I've been seeing some random Proliant DL380 G4 64bit crashes. Each time, on the console are messages relating tojbd2/cciss and something about a waitfor 120 seconds. Is anybody else seeing anything like this? Oddly, I can't seem to find this in the logs. Greetings, Can anyone relate experience(s) installing CentOS on Compaq rack mount servers units please? Easy no problem, easy some issues, or ghastly do not do it under any circumstances... ;) Basically, I'm looking at some used/refurb dual PIII units and will run RAID on Compaq built in SCSI or is it easy to pop in some 3ware SATA in them? Hi, i have a proliant dl380 g5, with an amd as1000. I try to install centos8 with gui, but when try to start the new installed system, the xserver don't start. There is a throuble with the amd es1000 driver. This grafic card, seems not supported more from amd. I need a minimalistic gui for study for rhcsa certification. The gui is mandatory for the exam. I just installed CentRC1 on a Dell gx150 as a test. I'm running into the same problem I had with Fc3. I get a partition table error when trying to use ghost8 to create an image. I was considering putting Cent4 on a ProliantDL380, FC3 installed on that machine but wouldn't boot up, stuck on Grub. I had FC2 on the Proliant but when FC2 went to the 2.6 kernel, it hung up on the Nash prompt.

Just thought I'd pass along an error I received this weekend after upgrading two servers to 5.6. Both are HP Proliant DL380 servers running 64-bit, but one is a G6 model and one is a G7.
