VoIP service through Asterisk?
Greetings. I did some digging with Google, the wiki, and on the
archives, but didn't find a recent conclusive answer. If this is
answered in the wiki or archives somewhere, please point me to it.
I'm in the process of setting up an Asterisk box for home use. I've got
a X100P card on the way. I've not decided what analog adapter(s) to get
yet. The only phone service to hook up

Organizations where IT has approved the use of R software
Hi Gang,
I realize this post is not directly related to programing issues with R,
however, it appears this may be the best place to ask my question.
I am putting forward a request that R be considered "approved" software in
my organization. Never an easy task, this is made much more difficult given
that it is open source software (sends the IT gang into little fits). So, I

this job. But, it's time to move on... I'm retiring. (Yeah, that old.)
So, though I'll be part time for a few months, and running CentOS at
home (in spite of my manager's pushing me to do Ubuntu). This list is
*so* much more useful than any of the ones I've seen for Ubuntu, or
much

Congratulations on making it that far, Mark!

This is a very old version which is EOL. If you can upgrade to any of the
supported version (3.10 or 3.12) would be great.
They have many new features, bug fixes & performance improvements. If you

I don't know what's means about register in sip.conf
such as:
register => user:secret:authuser@host:port/extension
even if I registe a sip proxy , but how use it ?
I think :
when incoming from sip proxy to asterisk :
user a --> sip proxy --> asterisk --> pstn

Re: LXC + USB passthrough = Operation not permitted
So, if I remove the hostdev element related to the USB device, running
`lsusb` and `usb-devices` inside the container lists the proper device, but
I do not see the appropriate character device bus for the Android device
under /dev/bus/usb. We are not entirely sure that `lsusb` and `usb-devices`
queries the appropriate location - it somehow gets information from the
host, not the guest container,

User can't access share
Can anyone lend a clue: I have a user who cannot access a samba share.
His account is created on the server.
The share is accessible by everyone.
I can access the share.
Other users, in his group can access the share.
When he tries, he receives the following: "The network path
\\pasun-6\jnjdss1 <file://\\pasun-6\jnjdss1> could not be found"
He can ping the server from his pc.

Asterisk and SIPphone won't cooperate
When attempting to call one of the example numbers, like 17474745000, I
only get "488 Not Acceptable Here". It works fine when I configure the
softphone (Xten X-Lite) to use sipphone's server directly. Am I missing
something? Here's my relevant config sections:
sip.conf:
