Asterisk Not hanging up DS0 when number called is busy.
I have a PRI that if you dial a number that is busy, the channel does
not hang up, it then sends "h|1"to the phone company which will then

I am running stable CVS-v1-0-01/20/05-02:45:17. I have placed the
important bit from the extension and sip configs below. Simplest

Asterisk / PRI and Outbound Overlap Dialing
I am trying to setup Asterisk to act like a PBX connected via a PRI gateway
to a voice netowrk where Asterisk is doing outbound
overlap dialing for calls that terminate via that PRI. AFter researching
through the archives and online dcocs, I thought I had
everyting setup right, dialplan configured for '_X!' and the
'overlapdial=yes' in the chan_dahdi.conf file, but when I try and

Problem dialing certain numbers with an E1 PRI
I have a server running Asterisk 1.4.14, Zaptel 1.4.6, Libpri-1.4.2 on
a CentOS 5 server. The server has a single TE110 card connected to a
provider called Alestra in Monterrey, Mexico. Since we installed
everything we have been having problems dialing certain numbers, those
numbers always fail when dialed from Asterisk but if you dial from your
cell phone they always go through. I once has a

ZAP/PRI Error: channel reported in use
I have a system with two 4 port T1 cards, with 5 PRI's configured. Each
PRI is configured as an individual PRI and belongs to it's own group
(groups 1-5)
This system is handling roll-over from another system, where any error in
processing the call on that system results in it being sent here. This
mainly results in all calls resulting in a busy being sent for retry
here. I then

Busy detect on pri channel?
Did anybody figure out how to make dial detect a busy on a zaptel channel on a
pri interface when using overlap dialing? According to the documentation dial
should return to priority n+101, if the called party is found to be busy. I can
see a DISCONNECT message with "user busy" coming from the network when I turn on
pri debugging, but the dial application does not seem to notice.

Asterisk DIAL() premature timeout on a PRI trunk to legacy PBX
An Asterisk extension calls an Alcatel extension via a
PRI link which rings 4 times for about 10-15 seconds
and then drops.
So if the Alcatel user doesn't answer within 10-15
seconds the call is aborted.
(A timeout is *not* specified in the Asterisk Dial
command.)
It seems however that either Asterisk or Alcatel drop
the call prematurely (it's more likely to be on the
Asterisk side).

PRI channel hangs after BUSY
I have an odd problem between a Nortel BCM and Asterisk (1.2.4) Zaptel (
1.2.3).
Calls all appear to be working fine, however, when someone originates a call
from the PBX and the Switch returns a 486 (Busy) the PRI channel hangs in a
busy state indefinitely. Subsequent to this, the PBX side shows the
channels as IDLE and apparently attempts to route calls to the siezed/BUSY
channels.

TDM400P/TDM22B dialing issue
First time installing Asterisk and I have a strange problem with my

dial a 1 before dialing a number outside my calling area. This happens for
any of the calls that I try

Can't dial SIP<->EuroISDN (HFC-S based PCI ISDN card): Unable to create channel of type 'Zap'
Hi,
I'm trying to set up an Asterisk pbx based on a Fedora Core 1 Linux box
(customized kernel version 2.4.24). I want calls from my SIP soft-phones
to simply be dumped onto the PSTN line via a BRI (EuroISDN). I have a cheap
HFC-S based PCI ISDN card connected to the NT1+ interface, so I need zaphfc.
I've read everything I've found at www.voip-info.org, then I've downloaded
