RE: Parking from call group problems traced to context
It has been narrowed down to the CONTEXT the call was originally located
in.
I need to figure a way within the parking application to set the
extension I want the call to ring back to.
Specifically I want to set it to always ring back to the phone that
parked it.
Example, below
..
When the call rings only a specific phone http://pastebin.ca/2452 the
context it originates from aa_1,2204,1

looking for assistance into the matter.

How to park calls on a specific extension
Currently at our office, if I want someone else to pick up a call, I have
to transfer the call to them. So I'm looking into call parking, which is
ALMOST perfect.
The missing piece of the puzzle: I'm extension 203. I want any call I park
to get parked at extension 2203. I want a call my boss parks to park at
2205, since he's ext. 205. In other words, I want calls parked FROM

Park() help, extension not heard
I'm trying to get call parking to work, but I've run out of things to try.
I can place a call between two internal extensions, then on one
extension transfer the call to extension 700, and the call gets parked
on 701 but I don't hear the extension number when I do the transfer. I
can hangup and call 701 and get the call back.

Want to automatically park call and have caller hear ring tones
Here's the short of it. I have an Asterisk 1.2.1 system setup to
handle both personal and business calls. Now, the business callers
will hear music while on hold, so the default MOH needs to play
regular music. Personal callers should hear rings, not music. I have
this working except for one specific case. If someone calls during
the day (we're night people), asterisk will not ring

Park() ignores 'r' option which should disable music on hold in favour of ringing tone
When I receive a call, I want to automatically park it from the dialplan so that I can retrieve it later. However, I don't want callers to be aware that they are being parked, so I want to play a ringing tone to the caller. Park() is supposed to be able to do this:
Park([timeout][,return_context[,return_exten[,return_priority[,options[,parking_lot_name]]]]])
options
r: Send ringing

Multiple parking lots use default park positions
Hello, all. I'm having a deeply frustrating time getting multiple
parking lots to work and am wondering what I am doing wrong. I am using
Asterisk 1.6.1.1. I defined two separate parking lots in features.conf
as follows:
[parkinglot_a100] ; SSI
context => a100-parking
parkpos => 900-920
findslot => next
[parkinglot_a10] ; EBC
context => a10-parking
parkpos => 800-820

Want to automatically park call and have callerhear ring tones
Short replay to long 'short of it'!!
Use a queue for your calls set the queue to ring. 'r' option I belive.
Set up a queue that has no members but allows you t 'joinempty'
Setup an extension that AddQueueMember(home-silent).
You will then need to hangup and the call will ring.
Before entering the queue you could have the system send the YAC info
for you.
It will

Sticky Park
My company for various reasons has asked that I come up with a way to
have previously parked calls be re-parked in the same parking slot. I
have looked at setting up asterisk so that the receptionist chooses
which slot to place a call, but I think there is an easier way. That is
when I came up with the idea of "Sticky Park". Here is how it would
work. A call would come in and

Parked Call Ringback
Hello,
I have enabled call parking and it works great.
However, when the "hold time" hits the "parkingtime", the extension that
parked the call is called back.
The problem is, if that extension does not pickup the returning call, the
call gets dropped.
Is it possible to get Asterisk to automatically park the call again if the
callback isn't answered?

Park and PARKINGDYNAMIC
I have been trying to get the dynamic parking working.
For some reason when I park a call using this method the console says it is
using the default parking context not the one I am trying to specidfy. It
also is playing the parked extension to the caller. I am transfering the
call to an extension that is doing a goto to the context below. Any ideas
or examples on how to make this work.

No MOH on SIP hold nor on park
Hi,
when I put a call on hold from my Nokia E51 (SIP client), the other side
does NOT hear music on hold although sip debug / wireshark shows that
the E51 tells the asterisk that it now holds the call. Canreinvite is
set to "no".
Also, when parking a call (features.conf), the parked caller does not
hear music on hold.
In queues, when using "#" and when using the hold

Park buttons on Polycom IP501/601
Is anyone using fixed Park buttons (some of the ones on the left side
of the screen) on a Polycom phone? Here's what I mean:
- Call is received and parked, by the user pressing an unlit park
button (e.g. 701) and the call is parked there.
- The call can be picked up at any other extension by pressing the
flashing park 701 button.
- Once the call has been picked up, the 701 park slot is idle

Park function and billsec
When a call comes in and is parked using the Park() command it appears that
the billing seconds do not include the time while the caller was parked. Is
there a simple way to correct this with an option or setting in asterisk.
This is not acceptable as we are loosing min when callers park calls.
I am using 1.8.x release currently.
Thanks

Park/retrieval of calls
Hi!
I'd like to be able to park/pickup a call with h323.
Parking the call is easy, using ParkAndAnnounce.
But ParkAndAnnounce does not return the parkinglot in a variable.
So, I can't retrieve the call later.
To keep it simple, here is a simple scenario of what I want:
The call is established from phone 307. I enter DTMF code "#1" on phone
307. The call is then parked. I

Call park on Linksys 922 and similar phones?
I'm having an issue with call park on my new Linksys 922. It has
soft menu keys for doing call transfer (which I always think is a good
idea because it's amazing how every phone has a different xfer interface
and people always get confused).
However, I can't get a good call park working on it. It doesn't respond
to the use of "#" for transfer (nor should I want it to,

Park & No Announce?
We're using Grandstream GXP-2000 with programmed buttons to the first 5
parking lot extensions. When a call is parked, whichever parking lot
extension it's parked on lights up red. We've never used the "announce"
part and I'm wondering if there's an option I can't seem to find to
disable the announce so the transfer happens faster.
Thanks for any help,

park()-command always parks on default 701
Hello,
I have the following in my dialplan :
exten => callpark,n,Set(PARKINGDYNPOS=200-210)
