Valet Parking and SuperValet Parking - back level
It seems Valet Parking and Super Valet Parking won't compile with CVS after 3/4/2005. Apparently some major reworks to Asterisk has broken the out-of-tree modules. Ref: http://bugs.digium.com/view.php?id=3573
The standard Parking lacks functionality and doesn't support contexts. Yet the more current CVS supports several much needed features like Chan Spy and native MOH as well as

State of the application chan_spy
Hi all,
I read on serveral pages that chan_spy is not part of asterisk anymore
as on http://www.voip-info.org/wiki-Asterisk+cmd+ChanSpy on the bottom
of this page.
I have a testing server with debian-testing and debian packages for
asterisk installed. In the modules directory /usr/lib/asterisk/modules
is a app_chanspy.so already there. The currently installed version is
1.4.13.
So, it is

Only silence trying to play streaming MOH
I am having trouble getting streaming MOH to work. As far as I can tell I have everything configured properly but there is only silence. Your help is appreciated. I am running Asterisk 1.8.11-cert10 with mpg123 1.12.1 to play the stream (I have tried
madplay, and mpg321, and I compiled streamplayer as well with the same results). I started by finding a working stream and tested this from the shell

Asterisk MOH playing old audio for first 30 to 60 seconds
Calling all members of the asterisk community,
I am posting about an old issue that has been reported many places and
times online, To my amazement, there has yet to be anyone that has
reported any solutions to the following problem.
"Initially when putting callers on hold, it plays between 30 and 60
seconds of old audio that was on the stream in the past. Then after
that 30-60 seconds, it

Asterisk and MOH for Queues
Ever since I migrated to 1.2.X, I've noticed a problem with the MOH
for any/all my queues.
When there is only one caller in the queue, the caller does NOT hear
the MOH. However, the moment more callers call into the queue, all
the OTHER callers will start hearing the MOH, but the first one will
still not be able to hear anything.
Additionally, say there are 3 callers on queue. The

moh mp3 streaming problem
asterisk v1.0.3, mpg123 v59r, shoutcast server.
When first starting asterisk all is fine, moh/mpg
processes start, can see asterisk client connections on shoutcast
monitor as well and I've got mp3 streamed music on hold, cool!
After aprx. 32-105 seconds the asterisk client connections close on the
shoutcast server. The moh/mpg processes are still running, but are now
just looping a

Asterisk / Trixbox 2.6 Streaming MOH Problems
I've tried a number of solutions, but I've been unable to get Asterisk
working with streaming MOH without running into the "buffer" issue.
I've tried using various combinations madplay, mpg123, mpg321. I've
also tried streamplayer by itself, and in combination with play-fifo (
http://www.freeswitch.org/asterisk_stuff/play-fifo.c ) to try and
eliminate the issue.

can't CLI> STOP NOW by zombie MOH
I am using CVS-v1-0-04/20/05-12:31:26. Windows Messenger5.1 works MOH
fine. After I stop MOH on Windows Messenger, if the hungup signal could
not send to *, the sip channel(e.g.,SIP/52001-08ca) for this MOH remains.
Then the user trys again MOH, a new sip channel starts. And again
the hugup signal can not send to *,.........
When I 'stop now' from CLI> , * cleanups the remaining sip

Asterisk high load when streaming MOH
Hi list,
I've always about 50 concurrent SIP callers listening to several MOH
streams (fed via mpg123) on Asterisk 11.4.0, 4x 2.2 GHz and the CPU
usage is always at about 250% causing stuttering of the streams and
delays when using Read() and Playback() (overall everything is just
really slow/delayed). I've seen Asterisk doing that when the MOH stream
that was fed via mpg123 was

Runaway MOH/mp3123 process?
Has anyone noticed a problem with runaway mpg123 processes for
music-on-hold eating up ~100% CPU and driving the load on the
machine way up?
I've seen this problem consistently with multiple Asterisk
installs, 1.2.x and 1.4.x, although admittedly it was more
common with 1.2.x as far as I can tell.
There is no clearly identifiable sequence of events that causes
this to occur, although it

Limit MOH processes
You could try to use the native mp3 support for MOH if you really want
mp3 support. It is a lot better than using mpg123 IMHO. mpg123 kept
doing nasty things to my system :)
See
http://www.voip-info.org/tiki-index.php?page=Asterisk%20config%20musicon
hold.conf there is a section about the native support.

MP3 streams for MOH: idea
[thread change, different topic]
>is there a clean way to have MOH (Music on Hold) source
>its audio from say a MS-ASF streem ???
>
>got a radio station that wants to have their MOH come
>from their ASF based netbroadcast
I have run out of time for fooling around today, but I started to
think about this one but have no time (or ability) to build this
little glue program.

MoH: mpg123 problems
Hey all,
I have read on voip-info.org that to configure MoH asterisk requires the
use of mpg123. I have installed mpg123 and restarted asterisk. But,
when i put a call on hold i get this error:
May 25 14:13:03 WARNING[1872]: res_musiconhold.c:865

Can you help,
Thanks

newbie question: MOH problem
Just the sort of newbie question we all hate ;-)
I'm a bit stuck with MOH. I think all is done right and I've read
everyhing I can find, but whenever * tries to do MOH, all that happens
is
'-z: No such file or directory'
Yes, I am on redHat. Yes I have installed real mpg123. Yes, it does
seem to work from the command line.
Any suggestions would be greta, I'm sire

MOH clicks
Guys.. Ive noticed that I have 2 mpg123 processes running, is that ok?
also... can you make MOH random?
Also, I dont know if there is a problem with my config but when listening to
MOH, every 3 or so second I get a click sound which notices because music
gets a hickup every 3 or so seconds... is this ok?

Windows Media streaming for MOH?
Anyone have Windows Media streaming for MOH working? I followed the various
procedures on the Asterisk Wiki for using mplayer which seems to be the only
Linux player capable of playing windows media streaming audio (asf, wmv
etc.). Anyone get this working?
I can get shoutcast streams working using mpg123 but so far no luck with
windows media streaming. Is there another player out there or a

MoH does not de-attach
Hi
We have a fairly simple Asterisk setup for a callcenter: around 10-15
operators running SIP softphones (X-Pro) and an Asterisk box connected
to a E1 service using a Digium T100P, and to our legacy PBX (NEC) over
a Digium TDM400P FXO interfaces.
Everything is working except our Music on Hold after a transfer of an
incoming call to our old PBX, that does not de-attach itself from the
transfer.
