Callgroup with bristuff ISDN?
Hi list! I'm still trying to figure out about the groups in asterisk. If I understand correctly, if you assign a certain group number and you assign the same call group number to a sip device the device will reing even though you did not specifically specify it in extension.conf? How will this work for ISDN BRI/PRI? I don't want some extensions to get all calls from the BRI/PRI, just

callgroup and pickupgroup
Hi, I asked a time ago what were callgroup and pickup group used for. I have done some proofs and all, and I'm not sure if I have pick the idea up well!! That's what I understand: For example: group=1 callgroup =2 and pickupgroup=2 and my phone is a membership of the group 1. that's mean that when a phone that belong to group 2 is ringing, I'll be able to answer this call dialing

Asterisk does not persist callgroup and pickgroup configuration.
Greetings. I'm running asterisk here (elastix) and I have a few extensions configured in it. I have here two different callgroup/pickgroup where the extensions are configured in, but it doesn't work when I try do pickup a call. Looking the config file (sip_additional.conf) I see they are not configured with callgroup/pickgroup, the fields are empty. Manually inserting callgroup/pickgroup

Zap callgroup/pickupgroup question
I'm trying to set up asterisk so any phone connected to channel 1-16 of my Adit600 channel bank can pick up a call coming in on channel 24. I do not wish to ring any of the 16 channels on an incoming call -- this is strictly so I can pick up the line if I see it ringing and wish to answer at work. I have channel 24 in call group 3, and channels 1-16 in pickup groups 1 and 3. However

Single ringer phone for incoming calls, that anyone can answer
Hi list, Does anyone have any advice on the following: Incoming calls to our office come in on a SIP trunk. Since all our offices/desks are in close proximity, we would like just a single phone to ring when a call comes in instead of ringing every person's phone. Currently we've got this working by having all the phones in a callgroup/pickupgroup and incoming calls ring the

Problems with pickupgroup/callgroup with Asterisk 1.8.4.2
I have problems using the call pickup under Asterisk 1.8.4.2. I have another Asterisk with 1.6 - and it is working fine with the same settings. I have setup the same callgroup and pickupgroup for all extensions in sip.conf - just to make things simple for testing. The sequence *8 seems to be completely ignored by Asterisk - the client shows "Call answered" when dialing *8 while the

Single ringer phone for incoming calls, that every one can answer
Setting up pick/callgroups really tightly is the way to go - one of our techs here does that all the time for clients. Call pickup and SIP phones
Hi List, I have two Cisco ATA, one of them with two phones attached, and the other with just one phone. The ATA with two phones is behind a NAT, and Asterisk and the other ATA have public IP addresses. I can place and receive and blind transfer calls between them all. (Sometimes I loose registration from the ATA behind the NAT, but I think I have to upgrade to the latest firmware in the ATA) Now

Using callgroups (was: Taking a call for someone elses extensionfrom my extension)
Callgroups/pickupgroups are allocated per channel, not in the dialplan. sip.conf and zapata.conf are the two files you're interested in. -wade ---- Original Message ---- From: wipeout@linuxmail.org To: asterisk-users@lists.digium.com, Subject: RE: [Asterisk-Users] Using callgroups (was: Taking a call for someone elses extensionfrom my extension) Date: Sun, 20 Apr 2003 16:39:15 +0000

SIP Callgroups
Hi all, at time i am trying to get a better idea of callgroups and pickupgroups (especially within the SIP Channel) A Pickupgroup is relative clear - everyone in the same pickupgroup may pickup a call And a callgroup does what ? - The same ? I thought that a callgroup would act like the ZAP groups - so that you then can dial SIP/g1 - and every SIP Client which is in the callgroup 1 does then

Remote Call Pickup Problem
Hello all, I'm trying to get "remote call pickup" (*8) working and I'm running into a bit of a problem. First the machine specs. This is a P4 2.66ghz w/ 512meg of RAM. I downloaded the CVS of asterisk on 04-16-2004, but I'll probably try to upgrade to the latest tomorrow. The machine has a T100P card and we are using channels 1-8 for voice, and 13-24 for data. The

Pickup Group in VPB
HI All I've tried to do Call pickup /pickup group using VPB channel. I configure the same way as in zapata.conf ( callgroup=1 pickupgroup=1). The result is, the phone can only be picked up by other SIP phone under the same group. If we called that SIP phone and tried to pick up using VPB channel, it cannot pick up the call. Is anyone has the solution? Thanks.
