Problems with the FXS module in a TDMxxx card (no sound when receiving a call
Hi all, I have a brand new TDMxxx card with 3 FXO modules and one FXS. It has replaced my old 3 X100P cards. The FXO part work as before, after some adjustments in the rxgain/txgain part. The problem I have is with the FXS module. I can place calls to SIP/IAX or PSTN destinations without any problems, but the sound received by the other part is much to strong and a little bit distorted. I have

Adit 600 FXO card sound quality
I have an adit 600 with one fxo card connected to a Digium single span T1 card. CallerID, disconnect supervision work perfect, however the users complain that they have some sound quality issues, after testing it I realized that whenever one is in a phone call they get like silence between the sounds coming from the other party, almost like a cell phone, in other words if there is no sound coming

Dual X100P cards
I know the X100P cards are not supported by Digium any more, but for home office use, are they still acceptable? I have two POTS lines, one residential and one business line comming into the house. I'd like to get both into my * server and $15 total compared to > $100 for the newer TDMxxx card sure is desirable. Having said that, will the sound quality, functionality, stability, etc. be as

Weird..bridging to Zap channel FXS instead of bridging to PSTN FXO on outgoing group
Hi All, Channels 25-28 on a customers PBX are regular Zaptel FXO cards that are hooked into 4 incomming phone lines. They are all in a group to do automatic rollover for outgoing calls (if channel 25 is being used, dial on channel 26, etc.). Sometimes when a user is dialing a number, instead of bridging to one of the FXO cards it goes and rings to Zap/1-1. This doesnt occur all the time but some

Configuring chan_dahdi.conf for Sangoma A200/Remora FXO/FXS Analog AFT card
Hi I have been having a rough time getting a Sangoma A200/Remora FXO/ FXS Analog AFT card set up properly. The main issue is that the card has four ports and as far as I can tell Asterisk is only seeing two. On the two that it recognizes the "Green" FXS ports are not green, they just are not lit. The "RED" FXO ports are indeed red, but from what I have read your not

Buzzing on TDM400P FXS?
I have an intermittent problem with the one FXS line that I have. On most calls, the first ~5 seconds of the call has a loud buzzing noise on the line. After 5 seconds or so, it fades off to nothing, and the sound quality is great. Searching for "buzzing" on the list doesn't give a whole lot to work with. The buzzing happens on calls that are routed over both my FXO line and

Detecting disconnect on TDM400P with 3 FXO ports and 1 FXS port
Hellow everyone, here's an other newby question. I've got a * configured with the card in the subject line. At times Asterisk fails to notice a disconet from the incoming line going into one of the FXO ports. Consequently it just keeps the line off-hook for ever and that causes my provider to mark the line aut of order. Is there any way to "help" Asterisk notice the disconect?

help with linejack card
Hi, I am trying to get a prototype working based on Asterisk and Quicknet cards. I currently have to systems set up each with a LineJack card. I have the systems working, but can't get the voicemail demo to work properly. Messages to the user telephone set from the voicemail system are clear, but recordings left through the phone are distorted. Sounds like the audio has lots of echo and

The receive and transmit is too soft. So i increased the txgain and rxgain. The volume is fine after this, but there is a lot of 'wind' noise on the line. I have my echo cancellation on, aggregive

Reducing echo on FXS port
Hello everybody, I am sorry to bring this up again if this kind of echo issue has ever discussed. Phone2 in below call path experiences quite annoying echo: Phone1 --> FXS (TDM400P) --> Asterisk --> SIP GW --> PSTN --> Phone2 It is annoying as on phone2, we can hear the whole words we say with the level of maybe 25% of the original sound. I can reduce the echo to maximum with

Softphone vmail indicator and TDM400P woes
Hello list... 1) Is there an IAX softphone that supports any kind of voicemail indicator? 2) I have 2 TDM400Ps installed in a system. I need the audio on the analog phone (FXS modules) to be amplified somewhere between 10 and 15db so I set rxgain and txgain to 15 for the FXO interfaces and FXS interfaces. When a call comes in on the FXO at this setting, the call sometimes has about 20 seconds of

Possibly bad FXS module in TDM400P?
I've got the latest zaptel and cvs asterisk software loaded on my phone server running FC3. And yes, It's fully updated and udev is setup correctly. I've got a TDM400P with one FXS and one FXO module installed. When I load zaptel and wctdm and run ztcfg -vvv, I get this: [root@asterisk ~]# ztcfg -vvv ZT_CHANCONFIG failed on channel 1: No such device or address (6) Zaptel

spandsp with TDM fxo card?
Has anyone made spandsp to work with a digium tdm fxo card? I finally got the rxfax and txfax modules to compile, the spandsp lib installed (and in the libpath), and now receive: -- Starting simple switch on 'Zap/1-1' -- Executing RxFAX("Zap/1-1", "/var/fax.tif") in new stack -- Hungup 'Zap/1-1' I've tried to adjust rxgain/txgain in

Very bad quality with AVM Fritz!card PCI and chan_capi
Hi everyone, I have Asterisk SVN-trunk-r7498 running for a few months and I'm quite happy with it. However, I am experiencing a quality issue with my AVM Fritz!card PCI which is used with chan_capi. When somebody calls me on this line he hears a lot of noise and I hear "scratches" and "plops". It is very annoying. Below is is my /etc/asterisk/capi.conf I've tried to

Calibrating both RX and TX gain?
Hello! I'm having an echo problem with a TDM card. The TDM card is being fed by a channel bank just 12 or so feet away. When you put an analog handset on the line, both the RX and TX volume seem to be just fine. However, when I use the TDM card, I have to have an rxgain of 13.5, and even then, the audio is relatively quiet. I'm also getting echo on these lines, so I have turned

Tiny Echo on PSTN via Zaptel
I'm using Asterisk 1.0.9, a Digium TE210P dual T1 card, and two Rhino channel banks (one 12FXO/12FXS, the other 24 FXS). So it's an analog phone on the inside connected to one of the FXS ports, and PSTN line connected to one of the FXO ports. My problem is that as soon as I hear the _first_ ring when I dial out through the PSTN line, I hear a tiny echo on the phone (I estimate between

FXO card still won't pick up...
I recently updated (fresh checkout) to the newest zaptel and Asterisk. The one I was using before was a couple of months old. After updating, my zap channels don't work. They won't pick up incoming calls or dial out. When I try to dial out I get: -- Executing Dial("SIP/3064-564c", "Zap/g1/ww954.......") in new stack NOTICE[245776]: File app_dial.c, Line 698
