NT4 migration errors
Hi I've setup samba 3.0.14 with the latest idealx scripts on FC3. Now I have a test lab to migrate from NT4 box which different than the standalone PDC I have running. Here's the order I used and my ldap and samba configs are clean as far as I can tell since I do get a partial migration. When using 'net rpc vampire -S nt4 -W DOMAIN' it populates the groups from NT4 and shows the

Incoming calls work and the phone rings and can be answered no problems, (although I wouldn't mind being able to adjust the ring but

TDM400P Newbie configuration hell :-)
Sorry to post such a newb set of questions but I have been hammering about trying to get Asterisk running on FC2 machine reading everything available (I think that is what stuffed me, shouldn't have read it all :-) ). Config FC2 running Asterisk 1.0.0, with the h323 compiled in and installed correctly. Amazingly enough I have everything compiled correctly and installed. I am running a

delay before dial on TDM04B - continued
I tried adding wwww to my dial string... It appears to not made any differnece. I see by watching show channels that the w's are there in the dial. I have this box connected to bell south down in georgia. I have an identical box connected in indiana. The box in indiana works fine when dialing out. When in GA dialout is getting "you must first dial a 1 to place this call". show

Digium TDM400P vs Sangoma A200 for 2 x FXO
Evening all. I'm looking at building an Asterisk system for one of the projects of the Charity where I'm the SysAdmin. The project has two analogue phone lines - BT Featureline Compact, we're in the UK - that I'd like Asterisk to handle. My current quandary is which FXO interface to use. I've been looking at the Digium TDM400P and Sangoma A200, which are similar prices for

Wildcard TE405P and TDM400 - TDM not working
Im having a problem getting the 2 cards working together. I added the TDM with 3 FXO and 1 FXS board. The TE405p is working fine. THe TDM registers and identifies the FXO's and FXS but cant get them to go off hook. I hope someone can help. Asterisk seems to THINK its dialing it sends manager status as dialing, and it just sits there with no tones, on the phone dialing out. If I dial,

Stability of Asterisk with 2 x TDM400P cards (6 analogue lines)
I would like to hear from anyone good or bad as what their experience has been in recent times with STABILITY of current builds of Asterisk and drivers for TDM400P. The sort of configuration is: 6 incoming POTS lines. ie. 2 TDM400P cards. I am not concerned with: price points, or the advantages or disadvantages of using POTS vs ISDN technology, but simply RELIABILITY & stability of the

Zap & ANSWER the Call
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi, I'm using a TDM400 with one FXS and one FXO module (developer kit) and I've been testing termination from SIP phones to PSTN and it works fine, but asterisk accounting is doing something strange (for me). Echo on Zaptel FXO :(
Hi All, I've got an MD3200 modem which is working as a Zaptel FXO interface for Asterisk (X100P clone I believe). It seems to work, but on incoming or outgoing calls I can hear the other party ok but when I speak, I hear my voice echo back at me (quite quietly but it's distracting!) on everything I say. The other party doesn't seem to hear the echo - they just say I sound a bit quiet.

Do I need a ring capacitor to use TDM400P cards in UK
Hello I have played about with a TDM400 card and plugged in some standard analog phones. I am using the card in FXS mode - for analog extensions. I did notice that one of my phones did not ring and I wondered why. I later read in Paul Mahler's book VoIP Telephony with Asterisk that in his section on the TDM400 on page 127 he says "In the UK, you may need an adapter that provides a
