Launch Linux verison of Firefox from Lotus Notes 7?
I'm running Notes 7.0.2 and have tried 2 versions of wine so far
(0.9.30, 0.9.29). I'm going to try some in the 0.9.19-0.9.21 range
since those seem to take care of another problem I've got, but my gut
tells me that this change won't fix my firefox launching problem.
The closest I can find to my problem is bug 2222, but that's been fixed
for years. Since I don't see

[PATCH] NMI watchdog: use new counter on Core/Core2 CPUs
The old CPU_CLK_UNHALTED performance counter no longer runs on Core or
Core2 CPUs. Use the new CPU_CLK_UNHALTED.CORE_P one.

URL for downloads by apt on Fedora Core2
Hi. I see the URL for downloading wine with apt for my Debian installs, but is
there one I can use with apt for downloading wine to my Fedora installs. I've
tried a few options, but keep getting 404's. The last one I tried was.
rpm http://wine.sourceforge.net/apt/ fedora/2/i386 binary
This is sort of following the layout of other URL's I've got
in /etc/apt/sources.list, for

R crash with ATLAS precompiled Rblas.dll on Windows XP Core2 Duo
I noticed a problem using R 2.7.1 on Windows XP SP2 with the precompiled
Atlas Rblas.dll. Running the code below causes R to crash. I started R
using Rgui --vanilla and am using the precompiled Atlas Rblas.dll from
cran.fhcrc.org dated 17-Jul-2007 05:04 for Core2 Duo.
The code that causes the crash:
x <- rnorm(100)
y <- rnorm(100)
z <- rnorm(100)
loess(z ~ x * y)
loess(z ~ x) does

bad identification of the CPU pentium dual core ( penryn instead of core2 )
lvm 3.7.0 treats pentium dual core ( cpu family 6 model 23 ) as "penryn"
cpu, which triggers a serious bug :
- crashs in openGL programs when llvm is used by mesa package, llvm will
produces binary code with SSE4 instructions, which is not compatible
with pentium dual core, because this CPU doesn't support SSE4
instructions ( bad cpu opcodes ),
with llvm 3.6.2 this bug doesn't

Asterisk + SER and NAT
Hi,
We are testing a SIP solution * + ser solution for a large implementation.
All the clients are nated.
When a client is dialing outside the domain (to a FWD sip account for
example) all is perfect ! ;-)
But ,when a call is done to a sip account, the client is ringing, then the
caller can hear the nated client very well, but the nated client does'nt
hear anything. RTP issue no ?

IMAP vs system username logging with checkpassword auth
Hi
After upgrading to dovecot 1.0.7 I noticed that the actual username is
no longer logged, but rather the system user (in my case 'vmail')
under which my virtual set-up runs. Now I'm unable to see which
virtual users log in. Any pointers on how to configure dovecot to log
the actual username given during the IMAP dialogue would be
appreciated.
My dovecot.conf includes the following:

You are reading the instructions for the STABLE 1.0 version of asterisk and
are using the CVS version.
Goto the wiki and read the instructions for RealTime.

Unknown commments in shorewall status.
I wonder if someone can tell me what these ''unknown'' remarks mean in my
status file. They are only in the last portion of the file and are listed
below. If they mean nothing, I will rest easy. But if not it means
I need to fix something. Your thoughts would be appreciated.

Ongoing Samba Errors
Greetings
We just updated two RH9 servers to 3.0.14a-1 and are still seeing a lot
of errors in the logs.
They're not stopping us working but I would _really_ like to understand
what is causing them.
On the first server, in the logwatch, we get a whole swag of:
samba:
Unknown Entries:
session opened for user janicer by (uid=0): 6 Time(s)
session opened for user sonjap by
