Now i get the message Phone unprovisioned and in TFTP-Log i find the following line: 07.03.2005 19:58 :Timeout error sending P0S3-07-3-00.bin to 192.168.0.83, 0 bytes So i think it now wants to load the file P0S3-07-3-00.bin. Cisco 7960 + SIP
Hello all, I know this isn't strictly Asterisk, but I'm sure that there are more people here using the Cisco 7960 w/ SIP, so I thought I'd post here. I've just bought a Cisco 7960 phone to use with Asterisk. It came with the CallManager image on it. I've got the 4.4 SIP images (P0S3-04-4-00). If I put "P0S3-04-4-00" in the OS79XX.TXT file, the phone downloads this

Thanks again for your help. Oliver

Cisco 7960 firmware upgrade promblems
I have a second-hand 7960 which I am attempting to upgrade to use a SIP image. The phone currently has a firmware release which doesn't seem to be listed in Cisco docs - P003AM30. On reboot, it finds the tftp server and requests the firmware image listed in OX79XX.txt correctly, displaying "Upgrading Software" on the screen. It then continues to re-request the same image from the

Upgrade cisco SIP phone 7940
Hi All, My current 7940 phones use P0S3-06-3-00. I'd like to upgrade them so they're not massively out of date. I found a page at http://www.voip-info.org/wiki-Asterisk+phone+cisco+79xx that gives some info, and using the cisco links there have tried to upgrade. According to the procedures, I should be able to upgrade, but once the phones loaded and reboots it says it downgrades

I understand that I need to update the phone for it to support SIP, so I configured the phone with an IP address and pointed it at my tftp server. When I reboot the phone I am currently getting "TFTP File Not Found SEPDefault.cnf" in the

Cisco 7960 upgrades
Hi, I got a problem of having to upgrade 35 Cisco 7960 phones from default firmware of 3.1 to 7.5. The problem I get is that when trying to upgrade I see on the tftplog that it can't seem to find the file (8 character issue). So I renamed the files to suit what is supposed to be in them. I am trying incremental upgrades from 3.1 -> 5.3 -> 7.5, with no luck. It goes to
