speex 1.1.7 crashes asterisk 1.0.6
Hello, I've installed speex 1.1.7 and asterisk 1.0.6 from Gentoo's Portage and I'm experiencing asterisk crashes whenever I try to make a connection from my X-Lite client under wine to asterisk using the speex codec. I know speex is being attempted because SPX lights up on the X-Lite display. Also, I know that speex is causing the crash because X-Lite works fine if I use GSM, ILBC,

apps api?
Hello, Is there a published apps API? Or do I need to just start reading source code? -- Jesse Guardiani, Systems Administrator WingNET Internet Services, P.O. Box 2605 // Cleveland, TN 37320-2605 423-559-LINK (v) 423-559-5145 (f) http://www.wingnet.net

gsm player for Linux?
Hello, Does anyone know of an audio player for Linux that will play asterisk's GSM files? I know I can convert them using sox, but I'm hoping to play them natively so I can test out some voicemail settings. Thanks! -- Jesse Guardiani, Systems Administrator WingNET Internet Services, P.O. X100P interrupt load
Hello, Can anyone tell me what the "normal" number of interrupts per second is for an X100P card? I've used FreeBSD 5.3 and a linux 2.6.11 kernel on the exact same hardware (only the disk changed) and `systat -vmstat 1` on FreeBSD and `procinfo -dS -n1` under Linux. For both, I'm seeing roughly 1000 interrupts per second on my X100p card. It was a bit worse under FreeBSD, and I

X100P voicemail volume too low (quiet)
Hello, I'm running Asterisk 1.0.6 with zaptel 1.0.6 on Gentoo Linux with a 2.6.11-gentoo-r2 SMP kernel (but no SMP hardware) and mpg123 0.59s-r9. When I leave a voicemail message via my X100P, the message is way too quiet. I can barely hear it. I googled this a bit, and I saw similar complaints with older versions, but no resolutions. Also, many complained that it was only too quiet via

IAX NOTICE and WARNING messages
Hello, Hope everyone is enjoying their holiday! We setup two asterisk servers (From CVS on Wednesday) and set up IAX between the two. Right now they both reside on a switch with a static 192.168.0.x IP address. The first Server is .5 and the second is .30. Our dialplan seems to be working, however on the console we get a flurry of NOTICE and WARNING messages. NOTICE[1116941120]: File

Howdy list, Sorry if this is a frequently discussed topic, or an off-topic question, but I couldn't find much info about my question by performing quick searches in the archives, and my question is pretty tightly related to security... Background: =========== I have a number of FreeBSD machines. Most are 4.x, but a few are 5.x (mainly the testing/devel machines). I also have a single Red

IAX2 weirdness and rejected calls: Invalid BYTE
All, I run a bunch of (well 20+ actually) Asterisk boxes at home, work, friends and the lie with our own dialplan in the form 8EEXXXX where 'EE' is the exchange number and 'XXXX' is the extension number. This arrangement has been in for 2+ years and worked well with a central box (asterisk.thorcom.net) acting as the routing hub and SIP exchange point with various public

signedness
Hi, I need another clarification regarding the standard. In floor0 header decode (setup), the point no.7 says that if any of [floor0_order], [floor0_rate], [floor0_bark_map_size], floor0_amplitude_bits], [floor0_amplitude_offset] or [floor0_number_of_books] are less than zero, the stream is not decodable But as we see, all those values are read as unsigned integers. Now I'm not able to

Where to get IAXY firmware and documentation
Hi! Could someone please tell me where in the CVS tree the IAXY firmware is and the utility used to install/flash the IAXY? Or a perhaps cvs command that shows me which directories are available in the CVS? I did 'man cvs' but can't find such a command or flag. Also is there any documentation for the IAXY in the CVS tree or anywhere or C comments I can read somewhere to glean some

new install of Xen 4.6 hangs on Loading initial ramdisk
First post to this list. I would appreciate some help on this issue. As background, I installed CentOS 7 on a Dell server, and then ran the following commands: yum update http://buildlogs.centos.org/centos/7/virt/x86_64/xen/centos-release-xen-7-11.el7.x86_64.rpm yum --enablerepo=centos-virt-xen-testing update yum --enablerepo=centos-virt-xen-testing install xen Doing that, I was able to

Vorbis spec bugs
Hi there ! I'm kinda "yet another guy who tries to implement a vorbis decoder from scratch only by using the vorbis spec". (pure Java, OO-style) (I downloaded the long-awaited-all-in-one-PDF) The data structures are quite ready, I can successfully load the codec setup packet and all its components it's containing. <p><p>So far so good.... Error in floor0 decode specification
Hello, It seems there is an error in the algorithm for floor0 decode in section 6.2.2 of the Vorbis specification. Here's the relevant part: 3 3) [coefficients] is an empty, zero length vector 4 4) [booknumber] = read an unsigned integer of ilog( [floor0_number_of_books] ) bits 5 5) if ( [booknumber] is greater than the highest number decode codebook ) then

mapping mux vector question
Hello everybody According to "vorbis-spec-ref.html" paragraph: "mappings", the vector [vorbis_mapping_mux] should contain the following: 4. if [vorbis_mapping_submaps] is greater than one, we read channel multiplex settings. For each [j] of [audio_channels] channels: 1. vector [vorbis_mapping_mux] element [j] = read 4 bits as unsigned integer 2. if the value

autoconf problem fixex, now other probs...
Hi there. I mentioned in my before postings that I had compile errors because of some automake incompatiblity. Now after installing redhat 8 these are fixed, and the ogg directory compiled fine, but vorbis gave me an error while it wanted to make a pdf file. (!! Why the hell would a make want to create a pdf?!?) These are some parts of the error log as the whole is too long: ... cp

Xapian-Haystack is available in Python 3
Hi, I'm the current developer of Xapian-Haystack, and I'm glad to announce that we've been finally able to install and pass all the tests of Xapian-Haystack with Xapian 1.3.3 in both Python 2 and 3, which means that Xapian-Haystack now supports Python 3. This naturally would not be possible without your efforts to push Xapian bindings to Python 3, and I thank you for that. Here I
