Bristuff ZapHFC and Loosing D-Channel
Using the latest(?) bristuff (Asterisk 1.0.4-BRIstuffed-0.2.0-RC3a) I have problems with loosing the D-channel. Most of the time, after the message "PRI D-channel down" it only takes a second or so to come back up, noted by the message "PRI D-channel up" However, today most of the time the D-channel stays down. Calls come in, but can't be answered. Does anyone know

how to debug frame slips?
Hi, I'm running into issues receiving faxes which, from what I have read, may be caused by frame slips. While I can find many posts saying to investigate it, I can't find any that describe *how* to debug the problem. Tried searching this list as well to no avail. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated. FYI, I'm running wbel, AMP 1.04, spandsp 2pre4. Faxing to a pstn on a

florz patch for bristuff breaks compile on x86_64?
After upgrading a CentOS 3.x box to CentOS 4.1 (both x86_64 with an Athlon64) I also wanted to get the latest bristuff. Unfortunately bristuff without florz causes the box to kernel panic within hours (console will complain about bad frame received something). It seems however that the florz patch will not work for x86_64 arch. Bristuff -0.2.0-RC8j compiles fine without the florz patch, but

Bristuff-0.3.0-PRE-1q and & florz patch compile trouble
Again trouble compiling bristuff-0.3.0-PRE-1q with the florz patch on a x86_64 box (I guess nobody is using x86_64 platform or is able to fix this themselves?) First of all when bristuff is downloaded and compile is started it appears that the bristuff Makefiles are badly broken. The asterisk Makefiles all do see to find the kernel sources on a RHEL4 box in the proper directory, the pure

zaptel, bristuff zaphfc, and florz question
Hi, We've been using zaphfc single ISDN cards as cheap Zaptel timing sources for our Asterisk boxes for a long time, and in the asterisk 1.0.x series, had zero problems doing so. I now have some boxes with Zaptel 1.2.x (with a mixture of 1.0.x asterisk and 1.2.x asterisk), and this setup no-longer seems stable - By plugging or unplugging the ISDN cable, and sometimes just randomly the card

spandsp and app_rxfax (alternative topic: t38modem)
Dear gods of the PBX (flattery works here, right?) - I've been pulling my hair out trying to get Asterisk to receive and decode a fax using spandsp and app_rxfax. It seems like it should be working. The fax machine on the other end connects and Asterisk reports a fax coming in. But when it's done all I have is a 2 or 3 KB TIF (see attachment). The console activity looks completely

Bristuff-0.2.0-RC5 florz patched weird error and no outgoing calls?
I applied the florz patch but my problems remain. Now I get all sorts of weird errors on the console and I cannot make outgoing calls. Incoming calls work as expected. I am using a single HFC-S card with BRI. Any clue what these errors below are? Corrupt CDR records in Asterisk 1.2.x
I have a problem with CDR recording in Asterisk 1.2.x. This is the situation: An Asterisk 1.2.0 (BRIstuffed-0.3.0-PRE-1 with florz) machine with a single HFC-S ISDN BRI card. I log the call records to both the Master.csv and MySQL. The problem is that when an incoming call from the ISDN line is logged to the CDR, the "src" and the "clid" field show up as something like

I865, HFC-S etc.
Hi, I'am having some problems with new mainboards and 3xHFC-S cards. The the first problem was with interrupts, I mean if HFC-S card was using interrupt i.e. 21 or higher - it didn't work. Solved by disabling APIC. However, still the driver behaves a little bit strange. If card 0 & 1 is TE and 2 is NT, TE works fine, but NT is not working at all. If card 0 is NT and 1 & 2 TE - all

ISDN D-channel disconnects for a minute every 5 minutes
I have a problem with Asterisk-bristuffed using a zaphfc card. I am located in the Netherlands, so I have an ISDN line from KPN. When I start Asterisk, and plug in the ISDN line, everything works perfectly for about 5 minutes. And then the ISDN line is down for 1 minute, and after that minute, the line comes back up and works for another 5 minutes. Every time the line goes down I get the error

zaphfc syslog flooding
Hi, my zaphfc is flooding my syslog with two messages (even without asterisk running). Is this "normal"?: -------------------------------------------------- zaphfc: bchan rx fifo not enough bytes to receive! (z1=1360, z2=1353, wanted 8 got 7), probably a buffer overrun. zaphfc: dropped audio (z1=2712, z2=2695, wanted 8 got 17, dropped 9). With Asterisk running (asterisk -vvvvvgc)

Problem with many files in rsync server directory ?
Hi all, I've been running rsync successfully from cron jobs for the last six months across a local network. The cron jobs are very simple. They run rsync on a client machine, connect to an rsync server on a server machine (no ssh or rsh involved), and copy files from the server to the client. That's all. There are several jobs, one for each directory on the server, and between them

agent with queues remain unavailable during transferred call
Hi, I'm seeing something I'd like suggestions on: I have a queue with agents that log in using agentcallbacklogin. The extension that is logged in with is a Local channel. Now, if a call comes in to the queue and is handled by an agent (in our case using Cisco 7960 SIP phones) and transferred (attended) to another extension, the agent remains unavailable during the remains of the call.

Problems with zaptel and HFC-S PCI card
Hi list, Now that I've got my Asterisk server to recognize my HFC-PCI card, I've run into some serious problems. The first thing I noticed was this message that would show up every five seconds on the CLI: Dec 27 15:46:42 WARNING[12484]: chan_zap.c:2512 pri_find_dchan: No D-channels available! Using Primary channel 3 as D-channel anyway! == Primary D-Channel on span 1 down

1.0.2-BRIstuffed-0.2.0-RC2b and '*8' calls dropping
I'm using Asterisk 1.0.2-BRIstuffed-0.2.0-RC2b - when anyone picks up a call with '*8' - the call will drop after about 20 or so seconds. Is this a general problem with Asterisk 1.0.2? As this is the latest release that it appears Klaus-Peter Junghanns has for public consumption - is there anything I can patch for just this problem - or has Klaus-Peter Junghanns (or anyone else) been
