Slackware & zttool
New to list, going through steep learning curve with *, could someone assist with how to install zttool with slackware10, the normal make zttool fails, assume I am missing a dependency? (newt and newt-devel?) Trying to test Q.031 pri span with TE405p card, Google has little clue on Zttool and the * manual has a heading, but no entry? Thanks Magnus

void your warranty and get a 3.3V/5V TE405P
http://www.mixdown.ca/~asterisk/ The card seems to be working fine. Don't expect warranty on it though. :-) Why? Because I wanted a quad-span T1 card which worked in the high-end systems I was intending it for, but that I could also keep a few in stock and if the system mainboard failed, pull the card an put it in a standard PC system. I didn't want to have to stock 3.3V and 5V

TE405P PRI B-channel resets
I understand from the archives that * does this occassionally, but I'm trying to figure out why. * didn't do this at all for two days, and then it's gone and done it 3 times in the past hour. It does not seem to be affecting calls, I'm just curious as to the reasoning behind the B channel resets and why they are so erratic. Regards, Andrew

Problem selecting E1 on TE405P
I am trying to install a TE405P which is to be connected to E1 trunks. I have set the jumpers to E1 (closed), but modprobe wct4xxp still fails with the message: ZT_CHANCONFIG failed for channel 97 - which obviously means the card is still in T1 mode. I have tried everything I can think of, any ideas? TIA

Digium TE405P, caller id and migration to *
Hi, we successfull managed to bridge a PSTN (E1) switch over the TE405P card to our old PBX. So now we could migrate to the * server. But, there are two things we can't live with: 1. A call from the outside to the old PBX is missing a leading 0 before the number. Ex: caller has number 0123456 -> * routes to old pbx -> old pbx sees 123456 as caller number. 2. A call made from a SIP

OT: TE405P pins and slots
Just got our 4 port T1 card. I know that I don't have any need to use these parts..this is simple curiosity. What are the 2 expansion slots for? I see a group of pins at the top called 'timing'; what they are for? There is a small dial called 'ident'; whats it for? I'm guessing that the pins labeled 'test' are for manuf testing of the card. Card looks very well

IBM X3200
Hi ppl . I am getting a IBM x3200.. This machine can only support up to 4 x 250GB SATA. I need to have a usable space of 500GB and mirror it to other 500GB. IBM proposed me to get 2 RAID cards. Do you guys think i can do raid 0 on the first 2 x 250GB HDD and raid 0 on the second 2 x 250GB hdd, both on hardware raid and then during the installation of centos 5, i raid 1 on both the 2 sets of

TE405P + Adit 600 and FXO module - should this work?
Folks, I'm experimenting with bringing multiple (8) analog lines from our local telco into a Carrier Access ADIT 600 channel bank with an FXO module, then having this talk to Asterisk via the T1 TDM controller on the ADIT and a TE405P card. I don't know if this will work well (ie: give me decent echo cancellation, call disconnect supervision, caller ID etc) but I haven't had much

RESOLVED - TE405P vs. SoundCard problem (in reality - TE405P No Voice Problem)
Forget the sound card. It isn't related. The subject above should have read 'TE405P No Voice Problem' or something similar. It appears to be a zaptel timing issue, but I have found a workaround. For those of you just tuning in, here is the story: I have a CentOS/Intel 865 box currently running Asterisk 1.2.7.1 and zap 1.2.5, both compiled from the source available off the main

Wine not working, Slackware 10.2
Clean install of Slackware 10.2. Wine 0.9.20. Downloaded slackware package. Installed with KPackage via KDE, no errors. I have several Windows apps that I used under Wine with Slackware 10.0. I right click on executable, select Wine Windows Emulator, I can see in the process table Wineserver, wine-preloader, and wineprefixcreator(?). Then they all go away, and nothing happens. It doesn't

About TE405P Digium Card
Hi Everybody, Is there anyone who already uses Asterisk with TE405P card? Is this card going well with the old E400P or T400P drivers? Are there a lot of differences? In the card's data sheet writes this sentece: "Digium has designed the TE405P to be fully compatible with existing software applications..." Is this meaning the the old drivers are also OK for this card? Thank you

Choosing between TE405P and TE410P
Is there anything to choose, in performance, between a TE405P and a TE410P? I understand the difference between the PCI bus voltages, and certainly don't intend to try Andrew's hacksaw operation :-). But if I choose the card first, and a compatible mobo second, does it make any difference which? Cheers Tony -- Tony Mountifield Work: tony@softins.co.uk - http://www.softins.co.uk Play:
