Ring Voltage Supplied by Wildcard TDM400P REV E/F & AUTO FXS/DPO
Hi; I'm trying to connect a TDM400P with an FXS module to a Valcom V-9940 Paging adaptor. This port on the TDM400P was connected to a 2500 Set and was working I just re-connected it to the Valcom (which is known to work on a Telco POTS line) and its not picking up. The Valcom docs say it need a minimum of 75 Volts at 20-30 Hz to recognize a call... So the question is what ring voltage

TDM400P with FXO/FXS hangup problem
Hello, I've got an Asterisk server with a TDM400P with 2 FXO modules and 2 FXS modules. This server is connected to 2 PSTN lines and 2 analog phones. In my Zaptel configuration, I've defined 2 groups : one for the 2 FXO's and one for the 2 FXS. The asterisk server is just used to add a little IVR and Voicemail service. Eveything works fine, but sometimes the conversation is

how to make asterisk drop battery on a FXS?
I connected two plain old telephones to FXS lines of a TDM400P (defined as fxoks in zaptel.conf), one of them dials the other with Dial(Zap/2), I talk to myself for a while, hang up either of the phones, and the phone that remains off-hook gets the congestion tone until it goes on-hook (at least as long as I've cared to wait). I don't have a voltmeter on the line, but if I'm hearing

TDM400P not detecting hangup and not hanging up
Canuck15, No, I hadn't played with the gains. But I've now done so and no difference unfortunately. Thanks for the suggestion though. I have discovered that after Asterisk has answered the call and the remote caller has hung up, if I lift the receiver on a phone connected to the line (in parallel with Asterisk), Asterisk then DOES instantly hang up. Would it be reasonable to assume the

TDM400P FXO - Any one got it working well in UK without Hangup problems
Hi Guys, I recently got a TDM400P 4 FXO for use in the UK, this at the time seemed like a good idea as I had good results with an X100P clone. Installation went great and call clarity is excellent no echo like I had on the clone card. My problems start with detecting hanging up the line. If a person calls into the system and speaks to me on a SIP phone when I hang up the call clears

FXO module in TDM400P (UK, BT) - Hangup
Thanks for the suggestion. I have busydetect=yes in zapata.conf. You refer to "Martin's algorithm". tdm400p fxs module busy
Dear All The setup is te110p with an 8 channels PRI to make and receive all calls. SIP phones throughout the company. TDM400p with 4 FXS modules to send/receive faxes and make credit card transactions. I have an analogue phone on the tdm400p for testing. I can receive calls to the exten. There is a dialing tone. However, when I try to make a call I get a busy signal. Asterisk stated busy then

zaptel and low ring voltage
Hi all, Several months ago we built an * box with a quad-FXO tdm400p (REV e/f). >From the get-go, there has been a problem where occasionally (2-3 times a week) zaptel/* will not detect the ringing on a line. (The call will ring through to telco voicemail). The problem is not specific to a single line or FXO port on the tdm400p. I have 2 theories: #1 - the ring voltage for some calls is

TDM400P won't ring GM phone of mere 0.1B
This is rather bizarre: My TDM11 (one FXS) rings a $10 passive phone with REN of 1.0B, a cheap speaker phone of 0.3B, and a cordless phone with marked REN of 0.0B. But it couldn't properly ring this 27935GE3-B (FCC ID G9H2-7930) cordless phone rated at merely 0.1B. Rarely, the phone will crack out an occasional weak and abrupt beap, but never a normal ring. Otherwise Asterisk and TDM400P

TDM400P Problems
Hi, I have just started to setup and configure my asterisk box and am having trouble with it. I have a dlink nic in the box as well as the digium card. When the nic is in there by itself it works, but when I put the tdm400p in, there seems to be some sort of conflict with the network card. The tdm appears as another type of network card, which I don't think it should, should it? It shows

TDM400P > BT
Hi folks, Any Brits on the list got experience of hooking devices with standard BT plugs to the TDM400P? The TDM400P has the RJ11/RJ45 socket but I'm not sure if a standard adapter will do the trick or if we need to consider ring capacitors etc. Any links to buy the stuff would also be appreciated. Digium TDM400P in Soekris net5501-70?
Hello - I've been running Asterisk (quite happily!) for several years now using a Digium TDM400P card in an old Linux box (P4 1.6 w/ 256MB RAM). I'm also running another old PC running m0n0wall as a firewall. Between these two boxes, that run 24x7, I'm drawing a lot more power than needed and hoping to make a dent in my monthly electric bill by consolidating the two into a single box

False hangups with TDM400P and Kewlstart
Hello all! I have tried and tried to resolve this one to no avail. Hopefully one of you can help... The system in question is a Compaq Evo D600 (iirc) business desktop, with a 1.4GHz Pentium 4 and 512mb of RAM, running a stock install of PoundKey 1.2. It has two Digium cards installed: a TDM400P with four FXO modules, and a TE110P hooked to a Carrier Access Adit 600 which serves 8

Empty Wildcard TDM400P as a MeetMe timer.
I've just moved into 3.3v PCI servers and found that my clone X100P cards were lying about the 3.3v supported notch. Can I use a Wildcard TDM400P without any modules as a timer for MeetMe in a 64 bit 3.3v server? Will I still need to plug the hard disk power cable into it? Is there a better cheaper 3.3v MeetMe timer? (Boss doesn't trust the kernel timer.) -HJC

DTMF from TDM400P and X100P
With one IVR payment system, I noticed quite a difference in DTMF transmission between these two cards. The IVR missed nearly all digits from X100P, while receiving digits from TDM fine. Since neither card process or synthesize audio, what can the difference be? (This particular IVR has problem with some regular phone devices, too.) Yuan Liu

TDM400P Circuit/channel congestion problem

S110M (FXS) Modules no longer seen on TDM400P
I have a TDM21B (A new TDM20B that just arrived plus a X100M that I already had). This card sometimes works, and sometimes only the FXO module is seen. (correction to previous message that incorrectly listed X400M/S400M when I'm using only the single port versions of these modules (X100M/S110M). By "works", I mean all 3 modules have the green lights on the ports on and when

TDM400P (TDM22P) and aux power.
I need to ask, to refresh, is the aux power connector on the TDM400P card *only* to power the ringer on any analog phones/devices on the system? Can I still use this board, to "terminate" POTS lines and use all SIP Phones? Due to circumstances, I end up with a 1u server that has no aux power connectors available. I "have to" use this server, so am considering abandoning
