capi question
hi,
I've been running a pure sip asterisk box for a while now with no
problems, and i've recently added an isdn2e line from bt in the uk.
everything is hooked up and i've got it ringing my sip extensions, but
the logs don't quite look perfect and i can't see any description of
what i should consider to be normal behaviour.

possible bug in chan_capi concerning context handling
Hello,
I am trying to configure asterisk 1.0.7pre to get incoming calls from an
ISDN line using an AVM fritz PCI 2.0 with Chan_capi 0.3.5. My problem is
that the context is not recognised in the /etc/asterisk/capi.conf
I have in /etc/asterisk/capi.conf 's section "[interfaces]" the
following directive
context=isdn
and the following directive in /etc/asterisk/extensions.conf in

chan_capi-cm 0.6.4 random outgoing MSN problem
I've having a big problem after having upgraded to 1.2.4 and
chan_capi-cm 0.6.4
When making outgoing calls I don't seem to have any control over the CLI
that is presented to the called party -- it can be any one of the MSNs
allocated to the line, allocated on what seems to be a random basis.
This is on a BT Business Highway line (which is essentially an ISDN2e
line with two built-in

chan_capi and only one B channel usable?
Hello list!
I have a Asterisk 1.2.10 running using the package from Backports.org
for Debian Sarge.
I have setup chan_capi (0.6.5 from Backports) and it seems that I am
only able to use on B-Channel.
When trying to place the second call I get:
CAPI INFO 0x34a2: No circuit / channel available
capi info shows:
Contr1: 2 B channels total, 1 B channels free
And capi.conf is:

Chan_capi MSN problem
All,
before I start, I have read the readme and realise the dial syntax has
changed since 3.5.....(and I really wish it hadn't).... anyway can
somone please help me round a config issue?
Previously I had a capi.caonf as follows. This config allowed me to have
multiple MSN's on the same ISDN/Fritz! card under seperate contexts.

AVM C2 chan_capi-cm-0.6.3 Error on Dial
I'm getting a strange error on one of the two controllers on an AVM C2
card under chan_capi-cm-0.6.3.
I have two ISDN controllers defined, both in the same group, both
connections are UK ISDN2e Point to Point:
On the third outbound call (both of the first two calls are handled by
the second controller "ISDN2",) I get this error :

chan_capi
Hi chan_capi users,
this thing is awesome, no delays like in modem_i4l!
Plus, it got those nice ISDN features.
Here's my question:
Does my service provider (Deutsche Telekom) have to provide me with
these Services (CD, ECT)?
(the Readme in 0.2.5 says "does not relay on service CD")
I know, that I don't have CFU,CFNR,CFBS (which I would have to order
seperately).
How likely

fritz pci / chan_capi / australia setup
Hi * Fans,
I have some fritz cards now, followed instructions from stuart hirsts email of Jun 28:
->
Thanks for your info but I think I have it working at last. Below are
the steps I took which might help others.
1) Download the PCI AVM drivers from ftp://ftp.avm.de/cardware
2) Download the Chan_capi from http://www.junghanns.net/asterisk/
3) tar -xvzf fcpci-suse8.0-03.09.10.tar.gz which

Very bad quality with AVM Fritz!card PCI and chan_capi
Hi everyone,
I have Asterisk SVN-trunk-r7498 running for a few months and I'm quite
happy with it. However, I am experiencing a quality issue with my AVM
Fritz!card PCI which is used with chan_capi. When somebody calls me on
this line he hears a lot of noise and I hear "scratches" and "plops". It
is very annoying. Below is is my /etc/asterisk/capi.conf

CAPI / Channels
hi all,
i have a probably very stupid question/problem.
for testing purpose i am trying to get asterisk running with two isdn
cards. I'd only like to here the demo sound when i call the number - but
nothing works.
The output of show channels is not showing any channel - should there be
4 channels ? - capi info shows my two cards perfectly.
The ISDN Controller's are attached to an PTMP

Routing Calls via chan_capi with AVM FritzCard
Hello asterisk-users,
I recently set up an asterisk server using Debian Sarge. I also added
an ISDN card (AVM FritzCard PCI) to the machine. I built amd installed
a new kernel (2.6.15.1) with modular support for the CAPI stuff and
also integrated the FritzCard driver available from AVM.
capiinfo succeeds in correctly showing the ISDN card.
When talking from one PC to another via SIP, everything

Syntax for 2 ISDN Cards
Hi there,
I searched in mailinglist and in web, but no answer to my problem...
Only this post with no answers:
http://lists.digium.com/pipermail/asterisk-users/2004-March/038994.html
I'm using CVS Asterisk (05/17/04) with chan_capi 0.3.1. (multiple
controller support). In my Asterisk-box there are 2 Fritzcards
(module for second card compiled with changes on sourcecode found in
the web).

chan_capi-cm, Euro ISDN bus: 2 extensions on same BRI port not working
Hello,
I am using a system with an AVM ISDN PCI card (fcpci) and asterisk with
chan_capi-cm-0.6. The hardware is connected to a Siemens Hipath 3550 PBX. As
a BRI connection has 2 channels and allows 2 simultaneous calls,
numbers/MSNs 6391 and 6392 were for provisioned for each channel. The system
is working (partly, read on), the trick is the correct cable wiring and
setup the PBX's port

AVM Fritz! + chan_capi + mISDN + PTP
Hello everyone,
I have been using an AVM Fritz! card with chan_capi and mISDN for
quite a while in PTM mode and it was working finely.
Now, I needed more DID/MSN, so I switched to PTP. But now nothing
works anymore :(
I am using Asterisk on Debian Sarge stable and installed Asterisk
along with chan_capi from apt-get. I installed mISDN from the CVS of
isdn4linux.de.
It is :

CAPI call transfer
Hi,
I am having trouble configuring CAPI so that call transfers work.
I make a SIP call to asterisk which goes out on ISDn via CAPI. Then
I
try to do a transfer from the SIP phone which doesn't work and
results
in the call being disconnected.
The error message given by asterisk is that it chan_capi can't find
an
entry for the outgoing msn for the transfer however the outgoing msn

chan_capi question
Hi all,
I've finally taken the plunge and had isdn installed.
It's a BRI from Telewest in the UK.
I'm told by the provider that it's in point to multipoint mode with 6 digit
presentation.
I'm using an AVM fritz (bt speedway) with the fcpci-suse9.1-3.11-02 driver.
Chan_capi seems to be installed fine.
I can receive incoming calls. However, I can't call out.
When ever i
