Using rsync for two-waz-synchronisation
Hello,
is there any way to use rsync for two-way-syncronisation? I want to use
it to keep the data on two hosts consistent. Sometimes one of this hosts
(sometimes the first, sometimes the second) changes its location.
If the two hosts are at the same location I want automatically rsync them.
The data only changes at one hosts but it is not defined on which host
it changes.
For example:

Grandstream ATA 286 tdm400 and Asterisk 1.2-13
Hi people,
I would like to read your suggestions as to where the issue might be.
ATA286=Grandstream Budgetone ATA 286 in SIP mode. One Lan Port and one FXS port.
TDM04B= 4 FXO signal fxls
There is a 8FXO-to-SIP unit in this scenario that works perfectly so i
will not make mention of it.

Band-wise Conditional Sum - Actual problem
Dear R helpers,
Thanks a lot for your earlier guidance esp. Mr Davind Winsemius Sir. However, there seems to be mis-communication from my end corresponding to my requirement. As I had mentioned in my earlier mail, I am dealing with a very large database of borrowers and I had given a part of it in my earlier mail as given below. For a given rating say "A", I needed to have the bad-wise

Monitor DTMF problems
Hello
We have discovered a problem with DTMF on Asterisk.
We have a setup with a T1 from PSTN going into an Asterisk box, and
then out again on T1 and into a normal PBX (EADS)
We use it to record all calls going to/from the PBX.
The problem is that when we record the calls (with MONITOR command),
DTMF tones gets obscured, and is not understood in the other end, if
we dont Monitor, there are no

GrandStream ATA286 & RC2 (was RC2 - H323 channel broken)
Hello everybody,
when I upgraded from RC1 to RC2 I didn't had any audio between my ATA286
and H323 EP (my post from 13/08/04) I checked further and discover that
problem is with ATA286 who is unable to call. I always get an 404 error.
Coming back to RC1 everything works fine again. I tried to modify my
dtmfmode from rfc2833 to info but in change nothing. Local call to

Best way to connect asterisk to an traditional PBX
Hi list,
we want to connect asterisk to an traditionnal PBX (EADS 6550/Matra).
People from telco told that they can't connect two PBX's using E1/T1 or
only with QSig signaling.
I wanted to use EuroISDN. In this case, it was me told that VN6-VN7
would be used. The PBX has a spare ADQ card installed on which we would
connect. Has someone a such working setup? Is it working well?

Neat way of using R for pivoting?
Hi,
I'd like to use R to do what excel pivot tables do, and plot results.
I've never used R before, and I've managed to do something, but it's quite a
lot of code to do something simple. I can't help but think I'm not "Doing it
the R way".
I could be using R for the wrong thing, in which case, please tell me off.
I was hoping something like plot(by(t,

Grandstream ATA Toasted
A BETA firmware upgrade toasted my ATA286. It now has limited operations. It will get an IP address via DHCP and register to the last configured SIP
server, but the web interface is gone as is the voice config menu. Apart from registration, there doesn't appear to be any other SIP functionality.
An Ethereal dump does not show the device trying to grab a new firmware via tftp on bootup, so

Duplex printer settings
Hello,
I have a samba 2.2.6 print server running on Solaris 2.7.
It has been working wonderfully for a long time. Now, I'm
setting up the server to automatically download the printer
drivers to the client PC. This also works great, except for
the duplex option on my duplex printers. The correct options
appear in "device settings" (such as "flip on long edge"),

without SMP.

smbd looking for non existent files
Hi
4.0.8 file server in a 4.0.8 domain
After a user logs in on a Linux client which is joined to the domain,
smbd is constantly looking for files which don't exist:
Here is the file server log after a user login to a Linux client has
settled down:
