphone numbers with my computer. When I

MWI on Cisco ATA-186 (SIP)
I am trying to set up the Message Waiting Indicator (stutter tone/light) so that my cisco ata-186 will let my phones know there is a message waiting. However this does not seem to be very well documented. I found this on wiki mailboxnumber@context ... where does that go? Do I put it in my SIP.conf definition for my cisco ata, or where. In my SIP cisco definition i already have a

ATA 186 Codec Question.
I have seen the list of codecs for the ATA 186's but not sure if it was 100% or not. I want to know really is it possible to run GSM or ilbc on them or is a G729 lic the only way to get a low bandwidth codec? This is the list of codecs that I have seen. Cisco ATA 187 configuration file
Hi all, I have sincerely spent the last 2 hours googling for ATA<MAC>.cnf.xml file for a Cisco ATA 187 and I am not going anywhere. Either no one is using this thing out there or it has worked very well for them. Would there be someone of this list using the TFTP managed Cisco ATA 187 with Asterisk? I would be very grateful if you can share a copy of the file with all the confidential

Registering, calling and 'blind transfer' work fine. Is this feature provided by sip clients or by asterisk itself ? What I have to configure in ATA and what keys I have to press on my phones ? cisco ata-186 behind NAT
i have been trying to get a newly liberated (from vonage) cisco ata-186 (sip ios v3.1) working properly with asterisk. my client is behind a linksys wrt-54g, which up to this point hasn't proven to be a problem (i have several sipura spa-2000's and polycom phones working just fine behind them). (i'm running cvs-head from yesterday). after looking at the various suggestions,
