Yup. If you do that, the only time they hear it is during the initial setup
call (if you have "forcename=yes" or

Voicemail => SMS
Hi
I have been trying for a while to find a way to get an SMS send when I
receive a voicemail into my asterisk system. I don't want to send an
SMS if the caller doesn't leave a message. I have voicemail.conf set
up to email and delete.
302 => 302,Website Sales,sip@example.com,,attach=yes|delete=yes
However I can't seem to find a way to test is a message is left. I

FW: FAQ missing info? Asterisk@home V 0.4
Just installed V 0.4 of asterisk@home
Programmed up 3 sip budgetone extensions, they call call each other
fine.
Tried to dial '9' for an outside line through an X100P to a packet8 ATA
but got 'all circuits are busy now'.
Here is the console output.
== Spawn extension (from-internal, h, 1) exited non-zero on

*@Home .6 adding a outside number to a group{Scanned}
Actually, I love my install of AAH 0.6.
When something is not available in AMP I just dive into the configs and
correct it.
Most of the little things ARE available in AMP though so those times are
few...

Web based Asterisk management tool
Hi there
I am new to Asterisk and am looking for a web based management tool, for
managers to manage hunt groups, extensions etc and for user to have access
to there own phone features. I have seen there are a number of commercial
tools available for this, but I presume there are some freeware options too
I noticed one that I like at http://www.thirdlane.com/screenshots.htm but I
am assuming

Asterisk@home .05 release questions on setup.
Hello,
Great job on the Asterisk@home project. Looks great this new version is really nicer looking. But I have a few questions.
1) For the new web access http://localIP/maint how and where do I change the password.
2) Since I don't use the Amp section for setup the .conf files I use my own. How do I get the asterisk server running status up. I have it running and works but shows up as not

Am I missing something really basic here?????helpwith Asterisk@home {Scanned}
Ok, I thought the point of asterisk@home was that it automatically
detected the X100P board and configured it correctly.
Is this incorrect? You still need to modify /etc/zaptel files? And not
just using the AMP configurator.
There is no mention of this on the Asterisk@home webpage.
Can anyone who has actually used ast6erisk@home confirm this one way or
the other?
Thanks,
Dean

Asterisk@home festival weather report
This script was developed by Mark Johnson.
All I did (Dean Collins) was type up the instructions and make it easy to understand.
This Script will allow you to dial and extension number on your Asterisk@home V0.6 or later pabx and have it read you the weather for your city
How it does this is;
1/ When you dial your extension it causes the weather.agi script to run
2/ This makes the program

fax soft client
I emailed this before but never got a reply, maybe there have been some
new technical developments.
I understand that the AMP/A@H now allows faxes to be received via a
software solution but I'm interested, is there a way to send faxes using
software? Maybe something like a SIP or IAX software client that can be
run on a XP pc to initiate the call to an asterisk server?
Cheers,
Dean

Roll back from CVS Head to v1.09
Hi Folks,
OK, I'm running CVS Head as of about 3 weeks ago. I want to roll back
to V1.09. Other than downloading the code, how do I do it? I thought
someone once said that I have to delete all my modules or something?
Thanks
Mark

FW: Asterisk@home - requesting help on oh323, ISDN BRI and iConnectHere DID
I know almost nothing linux, and don't really know that much about Asterisk
(proper).. but I was 'pulled' by this subject and grabbed an
<mailto:Asterisk@home> Asterisk@home installation CD (version 1.3) and just
went with it. Newbie doesn't quite describe it, I'm a banker.. this simply
goes to show how easy Asterisk is becoming (I certainly hope this direction

Asterisk@Home
I have started to receive a lot of positive response
for the Asterisk@Home project. For those of you
unfamiliar with this project the goal of Asterisk@Home
is to make a full featured version of Asterisk very
easy to install.
We have created a 1 step .iso that installs RHEL
(RedHat Enterprise Linux) and Asterisk. It includes a
web GUI that allows easy editing of the Asterisk
Config files.

US pstn => voip
Hi
I believe this is due to the way US phone systems work, however I'm going to
ask anyway. In the UK there are several providers who provide national rate
PSTN => Voip gateways which are free to receive calls on, (for the
recipient), the caller pays the cost of calling. E.g 0844 0870 etc.
I am looking for a US provier who offers the same sort of system. I don't
call the US but I

Re: Two companies - One Asterisk
Because you learn how asterisk works by looking at the AMP dial plan
fast.
With phpconfig you have the ability to view each of the aspects and
learn a lot faster than reading the wiki.
It also gives you an understanding on how a professional dial plan
should be laid out.
If he doesn't even understand how to do grouping he obviously hasn't
even read the most basic sections of the wiki.
