Trellis Plot Labels
Hello everyone,
I am ploting a groupeddata object with formula:
formula(mydatausegroup)
BF ~ HO | ID/Infar/Day
Using this command:
plot(na.omit(mydatausegroup), displayLevel=2,layout=c(10,2),aspect=2)
This trellis plot does almost what I want and produces a 10x2 trellis plot, each panel is labeled
as ID/Infar where infarct is either 1 or 0. And in each panel, it plots BF vs HO for each Day.

Color eps/ps output from specialized plots?
Hello,
First a disclaimer :) I am very new to using R.
I am generating some plots and eventhough I can get colored output in the encapsulated postscript files in the simplest of commands (e.g. plot(1:10,1:10, type="l", col="red") ), it does not work for the particular plots I want. It works on the screen.
Here is an example taken out from "Mixed-Effects Models in S and

Any 24 (or 30) way FXS PCI cards?
It seems to me silly to have a T1/E1 card to connect to a channel bank
when you could just have a 24/30 way FXS card in the slot in the first
place.
Does such a thing exist?
Wouldn't Digium have a lot of customers if they could produce one for
say < $1000 retail?

Call Transfer Features
Looking for a liitle help if anyone has dealt with this;
The options on dial and queue of t (allow called party to transfer call)
and T (allow calling aprty to transfer call) seem to work fine (as long
as you do not confuse them with the same t and T that indicate
timeout!).
The problem I am having is the use of the # key to do so. Many times a
caller will palce a call to an IVR that requires

Ms Exchange vs dovecot
First of all, Exchange is a complete solution. Dovecot is a imap/pop3
server ( a good one, sure... )
So replacing exchange means to find an integrated solution.
about the questions: public folder was removed in exchange. IMHO they
made the right choice :)
There is a different thing, need different tools and different client
app. You can create shared mailboxes ( i think it's a little

Cross Subnet Browsing.
hi,
I need a hand setting up cross subnet browsing. Does anyone have some
good news group postings, or a HOWTO?
I have 2 samba servers, and 2 subnets. Each servers sits on it's own
domain/workgroup. I think this should be much simpler than it is,
and perhaps I am just missing one or two settings.
Of the 2 servers: A, B I would like 'A' to do any serving or

questions about HFSC, VoIP and (dynamic) ingress shaping
Hello,
I just found the great howto and started shaping my internet connection. The
howto''s last update is a liitle in the past now so I have some questions
about how things are done the best way nowadays ;-)
To ensure a stable and low latency voip communication I added an HFSC qdisc to
device ppp0 (1 Mbit SDSL). There are two classes (by now): One for SIP and
RTP and one for the

Aggregate: assembling the "by" part on the fly
Dear R users,
I'm having trouble using aggregate() and would
greatly appreciate your advice. I am using R 1.5.1
on Windows 2000.
I want to call my function in the following way
extract.data(x=dat[, "Age", "Year"])
where extract.data() uses aggregate() to count the number
of cases for each combination of "Age" and "Year".
I've defined

Speeding up wine applications
I currently managed to get wine to run Starcraft. However, it seems to
run very slow. I have a 700mhz processor and a 32mb GeForce2 MX so I'm
pretty sure that my system is capable of handling the game. What can I
do to accelerate the game or any other programs in general?

Ms Exchange vs dovecot
I was wondering about the sieve rules, because I thought they were
executed during mail delivery in the lmtp process. You can also 'guess'
this a bit from syntax of the rules or the single file they are stored
in. Thus if you 'drag' messages between folders, they are not executed.
Off topic:
I know Exchange is a different solution. What I think is stupid, is that
they store

Your outdated knee-jerking is entirely off-topic. Please find a political list if you want to continue your screed.

What''s eating my disk space? Missing snapshots?
Please can someone take a look at the attached file which shows the output on my machine of
zfs list -r -t filesystem,snapshot -o space rpool/export/home/matt
The USEDDS figure of ~2GB is what I would expect, and is the same figure reported by the Disk Usage Analyzer. Where is the remaining 13.8GB USEDSNAP figure coming from? If I total up the list of zfs-auto snapshots it adds up to about 4.8GB,

zombie child process
Hi,
This is the third or fourth time this happens. But puppetd gets a zombie
shell childprocess and then never finishes the run.
/opt/tc-puppet/bin/ruby /opt/tc-puppet/sbin/puppetd
\_ [sh] <defunct>
How do I begin looking on what can be wrong?
This error has appeared on both 2.7.6 and 2.7.11.

Elias

neatest way to determine a major version of centos/linux?
Just started a rollout of centos 6.x across our Puppet deployment
(100-odd servers).
what fact would people suggest I use to distinguish 5.x from 6.x
(quite a lot of subsystems are different between major releases)?
lsb* facts don''t seem to be present on centos 6 - is this an EPEL bug,
or have they
just been removed in Facter?
Thanks!

iax2 wireless and Multicast
Hi.
I'm proposing a wireless distribution system in infraestructure mode for a
valley with no cables and distant houses, respect to Asterisk, I can get a
company I work with to provide me with E1 and use LCR to get 4 different
telcos based on prefix.
I've been reading a very interesting paper about voip on wireless, i recommend

Interesting file-sharing idea
This may be unrealistic and useless, but I've been thinking about an interesting file-sharing solution.
In my system, only Ogg Vorbis files may be shared, and they should all be directly ripped from a CD. Nothing that someone would convert from MP3, etc. While that cannot be enforceable, it should be made clear. Also, track listings should be not filenames, but the Artist and Title of the

extracting rows and columns from a big matrix
Hi there and thanks in advance.
I have a large symmetrical matrix stored in a text file. After load in R I would like to extract the same number of columns and rows (symmetrical submatrix) using their labels.
I have tried this code in order to extract columns, but R console gives me the "+" sign at the end of the code, pointing out incomplete command, so it is not working:

ssh::auth sign of life?
Hi,
First I would like to start of with a quote from
http://projects.puppetlabs.com/projects/puppet/wiki/Module_Ssh_Auth_Patterns.
"ssh::auth is currently in an unstable release. Please test it, and
report bugs and feature requests on the Puppet users mailing list. Based
on the results of people’s testing, the interface may change for the
first stable release."
