Echo Cancelation on TE110P
On a 55 station install onto a Cox PRI with a TE110P (Polycom 501 phones) a few users are complaiining about echo. According to the users, the echo seems to be phone number dependant. They claim that certain phone numbers have echo while others dont. Are there any tuning parametes like there is for a TDM400 card? Earpiece Connections
Does anyone know of a piece of hardware that can allow multiple earpices to be connected directly to a server running Asterisk. I hope I am not being to vague but basically I am looking to allow a call center to user the server to do all of the "Pickup" and "Hangup" functions. The operators will merely have to have th earpiece in their ear. I have seen serial pieces of

Headsets for Cisco 7940/7960
What headsets have people found work well with the Cisco 7940 and 7960 phones? To date, I have tried a couple of the headsets within the Plantronics H series (H41-N), and noticed that the volume of my speaking is lower over the headset than on the regular handset. I am currently looking for headsets that are known to work well. I do know that Cisco lists the H-91 and H-101 as certified to

Grandstream 100 sidetone
For people who are using GS 101, what do you think the sidetone generated by the phone. I find mind a bit annoying. It has a delay and you notice it as an echo. The volume of the sidetone is also quite hight. I am distracted when both caller and called party talking over each other occasssionally. SPA3k wired to PAP2 for echo testing
In my seemingly endless search for the cause of echo on my SPA3000, I wired it up in the following configuration: Analogue Handset <--> (FXS)SPA3000(FXO) <--> PAP2 And set the Line1 dialplan on the SPA3k to '(<:@gw0>S0)' which means that as soon as I pick up the handset I get linked straight through to the PAP2, which gives me dialtone. Even in this configuration, with

sidetone noticeably loud on analog handsets on T100P
Hi guys, I've run into a problem that I can't figure out on a bunch of handsets I have running into a Rhino Equipment 24-port FXS channel bank hooked up to a T100P and running asterisk-0.9.0 and the associated stable Zaptel release. The sidetone (your own voice that you hear in your handset, built in for comfort) is noticeably louder than it should be, and it doesn't seem to

Sidetone with Snom 370
Hi all, I'm not getting any sidetone on my Snom 370. I searched the web and the snom wiki, but I don't see any place to enable/adjust it. Callers say I sound great on the other end, but I don't hear myself so it is a little off-putting. Any suggestions would be appreciated. On a related note, some times (maybe 1 out of 10 calls) I get the side tone, but its delayed by a second or

SPA942 quality for a Bank
Before committing to about 50 of the spa942's, I like to take a last poll from those on the list to identify any negative issues that might be associated with the audio, functionality, early failures, etc, on the spa942. Expecting to deploy these using existing cat5 cabling and both rj45 jacks. Been using three of theme in a short term demo with the customer, but the demo systems has

Too much silence, perceived delay
In a system connected to a verizon T1, Digium TE411P (quad T1 echo cancellation), client is complaining it is "too quiet". The complaint regards calls over the T1, not in house SIP only calls. Their description indicates they want some earpiece feedback of themselves speaking. Also, they complain that it takes several seconds (3-4) for the other party to respond. That is kind of

Call quality questions
Our basic system is as follows: P4 3.0 Ghz w/ HT, 1GB PC3200 RAM, 120 GB HDD, RH 9.0 OS, * from CVS several weeks ago, working OK for routing, VM, and AA, calls in on separate PSTN lines to Adtran TSU 600, into * server through T100P card. The hardware is not taxed at all with little over 20% proc utilization ever, low mem use, etc. All Phones are SNOM 200's with various firmware revisions

Beeps and noises during calls
I have a very annoying problem that we hear on our end, but the other party doesn't hear. There are random beeps and echo type noises that occur. They are present during voicemails, and present on my end during calls. Is anyone experiencing the same deal? I have asked this a number of ways on the list, and never get a response... Thank you. TDM400 with FXS some handsets not ringing
Folks, I have a TDM400 with an FXS module. I'm having some trouble ringing some phones attached to the device. I have a real el cheapo handset that cost me about 9UKP. It works fine, I plug it into the Wildcard and call the channel and it rings. I have tried plugging in my BT Diverse 3016 cordless phone but it will not ring, although I can call out from it. I have also tried my GPO 332L

SPA-941 (and others ) Transmit Sound Quality
Hello, This is not exactly an Asterisk question, but I was encouraged to seek advice here anyway. The kindness of the * open source community is legendary :) I am getting going with an Asterisk 1.2 box, and I'm having trouble getting good quality transmit sound using handsets with VoIP phones. I'm primarily trying to focus on SPA-941, but also experimenting with Aastra 9113i and Uniden

Even better you can set your firefly softphone to auto answer so that you don't even need to be near the pc to answer.
