Xen guest and samba
Hello,
I am new to this list, but having been using CentOS for sometime.
I recently installed CentOS 5 on a test server to check out Xen. The
installation was smooth had so far I have everything working except I
cannot get samba to join our AD domain from the xen guest, using
para-virtualization, I setup. I am out of ideas, and cannot find anyone
having similar problems.
I have tested my

Howto Graph throughput?
I have successfully implemented a QoS system using HTB on a 2Mb/s
leased line and it works very well, but I would like to be able to
graph the three pipes to see what they are doing, eg: using MRTG or
similar.
Has anyone any experience or examples of how to do this please?
Thanks,
Chris

Distinctive Ring detection and caller ID
I have a line from BT (UK) connected to my asterisk system, on a
TDM400P.
I am able to see either distinctive ring cadences or caller ID but not
both. If I try to enable both, all drings show up as 0,0,0.
This is a pain because, if I make a call out over that line and the
number I call is busy, I can elect to camp on it (ringback), which
results in a different cadence of ring when the called

Can I add distinctive ring with asterisk and TDM400?
Hello -
I have a TDM400P with 2 FXO and 2 FXS modules.
Feeding the FXS modules are two VOIP lines which are terminated by
VOIP adapters and have regular RJ11 wires connecting to the FXS ports.
Since the two different VOIP lines have different phone numbers, and I
know and can tell asterisk which VOIP line is connected to which FXS
port, can I cause a distinctive ring on the extensions if a call

Zap channel occasionally misses dialing the first digit
....I THINK. When dialing 1+10 digits, I occasionally get a telco
message "You must first dial a 1....". When I look at the console, the
number is being sent to the ZAP channel properly. We're talking about a
couple of POTS lines on a TDM400P.
I'm thinking that it may be starting the dial too early after coming
off-hook because I can just redial and have it work (or not)

Distinctive ring confusion
I am somewhat unsure as to the definition of "Distinctive Ring".
What I am trying to achieve is to have Zap connected phones (TDM400P)
ring with different cadences depending on whether the call is incoming
on the PSTN context or an IAX2 context.
Googling, I find this from Mark:
I've added distinctive ring support to Asterisk now (also I've added

CallerID from POTS to SIP
Hello,
I'm having some trouble getting callerid to work through a distinctive ring
line. Specifically, I'm having a problem getting the callerid to pass from
an AT&T POTS line connected to a TDM400P to SIP phones, both hard phones
and soft phones.
What leads me to believe that it's a problem with the distinctive ring line
is that I have another AT&T POTS line connected

FAX detection not working
I am having a problem detecting incoming FAX. TMD22p (tdm400p 2 fxo, 2fxs)
As I understand it, I must have faxdetect = incoming to enable detection of the fax tone.
Then, I must have a [fax] context to pickup the line and send it to whatever extension the FAX device is on.
In my case, I ask it to answer immediately and do a distinctive ring (r3) to alert that is its a FAX call so no one picks

TDM400P + Asterisk + zaptel timer ?
Hello, I thought that my Digium TDM400P would be the right hardware to
support the zaptel timer, and put the following IAX.CONF entry to test,
(trunk=yes) in the example below
[VHAX]
type=peer
auth=md5

jitterbuffer=yes

secret=terriblesecret

But, it didn't work. So I had to

Empty Wildcard TDM400P as a MeetMe timer.
I've just moved into 3.3v PCI servers and found that my clone X100P
cards were lying about the 3.3v supported notch.
Can I use a Wildcard TDM400P without any modules as a timer for
MeetMe in a 64 bit 3.3v server?
Will I still need to plug the hard disk power cable into it?
Is there a better cheaper 3.3v MeetMe timer? (Boss doesn't trust the
kernel timer.)

first timer, so go easy on me
Hello fellow Wine users,
I have written an app that runs in Windows and I would like to try to get it
running under Linux using Wine. So I copied all of my files and binaries
from my Windows box to my Linux box (as well as all required DLLs.)
So far I have been able to get Wine to come up and start, only giving me:
'FIXME:pthread_rwlock_rdlock' and 'FIXME:pthread_rwlock_unlock'

AVM Fritz/Capi without suse ?
Hi All,
Has anyone had success with using the AVM Fritz PCI ISDN Card (v2) CAPI
drivers with a distro other than suse? The AVM driver is geared towards
suse, and after trying them with RedHat 9 I've not got very far. The
module compiles but dies when I attempt to modprobe it.
I've googled until I almost lost the will to live! What little
information
I can find seems to refer back to

The sound is played but I did not hear
Hello,
I have another little problem with my ZAPs channels, in fact, when I
received a call, I heard no sound while in the CLI, sound is played:

-- Executing [s at from-zaptel:1] Answer("Zap/4-1", "") in new stack
-- Executing [s at from-zaptel:2] BackGround("Zap/4-1", "hello-world") in new
