wifi cluelessness
The nice folks at work have just provided me with a new, really spiffy,
ThinkPad. So, I''m trying to get wireless working under CentOS4 and I''m
having trouble. First, I can''t seem to find any rpms to just install
(this would be really nice). And, second, when I try to build it from the
src.rpm that I pulled from the atrpms repository with "rpmbuild

asterisk: problems with connecting to a (german) sip provider
hello !
My problem is:
Astriks should create a connection to other members using a german Sip
provider (www.sipgate.de).
there are no problems with connections to:
o Sip- Accounts
o national phone numbers
o mobile phone numbers
but connections to international phone numbers DO NOT WORK (see the attached
protokoll).
The connection to international phone numbers does work when I directly use

shadow-utils problem
In an effort to discover some of the details in /etc/shadow, I have
downloaded and rebuilt the SRPM. It seems to be missing a dependency of
gcc-c++. After installing that, the build went fine.
Also, does anyone have a pointer to detailed information about /etc/shadow?
The man page is many years out of date and is now a bit incorrect.

[Bug 2645] --one-file-system semantics changed with 2.6.4 (bug?)
https://bugzilla.samba.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2645
------- Additional Comments From dalgoda@ix.netcom.com 2005-04-24 11:36 -------
It looks like the culprit is the change for receiver.c 1.130. It pulled the
call to send_file_list(-1,...), which is what handled the one_file_system code.
It's not like we can easily go back either, since flist.c 1.267 removed support
for f=-1.
Bummer.

Latest CVE's For MySQL
Looks like a series of vulnerability alerts for Oracle MySQL have been
issued: CVE-2018-2562, CVE-2018-2647 (both high), CVE-2018-2645,
CVE-2018-2646, CVE-2018-2665 (all three medium). This affects versions
5.7.20 and prior. I know CentOS/RedHat usually do backports--anybody
know if this is the case, or do we have to go 'outside' now, and get the
MySQL repository to use, for the

creating vectors from data-frames
I am having a problem with creating a vector from a rows or columns, I
searched around and found as.vector(x), but it does not seem to do what it
says it does
I have included an example below, of doing what would seem to be the method
required to create a vector, but instead it creates a one row data frame.
What is required to actually create a vector.
Many thanks

LLVM buildmaster is back to work now but two builders remain OFF
Hello everyone,
LLVM buildmaster is back to work.
Two slaves remain off for now as they produce a lot of warnings and their
log files are way too big.
The next builds have full logs available. Hope this helps to fix this issue:

[LLVMdev] calling conventions and inlining
Are you suggesting that we have "always_inline" and "never_inline"
keywoards that can be attributed to functions? If so, why do you want
this level of control? What's wrong with the current inlining pass?
Reid.

end user gui
I've reviewed the wiki and other resources and haven't been able to locate a
tool which would allow an end user to make changes to their service. The
features and end-user might want to change is fairly limited (call fwd,
number of rings, etc). This might require real-time. Thanks in advance.

Cisco ATA & Call Waiting
I currently have 2 Cisco 7960's and 2 ATA 186's connected to asterisk. The 7960's work just fine for call waiting, but the ATA's dont. I cant seem to get the ATA's to use the call waiting feature, the calls just go straight to voicemail instead of prompting with the usual tone.
Please help

On getting notify-send to work
The program ``wall?? used by NUT to put notifications in front of the
users is now well past it's best-before date. It has not been
internationalized, does not support accented letters or non-latin
characters, and is ignored by popular desktop environments such as Gnome
and KDE. It's apparent replacement, notify-send, gives the impression
that it has never been tested in any other

dovecot 0.99.14 and imaps (SSL) "hangs"
Hello,
I just decided to try dovecot again after a long pause, and I must say
that I am very impressed with the speed and resource usage, even when
running with UNIX mailboxes.
However, I have a problem with SSL. Every two minutes the connection is
frozen, and the client has to reconnect after it times out waiting for
a response from the server.
My IMAP client fetches all headers, and then

hermite and Bezier splines
Does anyone know how to do hermite or
Bezier splines in R? I can find Matlab routines, but really need to
implement them in R. Failing that I'd be interested in other
conformal splines. I need to smooth and interpolate animal tracking data.
