I have been working with this for a wile and I have been watching the list for about a month on this subject, to no avail. I am wondering if anyone has successfully configured asterisk for clients to connect to it when the clients are behind nat. I mean successfully because I can do everything except for audio, my audio is only one way. I am asking so I can determin if I will be continuing

My UPS has arrived, time to start working on documentation
Arnaud, my UPS arrived yesterday; thanks for your generosity. I'm using it to power the computer I'm typing on. This moves NUT up a few places on my priority list. In our last email exchange, I believe we agreed on a couple of major points. I want to confirm these before I start modifying the documentation heavily. 1. asciidoc is a good master format for the in-tree documentation. 2.

Important: The Asterisk Bug Tracker
Okay fellow Asterisk users... Listen up (or perhaps more appropriately, "read down"). The Asterisk community is growing at a remarkable pace. I know there are thousands of you out there -- in fact there are over eight *thousand* subscribers to asterisk-users alone, and almost one *thousand* registered users on the bug tracker. The #asterisk IRC channel is consistently in the top 10

IAX NOTICE and WARNING messages
Hello, Hope everyone is enjoying their holiday! We setup two asterisk servers (From CVS on Wednesday) and set up IAX between the two. Right now they both reside on a switch with a static 192.168.0.x IP address. The first Server is .5 and the second is .30. Our dialplan seems to be working, however on the console we get a flurry of NOTICE and WARNING messages. NOTICE[1116941120]: File

Proposal for Chain-Loadable LDLINUX.SYS
A proposal for changing the LDLINUX.SYS layout and flow: The current situation ("old style"): ldlinux.bin's physical layout: - VBR - 512 bytes of padding (never lands in memory) - ldlinux.sys, which is: - Sect1 code (494 bytes, leaving enough room for at least one extent, as planned) - Extent pointer patch space (1920 bytes) - The rest of the code

2.6 kernel ipsec and shorewall
I set up an ipsec/racoon vpn tunnel test environment. The gateway machines are 192.168.0.30 and 192.168.0.31 on the external adaptor and 10.0.1.1 and 10.0.2.1 internally. The test workstations are 10.0.1.10 and 10.0.2.10. The tunnel seems to be working as in 10.0.1.10 can talk to 10.0.2.10 an vice versa and they can both use the net via NAT, however 192.168.0.30 and 192.168.0.31 cannot directly

Htb, imq and sfq traffic shaping
Hello, I wrote a simple traffic shaping script (below) that should have allowed me to shape my internet traffic a bit (ppp0 - adsl 128kbit/64kbit; local interface eth0). The script works only partially - the speed is being limited but too much. Without running this script my download rate is about 10kBytes (with second computer also downloading at about 6kBytes). After running it my download speed

Issue with Samba 3.0.28a and Active Directory
Hi all, 1. We are using Linux kernel 2.6.20.11 64-bit and Samba 3.0.28a 2. We are trying to connect from this linux machine to a Windows ADS running on a separate Windows 2003 system (WINADS machine). 3. Though we are able to retrieve the name of the WINADS machine from linux (We see the name of the machine in samba log file), we are unable to access any of the users in the WINADS

local repositories
I need a clarification to the documentation. My manager added a 6.2 repo; however, when I try doing pxeboot installs, it fails, asserting that it can't find the group info. Another admin I work with thinks it's not really what it's failing in, and notes that it 404's on images/updates.img and images/product.img. We *think* that's irrelevant and ok. What is not clear to me is

Now if I type: 'telnet 192.168.0.30 25' on the same host the connection is refused. It also refuses connections from another host. I have edited the

SIP OPTIONS dialog not understood
I'm (still) trying to get my Asterisk box talking to a Metaswitch. All I'm getting is a "heartbeat" of OPTIONS messages coming from the Metaswitch which my Asterisk box replies to. The exchange looks like: <-- SIP read from 172.b.c.d:5060: OPTIONS sip:metaswitch@206.b.c.d:5060;transport=udp SIP/2.0 Via: SIP/2.0/UDP
