However, in my case I have incoming calls arriving on an IAX channel from a PSTN gateway. I think the concept is the same. That said, if incoming calls have access

Re-assigning vector elements based on their initial values.
Is there an eloquent solution to re-assign vector element values? I have a vector which contains chemical data, some of them are "flagged" as non-detected values by their negative values. I can find the statistics on the positive values in vector "v" simply by typing: >v<- c(5,5,-3,-3,7,8,10) > v[(v>0)] [1] 5 5 7 8 10 I can also convert to positive values by

data manipulation involving aggregate
hi all, I often have a data frame like this example data.frame(sq=c(1,1,1,2,2,3,3,3,3),area=c(1,2,3,1,2,3,1,2,3),habitat=c("garden","garden","pond","field","garden","river","garden","field","field")) for each "sq" I have multiple "habitat"s each with an associated "area". I

Timing source on SMP system
I need a timing device for the DL360G2 for conferencing and meetme. For a timing device I have 2 X100P cards but neither will work in my DL360G2. The system will not even boot with either card in the system. Other PCI cards seems to work fine. I called Digium support and was told that there must be a conflict between the card and my Compaq DL360G2. I then moved on to ztdummy. I'm sure the

boxplot(list(m[,1],...,m[,c]))
Given a matrix m, I would like to obtain a boxplot of the columns of m; in other words, boxplot(list(m[,1],...,m[,ncol(m)])). At the moment, I am using colpart <- function(m){ L <- list(rep(0,ncol(m))) for(i in 1:ncol(m)){ L[[i]] <- m[,i] } return(L)} boxplot(colpart(m)) for this purpose. Surely there must be a more eloquent way! Richard

Timing source on SMP system - Disable RTCforzaprtc
Any help would be appreciated as I am a novice trying to work around a difficult situation. This is what the zaprtc helpfile says: zaprtc, getting zaptel timing out of your realtime clock ======================================================== Make sure that you _dont_ have rtc support compiled into your kernel! Hi, I just read this blog article from austrian Linux expert Michael Kofler. For those among you who don't know the guy, he's my home country's number one Linux expert (known as "der Kofler") and most notably the author of a series of excellent books about Linux over the last 25 years. https://kofler.info/centos-8-wertlose-langzeitunterstuetzung/ Disclaimer : I've been

question about PSTN pickup
hi all, you'll have to excuse the ignorance (i'm a software guy, not a telcom guy..) Is there any way to know if a channel has been answered by an automatic system (like voicemail) rather than a human being? Specifically, I want to use a .call to make a call on a channel and only do something if a person answers, not a machine of any kind. Is this even possible, or is an answered

TDM-400 and dialplan -- how to ring a SIP ex tension *before* answering the PSTN line?
the caller is out his money anyway when you call any phone and voicemail kicks in, although i think on a payphone they give you a 2 or 3 second window to hang up. Suggest you implement i'm here / i'm away dialplan logic or set the do not disturb button that way when someone calls and the guy is away it hits voicemail right away and the caller can hear this and still have the 2 or 3

TDM-400 and dialplan -- how to ring a SIP extension *before* answering the PSTN line?
Hi, folks: Okay, so here's an idea. I have a TDM-400 card with an FXO card in it connected to the PSTN and a Polycom IP 501 phone. Observe the following simple dialplan for illustration: > [incoming] > ; incoming calls from the FXO port are directed to this context from zapata.conf > > exten => s,1,Answer() > exten => s,2,Dial(SIP/polycom) And zapata.conf: >

Dial plan question: PSTN via Linksys SPA3102 then IAX if busy?
Hi All, In our small office calls to the PSTN are currently sent via Asterisk and a Linksys SPA3102 (1 x FXO and 1 x FXS): SIP Phone --> Asterisk --> Linksys SPA3102 --> PSTN If the PSTN is in use on SPA3102 I need a way to get the call to then route out over IAX termination. SIP Phone --> Asterisk--> Linksys SPA3102 --> PSTN (In Use)

IXJ card doesn't want to dial out (see previous thread, asterisk won't answer pstn ring)
Hi all, Currently trying to get asterisk to dial out with an Internet Line Jack card, however, it does not use the pots line, only on the line it dials out of. This is similar to the previous thread/posting "Asterisk won't answer pstn ring", but I didn't find any follow up to get it working. My asterisk setup is like this: iptelephony:/etc/asterisk# cat phone.conf | grep -v
