HELP: Dose G.729 with IPP only worked on Intel CPU?
Hi, ALL:
I install IPP(l_ipp_ia32_itanium_p_4_1_2.tar) and download the speech codeing
(l_ipp-sample-speech-coding_p_4.1.008.tgz) then patch it (g729-041103.diff).
My CPU is Centaur VIA Nehemiah with 998.715 MHz processor not INTEL CPU.
I choose PIII as its CPU type when I modify Makefile under "G729-float".
# For PIII
OPTIMIZE= -O6 -mcpu=pentium3 -march=pentium3 -ffast-math

Hallo!
Sorry for posting this two times - I forgot the subject!!
I am running samba 3.01012 on a fc2 server. I have problems with samba/ cups

OT - Intel IPP 5.3
Hello,
For education purpose, I would like to add G729 support to an Asterisk
1.4.19.1 system.
I've read this :
http://www.readytechnology.co.uk/open/ipp-codecs-g729-g723.1/
but when downloading Intel IPP software, it appears that latest IPP version
is 5.3.
As installation instructions here (
http://www.readytechnology.co.uk/open/ipp-codecs-g729-g723.1/doc-svn8.txt)
relates to Intel IPP

Samba vs IPP printing
Not including cases of unsupported clients for IPP printing (such as
Windows NT) are there any reasons/caveats for installations running CUPS
to not move over to IPP printing?
Are there any features or benefits to Windows/Samba printing for Windows
clients that make it superior compared to IPP?

R-beta: extreme value dose-response fit
Here are my dose-response data:
contrast<-c(0,.1,.04,.02,.03)
yes<-c(0+3+2+6+0+4+0+8,49+45,42+37,12+3,40+27)

Contrast is the physical variable (dose) being varied.
I can fit these data by MLE to a normal or logistic CDF no problem. I
have done it both with nlm and glm.
But I run into problems when I try to fit them with an

WINE game compatability and "DOSe"?
After using a dual-boot system for a while (Win98 + Mandrake) on my home
machine, I've decided to go for Linux only on my new (well, used)
notebook (Latitude PII 266 w/ 128 MB RAM). In any case, I don't really
use any Windows programs except a few games (well, I use office tools
and programming environments, but there are plenty of good ones in Linux
as is), so I'm looking into using
