hi folks. i recently upgraded asterisk to 1.6.1.17(from 1.2) and i'm having problems with fax. after receiving fax with the ReceiveFAX app. everything seems ok. the .tiff file was there, phone line seems to hang up. then asterisk will crash. any ideas? also i looked in the log file. this is what before it crashed: [Mar 8 12:12:12] WARNING[30115] app_fax.c: WARNING T.30 ECM carrier not found

I am having a problem with Polycom auto-answer. I have the auto-answer working between PhoneA and PhoneB, but when I try to use the intercom between more then one phone I start having problems. Using tiff2pdf, or tiff2ps -a2 or even tiffsplit, the last page of the fax is cut off and the quality of the text looks "squished". Hi, I have got my Asterisk server running with TDM400 card (2xFXO & 2xFXS). I originally had the system configured with a Panasonic fax machine on one of the extensions. Still, something is still strange to me, since this two Panasonic Fax machines are receiving at least 20 multi-paged faxes a day (they are in same office as both Asterisk boxes, and me :) ). Well, my faxes passes through asterisk successfully, however I still have some problems about fax reception by rxfax. The softfax answers, and negotiates transmission, however then as some stage of communiation something is wrong. I'm trying to send a fax to my asterisk box, however shortly after connecting the fax machine reports a "communication error" and hangs up. Below is the error I get from RxFax: Fast carrier training failed Nothing is written to the file system as far as the tiff is concerned. Any ideas on how to fix this?
