bitopts functions overflowing page boundarys
u.inuse.type_info is at the end of the pfn_info structure, and is
u32 for both x86_32 and x86_64--in this location it can also be the
last 32 bits of a page.
several functions use bitopts.h functions to manipulate this member, and
on x86_64 these functions use u64 instructions, which will overflow the
page boundary, and possibly the end of memory as we see here:

[LLVMdev] llvm.org bug trend
Over most of the past year, I have been keeping an eye on the overall LLVM.org open-bug count.
Sampling the count (almost) every Monday morning, it is a consistently non-decreasing number.
I thought I'd post something about it to the Dev lists, as the count broke 4000 this past week.
For your entertainment here's a chart that Excel produced from the data. (To make it more
dramatic, I

Problem on FC3
I''m getting a VFS kernel panic when trying to booting to FC3 from Xen.
Its the one that says I must supply a valid "root=" option. (sorry I
don''t have it verbatim.)
I''m using the xen-2.0 binary installer, kernel 2.6.9. I am using
ext3fs, but I am fairly certain that I have compiled support into the
kernel. (I''ve tired compile xen from the 2.0

Unresponsive Agents - PE 2.0
Hi there,
I am relatively new to Puppet (totally new) and had been cruising
right along for a few days until about a week ago when our puppet
agents went unresponsive. I''ve restarted both them and the servers
several times to no avail. Can anyone point me down the path of how
to diagnose this issue? We are currently evaluating Puppet to bring
into our Enterprise for managing server

[LLVMdev] [cfe-dev] llvm.org bug trend
It would be really nice if our bug tracker had something like the "Issues:
30-day summary" that this jira instance has <
https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/LUCENE>.
Another interesting statistic that might be interesting to plot alongside
the "open bugs" graph is "total lines of code" (or maybe just plot the
ratio "bugs/LOC").

Hi All,
My family and I are doing well. Thank you all for your prayers.
We are using this as an opportunity to rebuild. I didn't think I really needed to but God knows best and we will obey.
My family and I will temporarily be in Lafayette, Louisiana for a while but will probably relocate to Houston, TX in the future. We already have my Daughter registered in school here.

wine and slideshow.exe
It works.
I had a slideshow on my PC made by my brother-in-law last Christmas, so I put
it on my Linux PC and ran "wine slideshow" yesterday. It ran without a
hitch.
Well done!

[LLVMdev] llvm.org bug trend
This week, for the very first time since I started sampling (14 months ago),
the weekly open-bug count went DOWN.
Traffic on llvm-bugs indicates that Bill Wendling is doing a lot of this. Huzzah!

looking for input on broadband router with QoS and VPN support
Hi,
We're installing an * box next week (pbxtra from fonality) and I'm
trying to come up with a solution for remote users that want a phone in
their home. I need VPN and QoS capability, wireless support would be a
nice to have. Ethernet handoff is fine, i don't need integrated dsl or
cable modem...
I've been googling and cruising the list and can find bits and pieces

Re: ocfs2 and configfs.ko..fixed...but gnuparted has issues....
I was able to get the source code for ocfs2 and compile it. This worked and created the necessary .ko files
Now I have to figure out why gnu parted 1.6.15 has bugs. when I try a partprobe on a partitioned firewire maxtor drive
mount -t ocfs2 /dev/sdb1 /u01/oradata/orcl
It says no such device....
Any ideas anyone?...

hostname is missing in the output from "smbstatus -b"
Hello dear group,
we have migrated our Samba server from version 3.6 to Samba 4.6.
Everyting is working fine, but I have seen one difference in the
output from "smbstatus -b".
The hostname in the output is no longer displayed (see examples below)
1) The hostname must come from Session setup or similar, because we
don't have any
name resolution for clients.
2) The hostname from

assignment to a symbol created by paste
Hello,
I am creating a number of objects that I wish to have a common name with
an index such as x1, x2, x3, ... I would like to do everyting in a loop to
make the code compact and minimize the probability of an error by typo.
A test problem may look like
for (j in 1:10){
as.symbol(paste("x",j,sep="")) <- j;
}
which ideally would produce x1 = 1, ... x10 = 10. However,

dovecot.conf: default_mail_env
I just installed Dovecot on Debian and everyting seems to be working
fine except for the fact that it can't seem to find my mails when I log
in. All my mails are stored in the file ~/mail/Inbox. In the
dovecot.conf file I put:
default_mail_env = mbox:~/mail/:INBOX=/var/mail/%u and it's not working.
What is the part: mbox:~/mail/ for ?
and what is the part: INBOX=/var/mail/%u for ?
