te410p and Telstra Onramp 10
Hi,
now that these cards have approval in Australia, has anyone had any luck in
connecting them to a Telstra Onramp 10 service? Are these configured as a
PRI, bchan=1-10, dchan=16 in zaptel.conf and switchtype=euroisdn in
zapata.conf? Better yet anyone have any of the above .conf files they could
share?
Is an onramp 10 what is referred to as a 'channel bank'?

BAD echo problems with Sangoma and Telstra
Hello,
We have an Asterisk 1.0.9 machine with a Sangoma A101 card fitted, it is
connected to a Telstra OnRamp E1 in Melbourne, Australia. The problem
we are experiencing is extreme echo and clicking noises.
These are only audible to the calling party, e.g. the person calling in
from the PSTN to Asterisk via the E1, the person on the SIP handset
cannot hear any echo or clicking, only the

Optus Australia Multiline SHDSL service
Hi,
I am currently trying to find a replacement for a dinosaur PBX and want
to replace it with a VoIP solution.
We have just moved our lines over to an Optus Multiline from a Telstra
ISDN Onramp 30 service with 100 lines.
My question for you good people is what sort of hardware do I need to
interface Asterix into the Optus Multiline? The Optus service is
terminated in my office to a SHDSL

Busy message on ISDN cards?
Hi all,
I'm new to asterisk and not too knowledgeable on ISDN, so please be gentle :)
I have a dual-channel Eicon Diehl Diva card in a Debian Woody box with
kernel 2.4.27, connecting to a Telstra (Australia) Onramp Home Highway
ISDN line. I'm pretty certain the card and line both work since
they've been used in this machine for PPP before this (but with an
older kernel with DoV

Zap/g0/ to a Telstra Mobile
I've installed a TDM400. Having a go with AMP.
I would like incoming calls to be put throuhg to an extension (at my desk)
and a mobile (cell phone) at the same time. Whichever picks up, gets the
call..
This should be possible with AMP (call groups, 200|201|0*0408xxxxxx), but it
didn't work, so I have created a custom-incoming in extensions-custom.conf
What is happening is, The extension

Newbie can't dial out to pstn
Hi,
I have just put in a tdm400p with 4 fxo modules and am trying to dial
out from x-lite to dial my mobile phone just to test.
The output in the asterisk console is like this
Executing Goto("SIP/2002-239b", "mobile|61400039953|1") in new stack
-- Goto (mobile,61400039953,1)
-- Executing Goto("SIP/2002-239b", "localcall|61400039953|1") in

e100p in Australia
I've seen this question asked before but haven't seen a definative answer.
Does the e100p work in australia? Did any one who was asking the question
before bite the bullet and get one? I can get a te410 if i really have to but
would prefer to stay with the cheaper option.
Any comments appreciated, Thanks

X100P with Caller-ID in Australia, anyone?
Hello list,
I have an X100P clone card, and I've been trying to get it to receive
Telstra Caller-ID without any luck. Hence these two questions:-
1) Will a genuine X100P work?
2) If so, where can I get one in Australia?
Cheers,
Jon

username as extension
Is there a way to have extensions automatically created for
registered sip users ?
I did some investigation and found some hope in chan_sip with
relation to the somewhat undocumented usereqphone option but i may be
totally off track.
All i want to be able to do is send a call to number@ip_address where
the number is the username configured on the phone that has
registered with asterisk

Telstra/Sangoma bouncing E1 D Channel
We just installed a box into a Melbourne site with a Sangoma A101U, it
is running the latest Wanpipe drivers and has Asterisk on it that
someone had compiled manually from source. This initially worked fine
but for the sake of consitancy we removed the existing asterisk and used
emerge to install it.
During this time the box was off of the e1 for about 8 hours and when it
was brought back

Sangoma on Telstra E1 Tx/Rx and Echo Settings
Do any of the Australian Telstra users have some working tx/rx gain
settins for the Sangoma cards on Telstra that I can try, echo is
acceptable but not perfect using 0/0.
I will also post them onto the wiki.

Australian STD "pips" & Telstra pstn
Hi folks,
just a quick update.... we managed to solve our problem by getting
telstra to turn of the STD pips on outbound calls.
We don't the effect yet on inbound (but we haven't had problems in the
past) as most of our lines with x100p's are
generally only used for outboung.

CallerID in Australia
Well, Once upon a time, I had problems receiving callerid, and then one
day, Mark was logged into my asterisk box helping with something else,
and I asked him about this, and he showed me a nice tweak to some source
file that made it work.
Some time later, I must have done hundreds of CVS updates, and along the
way, lost the above patch (one liner) and so callerID hasn't worked for

SMS to fixed phone line
Telstra (Australian Telco) has recently introduced a feature to allow
the sending of SMS direct to fixed analogue lines, with an appropriate
handset.
As best as I can figure out, this appears to use CID type signalling, or
at least on a line that otherwise has no CID on it, CID is sent, but
with a standard modem I can only receive the date, time, and phone
number (eg normal CID info).
After that

chan_capi setting ${DNIS}
Is there a reason the variable ${DNIS} does not get set with incoming

Is it related to the MSN=X in capi.conf ?

E1 cards
We are not having any luck with the E100p card here in Australia, it
will work with a crossover cable to another device but will not talk to
our Telco Telstra who probably have a weird implementation of an E1.
Any suggestions on a replacement?
