call waiting notification and cisco 7960 phone
This is probably better suited to a cisco forum, but thought i'd drop it in here also. Using a 7960 with *, and have a very specific need. If the end user is currently on a call on the 7960, and a new call comes in, i need the phone to: show a visual indicator of the call (pref flash the call light) emit a ringing tone *NOT* play a call waiting beep inline on the current call. currently

asterisk, callerid name and cisco 2600
Doe anyone have Caller ID name working on incoming calls with the following setup: cisco 2611XM recieving calls on a PRI. cisco talks SIP to the asterisk box. Phones (cisco 7940s) talk SIP to asterisk. I currently have verified the cisco router is receiving caller ID name from the ILEC, and it appears to be sending it to the asterisk. But, it looks like it comes in after the call, and *

FW: Problems with two trunks
Update on this: I found that by changing insecure = very to insecure = invite, adding the second trunk no longer stopped calls working. I've read the documentation on this switch and still don't see how it applies/is meant to get used. Anyway, with this change in place, the following may help: asterisk*CLI> sip show registry Host Username

Hi, I am attempting to setup an asterisk server, current specs: CentOS release 5 (Final) Asterisk 1.4.11 Asterisk-gui checked out from SVN last week I started with a fairly basic setup involving one VOIP provider who provided one dial in number, and a couple of handsets. Config files are below. It was pretty much totally built by Asterisk-gui, except for the fact I had to add

menu.c32 empty label?
The attached config works, but gives 2 error messages that get covered up by the GUI screen so fast I cannot read them. I think they are probably about having 'LABEL' with nothing after it. I was trying to follow the example in menu.doc but somehow I'm doing it wrong. Please consider helping me figure out how to get the same resulting GUI menu without any error messages. I am using

extlinux issue
Trying again since the mailing list says I have a 'suspiscous header'. I have been told to get linux running on two HP DL360G4p machines (ancient rackmount xeon stuff). Unfortunately, while isolinux boots fine from CDROM, and extlinux can boot a USB stick, I cannot get extlinux to boot from the CCISS hard disks (two disks in hardware raid 1 configuration). I searched on google a lot,

problems booting isolinux
Hello List, I have used isolinux for years without problems. Recently I decided to upgrade from 3.09 to 3.11. Every CD I create can be read on my Vectra (Pentium 3) and all other Pentium 3 boxes, but all my Pentium 4 boxes will not boot (they ignore the CD and boot from hard disk). The bochs VM will boot the CDs fine just like the Pentium 3 machines. I have tried 3.09 (which worked

does Jitter calculation in chan_iax2.c work???
Hi, We are trying to get the jitter of a channel for iax channels. iax2 show netstats The above command always shows zero value for jitter. (Actually, only rtt and kpkts are non-zero). The behaviour is the same even for cross-continental calls. Is this a bug in the implementation or a configuration problem?. Thanks, Vijay & Ashish PS:We have enabled jitterbuffer at both ends.
