Deploying VoIP on a WAN
Hi,
As many of you may know, we are undertaking several tests in order to test
the interoperability between several PBX IP from different vendors. Until
now, we were trusting that the VoIP IP PBX were good enough to be
interconnected directly, however, one of the vendors have presented the
"SBC"
concept.
The "SBC" (Session Border Controller) is not a new concept since we

enable eyeBeam to accept only one call
Hello
I'm using eyeBeam, and Asterisk keeps sending my clients a second call,
when they are still in one call (because eyeBeam has lots of channels).
I was using X-Lite (with 3 channels) and Asterisk never sent the client
a second call.
How can I force Asterisk (or eyeBeam) just to send one call at each time.
Is this a configuration I need to do in eyeBeam or Asterisk?
Thanks
Regards
Joao

Error connecting to Samba share from pocketPC
I've setup a wireless network with a Linux server, several Windows XP PC's
and a PocketPC running Windows Mobile 2003 SE. The Linux server is running
Debian and Samba 3.0.10. All is working fine, with Samba as a domain
controller and serving shares for the Windows PC's.
However my PocketPC is unable to connect to a Samba share (it can connect
just fine to a share on Windows XP)

LIBC.lib and developing for PocketPc
Hi
I downloaded speex_win32_1.0.4_setup.exe. I was pretty happy to see that
there was libspeex.lib and libspeex.dll. Everything went fine until I
tried to build speexenc.c as win32 console program. Visual Studio 2005
gives error: "fatal error LNK1104: cannot open file 'LIBC.lib'". What is
this LIBC.lib file?
My ultimate goal would be to make wav->speex encoder

PocketPC Softphone?
Anybody got any preferences for a good SIP softphone? Ideally, a free
download for the moment, as this is just for some initial proof-of-concept.

Re: [Asterisk-Dev] Softphone for PocketPC or iPaq
I have tried sjphone - worked well, although I think my 3 year old IPAQ
had a bit of a hard time keeping up with the pace as there was quite a
delay in the speech. Probably says more about my ancient IPAQ than
SJPhone.

Codec For PocketPC
Hi,
I have ported the speex codec to PocketPC. However there are some issues coming.
Firstly, i am trying to use a sampling rate of 44.1KHz and 14KHz after changing some of the code.
When i try to decode and listen , there is some break in sound which occurs only at the starting of the sample file.
On the first run, it works fine but the break increases upto a certain level on subsequent runs .

speex under PocketPC
Are there any caveats when trying to get speex running under PocketPC?
I'm under fairly tight bandwidth constraints and would like to avoid
going AMR. Is it about as simple as setting up a project and running,
or is it a more involved port?

[ANNOUNCE] PocketPC Port for speex-1.1.5 with sample code
Actually, the best thing do to would be to use __int64 *unless* it's not
supported. So there needs to be a configure check...

client NT always asks for password
Hello
Our NT workstations always ask for the password on
each share of the samba server, although the password
is the same as the log on password.
Is there any way to avoid this ?
The first try always fails on the server, but I don't
what user/passwd combination NT uses on that first time...
Thanks,

dialplan defenition
Hello list,
Im writing my dial plan, in witch every SIP phone begins with 74 and has
more 3 numbers (like 74XXX).
So, I want to route all 74XXX calls to my sip channel. For this I wrote
this line:
exten => s,1,Dial(SIP/74118@193.136.252.5,30,r)
but this way all calls go to 74118@193.136.252.5 .....
Then I tried:
exten => s,1,Dial(SIP/${EXTEN}@193.136.252.5,30,r)
but this way, the

Re: [Serusers] softphones
Hi
I tried Xten, its very good, because it can stay in the taskbar (next to the
clock) and start when windows starts, and is allways ready to receive calls.
Maybe it s the best way to introduce VoIP to my company workers....
But theres a feature that s missing (or I couldnt find), there s no way to
connect this softphone with the adress book. I think this feature is very
important, because

RE: Wanting to Make a PocketPC have asecureConnection to asterisk server
I'm wanting both the voice and the configuration to be secure. (very
secure). I don't care if it is SIP or IAX but I do need a softphone on
the pocketpc I can use. I'd appreciate if you could take a look this
weekend for me.
Thanks, -Peter

Speex in a PocketPc crashes sometimes.
Hello Cesar
I'm using Speex on a PPC2002 and PPC2003 with no problems. For tune-up
remember to define the FIXED_POINT macro in Project->Settings in eVC. With
this setting you ought to be able to at least decode in realtime while using
debug-mode.
Kind regards

Problem with call pickup
I have configured call pickup, and this works fine.
Although there are 2 problems, perhaps anyone would know a solution to this;
- When I pickup a call from another set, the *8 code keeps being displayed
in my screen (Snom 220).
I would like it to show the phonenumber of the person calling me.
- When a caller that I've answered through Call-Pickup disconnects, my phone
does not close
