Lucent and ISDN-PRI
Hi Everyone,
So I have been further exploring the integration of our asterisk server and
our lucent definity g3si system. I took the suggestion of setting up an
isdn-pri line added the two way tie trunk and the signalling group, but
can't seem to get the PRI signalling working on the asterisk correctly. I've
set pri type to network on the lucent, and pri_cpe in zapata on the
asterisk, but

Umlaut over I on Definity display
I've successfully integrated * to a Definity G3SI PBX via PRI. On calls
from the * box to a Definity display telephone a umlaut over an I appears at
the beginning of the caller name on the Definity display. Anyone seen this
before?
Thanks... Bud

Definity PBX with a T100P & TN767E
Hey everybody,
I'm looking for some information that I'm not finding by searching the
2004 Asterisk archives.
I'm currently playing with a Digium T100P card and 2 Grandstream phones,
things are working well. I wanted to move on to linking our Definity
G3R Rev 8.2 to the T100P. Everything that I've read so far shows that
you need a TN464 to accomplish this. We have a TN767E

Asterisk Integration with Lucent Definity g3 si
We have had quite a bit of success with our T100P and TE410P cards
interfacing to Nortel Meridian PBXes and also to a Livingston Portmaster 3
using ESF/B8ZS and various combinations of E&M wink and ISDN PRI (usually in
5ESS mode).
In the near future, I may also need to interface to a Definity via a T1. I
was planning to use PRI--is that an option for you on your switch?

Asterisk Integration with Lucent Definity g3si
Hi everyone,
We have been working with Asterisk for a while now and would really
like to expand its capabilities by fully integrating it with our Definity
g3si and are wondering about other peoples experiences with similar setups.
Thus far we have only been able to achieve a partial 1 way integration, but
ultimately would love to route inbound voip calls to the asterisk out of the
lucent.

Does Asterisk support T1 E&M Wink/Wink voice channels on any Digium/Sangoma hardware?
Hi,
Did anyone manage to connect either Digium or Sangoma T1 card to any other
PBX/gateway using T1 E&M Wink/Wink signaling? I'm trying to connect Avaya
Definity to an Asterisk box with T100P and so far no luck. (I know I can do
so with ISDN PRI, but need an additional ISDN processor card for Definity.)
I tried to connect Definity to Cisco 3640 CCME (call manager express) to
test the link

Any small colleges/universities using PBX or Voicemail?
What an ACTIVE newsgroup!
I'm in the early stages of researching Asterisk. My current environment
is a small college (~1000 sets/~400 student sets), Avaya Definity
G3si/Seimens Rolm Phonemail. As you can imagine, the maintenance,
licensing, and equipment costs are HEFTY.
So.. are there any small colleges/universities using PBX or Voicemail?
If so, I'd be interested in your migration

dual TE410, both span 3 is broken
This afternoon I finally figured out more with regarding to a strange
clock-slip problem we have on our asterisk box.
We have two TE410s, in E1 mode:
TE410P version c01a009b
They have their own interrupts:
66: 781648298 783747388 IO-APIC-level t4xxp
233: 253890977 1311504670 IO-APIC-level t4xxp
They have their full 31 channels:

AT&T T1 Cable Needed!
Hi,
I just got a T1 interface for a AT&T (became Lucent) System75 (uses same
cards as Definity). I would take a crack at making a cable but can't
determine the pinout for a cable and it is not apparent from the board.
Asking you guys makes sense as one of you may have one of these systems. The
cable has a amphenol male D50 connector on one end and probably a rj45 on
the other. I also

Does Asterisk support T1 E&M Wink/Wink voicechannels on any Digium/Sangoma hardware?
I could only get *ANI*DNIS* working one way and that was setting my
signalling type on the Asterisk side to 'featd' The Definity won't send
*ANI*DNIS* information back to the asterisk as far as I can tell.
Other than that, I've been running it with wink/wink E&M for a while
now. TN464 circuit pack on the definity side, te110p on the asterisk
side. Just a crossover cable

How to read IRQs and timing slips values
Hi,
On a Asterisk 1.8.12 system working OK for months (>100k calls proceed),

T1 PRI shows yellow/red alarm
We are running Asterisk version 1.4.23-1, libpri-1.4.9 and
zaptel-1.4.12.1 and two Digium TE220Ps. Debugs are set to 10.
We have a T1 PRI connected to the telco. Over the last 4-5 days, we
have getting Yellow/Red alarms coming from the T1 PRI. The other two
ports in use are connected to internal test switches (Avaya
Legend/Avaya Definity), and are not showing any errors.

T1 PRI
I have a T1 PRI from the telco and have been trying to get it to work
with the wildcard T400P.
I know framing and coding is esf and b8zs. what else should I be
putting into the zaptel.conf and zapata.conf.

D-Channel on span 1 up/down + frame slips with zaptelBRI
I have installed two HFC PCI A-cards running zaphfc from bristuff-0.0.2,
which seems to work quite fine, but I continously receive the messages
"D-Channel on span 1 up" followed by "D-Channel on span 1 down" with a few
seconds interval. Why is that? Bri intense debug log and configuration
files below.
I don't need ztdummy or zaprtc, do I? I get some frame slips as well,

Zap Clocking - Frame Slips - tdm400p wcfxo zttest cpu spikes spandsp
I've made some modifications to zttest in order to use
it as a frame clock accuracy tester / slip detector.
I'm not certain if that was it's original purpose, but it
seems that a lot of folks try to use it that way.
The result is something that I'm calling ztclock for now
to help avoid confusion.
I'm including the source at the end of this post. You

Avaya/Lucent Definity -> Asterisk interop question
Calling all Definity admins,
Got a few questions about Definity -> Asterisk interoperability.
1) What are the options for integration? Can I hand off extensions from the
Definity and vice versa?
2) Anybody have any working configs they would like to post?
I've found and read the legacy integration on the wiki about the two
systems. I've also googled and found a few threads that were

McLeod Integrated T1 - no PRI?
Hello everyone,
We have recently turned up a new T1 from McLeod (Midwestern CLEC). It
is configured like so:
/etc/zaptel.conf:
loadzone=us
defaultzone=us
span=1,0,0,esf,b8zs ;(also tried 1,1,0,esf,b8zs)
bchan=13-23
nethdlc=1-12
dchan=24
/etc/zapata.conf:
switchtype=national
context=pri-in
signalling=pri_cpe
group=1
channel => 13-23
I can get hdlc0 (and pvc0) up just fine after the
