Gents, I've built an Asterisk system to replace our PBX at work and have Cisco 7960 phones (SIP 7.4) running with Asterisk 1.0.7. How to I get Asterisk to recognise the '#' being pressed during a call? In sip.conf I have entries likle this: [2001] type=friend context=local-phone auth=md5 username=2001 secret=xyzzy callerid=Jack Tubby <2001>

FW: Cisco 7960 (SIP) hold problems
ala cisco 7960 -----Original Message----- From: Matt Schulte Sent: Thursday, December 16, 2004 10:34 AM To: 'Paul A Brown' Subject: RE: [Asterisk-Users] Cisco 7960 (SIP) hold problems Sure thing, the biggest problem I had was getting the SIP filenames working correctly for updating the firmware (blah, I love Cisco but these phones are a joke for support). This works for me! Good luck.

Cisco 7960G w/ SIP not working properly
I have Asterisk version 1.0-RC1 running on Debian Woody. I have 1 analog phone working, 2 inbound lines working, X-Lite is working. The problem that I am having is with Cisco 7960 with SIP version 7.2 software. I can make outbound calls and they work fine, I even get a notice that I have voice mail on the phone and it seems to register properly but I can seem to dial to the phone.

Cisco 7940/7960 and voicemailmain not able to press keys after a hold.
I have noticed a problem with the Cisco 7940/7960 phones where if you put your voice-mail box on hold using soft keys and come back you can no longer navigate. I am curious if anyone else can duplicate this problem. Happens reliably for me with the 7940 phones. I use rfc2833 for DTMF. I would think it was a Cisco bug, but for the fact that this did not happen with older version of

sipdtmfmode problem
Greetings. I'm having a bit of a problem using the sipdtmfmode app. I have two incoming paths to * from pstn via FWD that use differing dtmfmode. IPKall wants rfc2833, libretel wants inband. If I set dtmfmode= in the fwd peer config in sip.conf each works seperately, and I'm trying to use gotoif and sipdtmfmode to switch based on the CID calling. Output seems to indicate sipdtmfmode

BOOM! Crash when trying to use SIPDtmfMode on an outgoing call!
All, Here's a cool one.. I was attempting to call a retarded conferencing service, and was having problems with it picking up my DTMF.. after trying all the settings my Sipura SPA2000 offers, I found inband actually works.. unfortunately, I can't get anything else to pick up my inband DTMF (including asterisk's builtin voicemail! It just times out and says I never entered a login!).

Multiple DTMF digits on 7960
Hello all. We have an asterisk system set up, and we are seeing a lot of multiple DTMF digits being read by asterisk. In digging through the archives the only answer I have seen is to put in the statement relaxdtmf=yes in the zapata.conf file. Since we are not using any zapata devices, I have tried to put that statement in my sip.conf file to no avail. Any help would be appreciated as my end

Howto Setup TFTP server on Linux for Cisco 7 960
Thanks But how about the config files (SIP...) that needs to be inside the tftp server, where can I get a sample of that? That's where the images for the firmwares of the ip phones come from, on boot right? -----Original Message----- From: asterisk-users-bounces@lists.digium.com [mailto:asterisk-users-bounces@lists.digium.com] On Behalf Of Alen Salamun Sent: Wednesday, January 26, 2005 5:47

Caller ID info ZAP --> SIP??
Hi everyone, I've been toying with * for quite some time now. I've got two Cisco 7940's with the SIP firmware playing nice with *. I can also make outbound calls via IAXTel (toll-free calls only) and all other calls I have routed out my X100P-clone adapter. Here's my question... Is there a way to capture the inbound callerid from my phone line (coming in on the X100P) and have

flash zap FXO port from SIP device (SPA-2002) using RFC2833 or SIP INFO
Sorry if this was posted yesterday, I was having issues with being auto-unsubscribed because of my spam filter. Not sure if my post made it through. Hi everyone, I'm wondering if I'm missing something obvious here, or if Asterisk just doesn't support what I'm trying to do. It seems like it should be simple, but appearances can be deceiving. I've got an Asterisk box

Configuring Asterisk to allow any payload type in SDP
Hello, Is there a way to configure Asterisk so that it doesn't care about the playload type in SDP ? I'm trying to send custom data which has assigned a dynamic PT through RTP so I only need Asterisk to act as a proxy/forwarder but I'm getting "488 Not acceptable here" responses and in console "No compatible codecs, not accepting this offer" Best regards, Nicolae

Can't find a way to control the dtmf mode on a per session basis with pjsip, used to use SIPDtmfMode from the dialplan with chan_sip. Any hints on how to do this?

Opus and sender and receiver sample rate drift.
Hi All. I have an application where the sample rate of the sender and receiver can vary by a small margin and the latency needs to be maintained within bounds and can't drift significantly and the system has to be able to cope with clock mismatches up to 0.5%. For example, the sender may have a clock rate of 48.1kHz and the receiver may have a clock rate of 47.9kHz. Unfortunately the clock

SIP dtmf=rfc2833 not working
We are testing some DTMF-driven applications over VOIP (legacy systems which use fast pulses of standard DTMF tones). The applications work fine when Digium IAXy's are used - no loss or garbling of DTMF tones. However, when we use SIP modems (such as Sipura 1000's), the DTMF tones are frequently uninterpretable and our applications have to ask for retries. I am under the impression that

TFTP problems on FC4
Greetings to all. I am hoping someone can help me out with a problem I am having getting my Cisco phones, 7960s and 7940s, to download the appropriate files from our TFTP server. The TFTP server is running on Fedora Core 4. The TFTP server appears to be setup properly: service tftp { socket_type = dgram protocol = udp wait =
