chan_capi, Eicon Diva server BRI, kernel 2.6?
Hi list,
Does chan_capi work with kernel 2.6? The Eicon Diva server card loads
fine judging from /var/log/messages but Asterisk gives an error when
trying to load the chan_capi module. I'm using chan_capi-0.3.5,
zaptel-1.0.0, libpri-1.0.0 and asterisk-1.0.0 on a Fedora box with
kernel 2.6.8-1.584. Zaptel and ilbpri work fine as does *. I have seen a

Hello all,

Diva Server card using using the driver from linux kernel both 2.6.10
and 2.6.12 (vanilla versions).
I have a (really two) producci?n system(s) running chan_capi in another
identical Eicon Card using kernel 2.4.27 and the Diva Server drivers

Distorted audio over Eicon Diva Server BRI
We are experiencing slightly distorted audio with playing of recordings on
our Asterisk server when the call comes in over our Eicon Diva Server BRI
card. An example is an incoming call to IVR and playing some of the standard
Asterisk voice prompts. Note that there is no audio problem with internal
access to the same recording. Neither is there a problem with calls not
involving the playing of

chan_capi & Eicon Diva problem
Hello,
I have an issue getting the chan_capi module to load in asterisk cvs
from today. Plain 2.4.20 kernel with melware patches for the Eicon Diva
Server Bri card.
I load the modules with: modprobe -v divas divacapi
I load the firmware with: divactrl load -c 1 -f ETSI -vd6
Output in /var/log/messages is:

struggling with Diva 4BRI and chan_capi
Hi,
I am trying to configure a Diva Server 4BRI to work with chan_capi. Here
are the steps that I took:
- compiled fresh kernel with new-style CAPI support: i4l_divas_1.2
- got the divactrl_1.2 utilities, configured the card startup scripts,
- rebooted, card firmware loaded properly, "capiinfo" displays detailed
info on 4 controllers, however there is an error message:

Compilation problem chan_capi and Eicon Diva 4Bri
Hi *,
I want to integrate the Eicon Diva 4Bri Card to Asterisk.
Eicon drivers and capi is installed. I use the latest dev version from
eicon compiled and installed for my fedora 2 system.
I found the chan_capi for asterisk from www.junghanns.net. Also loaded
the patch and applied to the chan_capi source tree.
I changed the Makefile to include the capi20.h from eicon:

Diva Server, chan_capi and tone detection
Hi all,
I have a Diva Server V-BRI-2 card, which support, as written in reference
guide:
Extended tone processing (human talker detection, generation and detection
of country-specific tones)
I would like to detect human speech and fax tone with asterisk. I think that
the diva card transmit a DTMF code when detecting voice, but chan_capi
doesn't receive this DTMF code. I verbose it

chan_capi compile problem
Hi all,
I?m using * with a Suse 8.1 (kernel 2.4.19-4GB). My hardware are a Eicon
Diva 2.01 PCI and a Eicon Diva Server 4BRI; I have installed the drivers
wich came with the distribution using the distro installer (yast2). I?m
experiencing problems with outgoing calls so I?ll try with chan_capi instead
of chan_modem.
The point is that I?m having problems with the compilation:

chan_capi and Eicon Diva
I am trying to use chan_capi with an Eicon Diva Server BRI.
I installed the Eicon drivers from source including CAPU and
I can use the board correcly using tty_test and minicom over /dev/ttyds01
or /dev/ttyds01.
I need to insmod capi ( why? it is not written anywhere) and then
capiinfo shows me all board parameters, but I have to break it otherwise
capiinfo doesn't exit at all, but I don't

Improve voice quality on Asterisk + chan_capi + DIVA BRI
Hello everyone!
I've got a Eicon Diva Server BRI card into my "*" box working just fine,
but I wander if there's anything I can do to improve voice quality for
my operators. I'm thinking something along the lines of "auto gain" and
sudden noise suppression (like when you hit a fax machine or the other
party accidently touches the dial pad on the phone).

chan_capi patch for the new cvs HEAD
I've patched the chan_capi to let it compile under the new CVS head
Give it a try please
You have to start from the original chan_capi
http://www.junghanns.net/asterisk/downloads/chan_capi.0.3.5.tar.gz
and then apply the patch
http://www.c-net.it/chan_capi.diff.bz2
it also includes the fax patch from Frank Sautter
Let me know please

I usually use "/usr/lib/divas/divactrl dchannel -c 1" to test line

chan_capi and G711u
Hello all,
I've got an AVM Fritz!Card PCI that I'm using with Asterisk under
chan_capi (0.3.5)
Phones on our internal network all use g711u. I'm aware the chan_capi
uses g711a by default.
To reduce the need for transcoding, I decided to make everything use
the same codec.
First I changed all the phones (Cisco models 7905G, 7940G and ATA 186
all running SIP) to g711a, but it seemed

Incomming calls on Eicon Diva 4BRI Card
Currently we have problems with our asterisk server connect with an
Eicon Diva 4BRI Card to a PBX. Asterisk is running in version 1.0.0 on
RedHat Enterprise Linux 3AS with kernel 2.4.21-4.EL.
The Diva server is running in version 7.5
Can someone help us in reolving the errors with incoming calls?
When we try to call to an extension we get these messages in the CLI:

Failing to compile chan_capi
I've got a brand new Eicon Diva Server BRI card and I want to configure
it with Asterisk. I managed to get asterisk and zaptel to compile and
install, I've compiled and installed the drivers for the Diva card and
now I need to compile and install the chan_driver for chan_capi.
Unfortunately this fails miserably. I get the following messages:

[Sorta OT] Eicon DIVA with asterisk@home
Hi;
I've got an AAH installation where a customer wants to install an active
Eicon DIVA BRI card. AAH is built on Centos 3.5 which is currently at
kernel 2.4.21.37. Support for Eicon active cards is built-in.
I've debugged and run the A@H install-Eicondiva script but when I try to
run divactrl load -c 1 -f ETSI -Debug I get a response :
A: can't get card type for DIVA adapter
