Protocol Error (6) using Zaphfc
Hi!
Has anybody seen anything like this using zaphfc?
On outgoing calls (via isdn) , the line gets hung-up as soon as the called
party answers.
As seen below i get some protocol error (6) - but i'm not sure if this is
related to the "hang-up" which apparently comes a little earlier?!
Incomming calls on the isdn (zaphfc) interface is working just fine

HFC-S and TE110P at the same time
I guess it is possible to have an HFC-S card and a Digium TE110P card
working at the same time?
The TE110P will work in E1 mode.
I think the zaptel.conf is probably right but the zapata.conf not (I
just tacked on another group at the end but I don't really know what I
am doing).
Can anyone help?

asterisk and telewell isdn hfc problem
Hi,
I have debian etch 4.0 machine (2.6.18) with two TW-ISDN PCI (Hfc) cards. I
use bristuff-0.3.0-PRE-1y-e (asterisk-1.2.17,libpri-1.2.4,zaptel-1.2.16). I
also have patched zaphfc with zaphfc_0.4.0-test1_florz-13.diff.gz (I load
module: insmod /usr/src/bristuff-0.3.0-PRE-1y-e/zaphfc/zaphfc.ko modes=1
debug=1). So i want to test two cards and make loop between them. So one
card would be NT,

zaphfc: empty HDLC frame or bad CRC received
Hi, i've downloaded/compiled/installed the bristuffed asterisk
Asterisk 1.0.7-BRIstuffed-0.2.0-RC8a
and i'm using it with an hfc card. It runs on a debian 3.1 sarge machine
with kernel 2.6.11. Asterisk works well if i configure the card using
isdn4linux.
I'm having problems dialing out (not tried the input yet).
This is the output from asterisk:

I have the same problem in a box with 2 HFC-PCI, but i already remove the row in modprobe.conf and load the module manually.
Both cards works fine
Any idea ?

hfc-pci/zaphfc: Asterisk hangs with signalling bri_net_ptmp but not with bri_net
Please forgive me, if I misunderstand the problem completely.
Following instructions in several german blogs, I want to configure
Asterisk with a hfc-pci card, an old NTBA and an ISDN phone
as a SIP device.
It seems that I have to set signalling in zapata.conf to bri_net_ptmp.
When I do this, Asterisk will hang if started with -vvvvc, the last
lines of output being:

bri-stuff.0.1.0-RC2k + hfc card: dropouts on IAX2 & MP3Player quits on streams
Hi there,
I am using bri-stuff.0.1.0-RC2k and it seems that things didn't become
better. I have got lots of dropouts on the IAX2 link (no matter if
jitter buffers are enabled).
Further the MP3Player application does not playback streams like
http://somestreamserver/somestream. It stops saying:

Big zaphfc issues
I have a "Cologne Chip Designs GmbH ISDN network controller" in my
asterisk box, and an ISDN line connected up to it. I downloaded the

asterisk using these instructions:

ZapHFC Channel unavailable
I am running Asterisk 1.0.9 and the latest bristuff in combination with a
HFC isdn card, connected to a BRI interface.
For some reason, I am not able to have it dial out (see below). It exits
with DIALSTATUS=CHANUNAVAIL.
One thing that may be misconfigured is that it says: Signalling Type: PRI
Signalling.
How do I change this? Or is this the correct value?
I posted my configs below.

ZAPHFC Drop calls
Hi everybody,
I had an ISDN card with winbond chipset and isdn4linux, but there was a lot of
echo when call from SIP to ISDN, so I buy an HFC chipset card (Conceptronic
c128i). I downloaded and compiled bristuff-0.2.0-RC5 and everything is going
fine. The sound quality is excellent, there is no echo, but i have a strange
problem. Sometimes calls made from SIP phones to ISDN just finished

zaphfc no callerid incoming to SIP phone but visible in logfile
Hello,
I've added a ZAPHFC card to my CAPI based system. Calls coming in via
ZAPHFC do not forward the caller id to the SIP phones. Calls coming in
via CAPI do forward the caller id to the SIP phones.
Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

Try commenting out the line
pritrustusercid = yes
Or set it to 'no'.
That worked for me.

debian/dahdi/zaphfc - Unable to receive TEI from network!
Hello,
The harddisk of my etch/bristuffed asterisk1.2 box finally died. I moved
the cheap (1397:2bd0) HFC-S card to a squeeze host (i686) and built
dahdi modules 2.3.0.1 using m-a. After zaptel->dahdi and asterisk
1.2->1.6 config adaptations, everything seems ok, except for the BRI
side, unable to bring layers 1/2 up.
Asterisk reports:
