fatpipe.vorbis.com - no route to host
Hi,
I'm trying to download new Ogg Vorbis rpms, and I get a "no route to
host" error for fatpipe.vorbis.com for the past several hours.
traceroute tells me:

Mirrors?
Okay, since the site is slashdotted can someone post a list of mirrors
to this list? For starters I've put the tarballs at
ftp://ftp.rlug.org/vorbis, if anyone's having a hard time getting
through.

Squid - Load Balancing Multihomed Linux Router
Hi All,
In a scenario, where a LAN is being provided internet connectivity
through multiple ISPs terminated at a Load Balanced Multihomed Linux
Router as described in LARTC HowTo, how would the traffic distribution
affected if there is a squid based transparent proxy for the LAN''s web
traffic on the same system (i.e. the load balanced router itself). The
recent squid versions have

Dual Wan Router with Failover
Hi List,
Does anyone know of a good dual wan router that can handle SIP well and can failover between connections if there is a SIP issue on one of the lines (meaning there still is a connection however there isnt enough bandwith or sip packets arent going thru etc.) ?
Thanks.

dual wan, dual router, one machine behind, route from both to / from one machine
i apologize if this has been asked before, but things are too busy to
preclude a full search of the list.
i have both cable and dsl from the local providers here. due to wiring
issues here, i''ve been forced to put the cable modem in one end of the house
and the dsl modem in the other.
the cable modem is firewalled off by a cisco pix 501 (192.168.2.12). the

Setting up dual WAN firewalling bridge
I currently have a 6mbit DSL line with a /28 block of static IP numbers.
My DSL modem is in bridge mode, so I do not have a router. Because I
dont want to put all my machines directly on the internet without some
kind of firewall, I put a Linux machine between my DSL modem and my LAN,
like this,
DSL Modem --> eth0 Linux bridge/firewall/shaper eth1 --> LAN
I need more bandwidth though

Two Internet connections...
I do some occasional tech work for a cable TV/Internet service provider. They
have now offered me free services, including cable Internet. I currently have a
DSL service through the telephone company and, for several reasons including the
fact that it is really unlimited service with no cap and it comes with newsgroup
access (neither of which the cable service has), I'm not really prepared

DHCP Handling and Traffic Control over a Working Load Balanced Dual ISP Setup

Split access on a single interface
Hi you all,
I''m working on outbound load-balancing between multiple (actually 2) ISPs.
Examples given in docs/articles are perfectly working, but I would like to
go a bit further.
My idea would be to have a "cheap" LinkProof (from Radwar) box, and the
major difference between this box and a Linux solution is that a LinkProof
can be installed without changing the IP addressing.

There is already a FatPipe host/device template and graph template that
someone has built!
I haven't loaded it as yet-- note his comments about his RRA being
included in his templates.

nmbd multihomed registration request must be directed at a WINS server error
Hi there,
I just got a new machine with Redhat Enterprise Workstation and samba
3.0.0-14 pre-installed. I am trying to connect it to my existing network
which has a redhat v8 samba v2 PDC controlling 16 or so win2k and winxp
machines.
In the nmbd log I get this error 3 times every 5 seconds or so:
nmbd/nmbd_packets.c:process_nmb_request(1448)

Multihomed AC DC Server and subnets
Hello:
I am currently planning to divide our network in smaller subnets. Our
central server is a Samba AD DC File Server also acting as DC.
My plan is subnet our current network, add a new interface for each
subnet in the Samba File Server and configure it to listen in all new
interfaces.
Questions:
1 - Does this multihomed configuration have any drawback, specifically
because AD relies

Chris,
Perhaps you need to perform some write_conf like command. I''m not sure if this is needed in 1.6 or not.

IPSec tunnel and routing
Hello.
I wonder how just correct couple of spdadd commands like
spdadd 192.168.1.0/24 192.168.2.0/24 any -P out ipsec esp/tunnel/10.1.0.1-10.2.0.1/require;
spdadd 192.168.2.0/24 192.168.1.0/24 any -P in ipsec esp/tunnel/10.2.0.1-10.1.0.1/require;
makes _routing_ of packets from 192.168.1/24 into 192.168.2/24.
If I understand correctly how it works on *BSD, these commands with
