R2/MFC Mexico FREE calls to test chan_unicall
Hi guys, I have one E1 with 30 channels in Mexico City, I guess that if i can fill this 30 channels with REAL traffic for 2 or 3 days I can find new bugs on chan_unicall or I can see how stable it can be. Im using R2/MFC with chan_unicall the patch that Steve Underwood wrote. I will let anyone make FREE LOCAL calls to Mexico City till saturday or maybe until monday to see how stable this can

^5 problem with chan_unicall.c for Asterisk
Hi Kaws, I may need to add some notes; 1. The default .rpm version of libtiff in RH9 does not seem to contain some functional entries required for libunicall / libmfcr2. Therefore when compiling libunicall "unresolved references....." will happen. To solve this, I needed to recompile libtiff from the tarball. When installing libtiff, the default directories will be under

chan_unicall and /dev/zap/channel
Hello again :-( I have a problem with chan_unicall. If I have two simultaneous incoming or outgoing calls, they sound broken because cpu load goes to 99%. Also with one call, the cpu load goes to 99%. Seems like device /dev/zap/channel is busy after 5 or 10 seconds , and chan_unicall does not write to this. strace with asterisk-1.0.7, zaptel-1.0.7, kernel-2.6.10 ================================

Unicall + MFC/R2 line dropped immediately after connect
Hi, I am trying to set up an E1 line with CAS signaling using available unicall patches with libmfcr2 implementation. Inbound calls works well, I am able to get DNIS and ANI from incoming call, but I am still not able to make an outbound call with our local carrier. After tweaking of protocolvariant parameter in unicall.conf I was able to find proper values for inbound and outbound calls, but

Unicall MFC/R2 B3,B4 and clear back
Hi All, I have an R2 installation still undergoing testings, during the test I notice that the Unicall always respond B6 to a II-1 (from a forward switch). Except, for a DNIS that can't be found in the dial plan, in this case it respond with B5. My real problem is, the call will be terminate on a Cisco 7206 with ISDN/PRI thru SIP. If the Called number is busy or the Cisco 7206 is busy or

chan_unicall and dtmf problem
Hi, I have successfully installed libunicall and mfcr2 in Venezuelan variant. We are able to receive, make calls without any problems. When we place a call from a snom sip phone through chan_unicall and press a dtmf (either using info, rfc2833 or inband) Asterisk seems to get the order of playing dtmf but a garbage is heard at the other side. I have been trying to narrow down the problem on

High CPU in Asterisk, chan_unicall and dtmf
Hi, I have installed chan_unicall for MFCR2 on Asterisk 1.0.7, 1.0.5 and 1.0.4. - 1.0.7 does not send dtmf properly through unicall channels from sip snom phones on any mode (rfc2833, info, inband) - 1.0.5 and 1.0.4 are able to send correctly the dtmf tones when configured to INFO in sip.conf. Could this be a problem inside 1.0.7 when paired with libunicall ? Either version I am using, the

I am in the middle of installing chan_unicall.c and channels_Makefile.patch in my channels directory as instructed at the bottom of this doc/site: http://soft-switch.org/unicall/installing-mfcr2.html. I am at lost 'coz I don't know where is my channel directory is 'til someone told me that it is where all my chan_xx.so resides, so I copied them to this directory. Next, I have to issue

email etiquette (was: Re: Unicall MFC problems in 0.0.3+asterisk 1.2)
It's bad enough that people insert long config/log files/dumps into messages to this list, though it's convenient. But when people include the entire redundant content in a quote in reply, it's really a waste. The digest messages are hard enough to navigate, even with an intro index, before making 95% of their content a redundant quoted dump. I know we've all got lots of bandwidth

My latest MFC/R2 update with asterisk-1.4.17
Hi all, I still haven't seen my first post (cry for help) so I'm not sure if these are going through or not ... I've played with the box all day today ... I got it to quit seg faulting finally by playing with the config files. Currently I have 4 spans configured for a Digium TE420B (With Octastic DSP) Here is my zaptel.conf: (I know the device connected to spans 1-3 are providing
