Clipping on outbound calls via SIP/IAX
I'm hoping someone can help me with a problem I've been having for a while
now. I've googled and wiki'd to no avail.
Whenever I place an outbound call from * to a PSTN through a SIP or IAX
provider (e.g. Voicepulse or Broadvoice), the first 1/2 to 2 seconds of the
remote call are clipped (muted). For example, if I call a remote voicemail
system that usually answers with

Autio cut off at beginning of call
I posted this question a while back, and I'm posting again in hopes that
someone has some ideas. Sorry if you've already seen this.
When dialing out using a SIP or IAX provider (Broadvoice, SimpleTelecom,
VoicePulse Connect) I often find that after the call is answered the first
few seconds of audio are cut off (i.e. I don't hear the called party). This
usually results in the called

Help With Broadvoice
Hi all,
I am trying to configure my Asterisk PBX to connect to a broadvoice
account. I want incoming calls to go to the "s" extension and to
ultimately have outbound calls routed through my broadvoice account(s).
I cannot for the life of me get this to register correctly. I am
currently receiving this message on the console:

USING TWO ACCOUNTS WITH BROADVOICE
Hi,
I have two accounts with broadvoice.
Now, I want to be able to distinguish between them.
I though that this would be simple by adding "/EXTEN" at the end of the
register statement. For example:
register => num1:pass@sip.broadvoice.com/1000
Unfortunately, this is not working.
When I call into my box I hear busy tone.
My config looks like this:
[root@voip asterisk]# cat sip.conf

Asterisk@Home, AMP, and Broadvoice
Egad, not again with Broadvoice! Anyhow, I recently installed AAH and
configured my TDM11B and got that and some SIP phones working. I still
have some issues to work out, etc, but my current problem is Broadvoice.
I have checked out all of the online resources, including the recent
list exchange about the recent changes made by Broadvoice. However, the

BroadVoice usage?
Hi all,
I've been trying to use BroadVoice as a SIP service provider. They don't
officially
support * but are helpful when it comes to answering questions for setup
parameters. They claim they have no firewalls or access lists that need to be
set up so I can get access to their servers.
However, something's still not quite right when I use the parameters.
It looks like our Asterisk

Broadvoice outgoing problems
Hello All,
I'm just getting into *, and trying to use a Broadvoice account. It works inbound, but Outbound fails no matter what sip.conf parameters I try. From the recent posts here I think it could be:
A bad CVS release - I will try to download and build from a new one

weird outbound problem through broadvoice (new)
Hello,
Have a weird problem when using asterisk (1.0.6). There are certain
numbers I cannot dial when using asterisk with my broadvoice account.
No problems with inbound. With outbound calls, I can call some numbers
(for example broadvoice customer support number) and unsuccessfully with
some. However, when I configure my account directly on x-lite, I dont
see these outbound problems.

Broadvoice getting unregistered
I'm getting a couple strange things with asterisk on Broadvoice.
It works fine currently for inbound and outbound. Everything is
registered, its perfect.
My problems currently are:
1) After 20 minutes audio out to broadvoice goes away
2) After about 3 hours my registration attempts to broadvoice time out
and the only solution is to switch to a different proxy which
subsequently works.

I have just installed * from the latest CVS and I can make calls via X-Lite to outside numbers but for only 30 to 35 Seconds at a time then Broadvoice will hang up on me but X-Lite will not know it. Once I hang up X-Lite then I will get the following error message:
