call pickup and ring groups
I'm having trouble with call pickups.
Suppose ring group is 100 and has extensions 101 and 102.
Someone calls 100, 101 rings and 102 wants to pick the call up. If 102 dials **100, call pickup works. If 102 dials **101, call pickup fails.
In my dialplan I have:
exten => **101,1,NoOp(pickup extension)
exten => **101,n,Pickup(101)
exten => **101,n,NoOp(pickup group)

I'm trying to get "remote call pickup" (*8) working
and I'm running into a bit of a problem. First the machine specs.
This is a P4 2.66ghz w/ 512meg of RAM. I downloaded the CVS of asterisk
on 04-16-2004, but I'll probably try to upgrade to the latest tomorrow.
The machine has a T100P card and we are using channels 1-8 for voice,
and 13-24 for data. The

Call pickup and SIP phones
Hi List,
I have two Cisco ATA, one of them with two phones attached, and the
other with just one phone. The ATA with two phones is behind a NAT, and
Asterisk and the other ATA have public IP addresses. I can place and
receive and blind transfer calls between them all. (Sometimes I loose
registration from the ATA behind the NAT, but I think I have to upgrade
to the latest firmware in the ATA)

More than one hundred messages related to *8 or call pickup problem in

Hidden bug in *8 call pickup with Sip
Hi.
Seems that there's a hidden bug in sip call pickup
with *8.
If I pickup a Sip ringing phone from another sip phone
on the very first ring (before the first ring completes),
the ringing phone doesn't stop ringing, however the call
is connected ok.
But, if I pickup the call after the first ring,
(after the first, the second, or during the second,

directed call pickup with PICKUPMARK
Hi!
i have a problem with the PICKUPMARK of the Pickup() application.
E.g. A calls B. B is ringing. C wants to pickup B.
To make this work with PICKUPMARK I have to add the variable PICKUPMARK
to B. But how can I do this? B is just created inside the Dial()
application.
thanks

PS: If you wonder why I use the PICKUPMARK - Pickup(exten) does not work
for me as the incoming calls will

how can I pickup a call from a queue? Which context parameter do I
have to specify? The context that calls the queues application is
ext-queues. This is what I tried so long (777 is the extension of the
queue I want to pickup from):
exten => _**ZXX,1,Noop(Attempt to Pickup ${EXTEN:2} by ${CALLERID(num)})
exten => _**ZXX,n,Pickup(${EXTEN:2}@from-did-direct)

Hangup cause 111 after call pickup
Hello,
when picking up an incoming call from one ip phone on another ip phone,
the call terminates after about 5 to 10 seconds.
When reading out the hangup cause variable in the h-extention of the
dialplan, the hangup cause seems to be 111.
In the dialplan output, you can see that SIP-peer sipacc3 picks up the
incoming channel SipAgenT01-00001454, and the call is answered. After 7
seconds,

How can we pickup a call that is not going to a real extension?
Hello,
We have a situation where a call comes in, users are notified via an external process (curl request to web service), and we can't answer the call until a callee can call in and pickup the call.
How can we implement this functionality?
We tried using :

BLF/Call Pickup using SPA942, SPA962, SPA932
Hi all,
There are a lot of posts around the web about my question; unfortunately
I have not been able to get any of the solutions to work. I'm using
Asterisk 1.6.2.8 under CentOS 5.5. I'm trying to get call pickup working
for the secretaries that monitor their bosses' phones.
The BLF and the speed dial works great on the Linksys phones. Call
pickup is the problem.

Call Pickup how to display CND of incoming number
Is it possible to display the incoming calling number on a handset when trying to pick up a call from another handset?
I currently have Call Pickup working using *8, I have also used the PickUp application successfully but I'm not sure how to use these features so the handsets show the incoming calling number and not the number that you have dialled to pick up the call.

newbie question about PBX Call Pickup
Hi,
sorry for annoying question;
i read http://www.voip-info.org/tiki-index.php?page=PBX%20Call%20Pickup
without understanding:
1. how to add an ext. to a pickup group (ie:. how to populate pickup group)
2. how 'Directed pickup' does work?
"You dial the pickup number and your extension, and the call will only
transfer if it is your extension"
should i digit something like

Not call pickup for call to sip from mgcp phone
Just by the way, do anybody knows if call pickup of a call to a sip
extension from a mgcp phone is supposed to work (even if sip keeps ringing).
The scenary is as follows:
3@mgcp02 (ext 136) calls sip/julia (ext 133) and after It starts ringing
2@mgcp02 (ext 135) dials *8.
Nothing happens, only 135 gets congestion tone, 133 keeps ringing and in
the asterisk console I get:

Call Pickup Woes
Hello all,
I have an asterisk @ home system running 1.2.4. Call pickup seems to be a
bit of a problem. I've looked at a lot of posts and the wiki, which states
that you need to define the pickup extension in features.conf and the pickup
groups in sip.conf. I've done this, however there is no definition for *8 in
extensions.conf.
Is there supposed to be and it has been removed?
